So it's basically what it says on the tin. You don't know me, and I don't know you, but the internet is a wonderful and terrifying place which let's us connect with each other. Let me be your Tumblr DJ for you to share with the world what do you listen to now, when inside? All kinds of songs are welcome, and all genres too. Videos and songs from balconies and windows, as well as the wonderful things and shenanigans humanity gets up to during these dark times. My asks and messages are open to you all to share with the world. If you want to, send a small text attached to your song recommendation where you tell me where you are from (country, city, flag) and how quarantine is going for you. You can also send short anecdotes or funny things you've seen your neighbors are doing.
P.s: I've been gone the last couple of days because my life has become (more) hectic. We had 11 students testing positive for Covid today, all in the year above me in medicine. Considering that we're doing our hospital rounds and have in person compulsory seminars in small rooms.... things aren't looking to bright right now. That said, maybe my mood will get better once I get food, sleep and a day old perspective on the problem, we'll see how the situation develops
I look forward to post songs from all around the world, in all languages possible, as it is always a joy to listen to new music and learn about different cultures through it. Any and all suggestions are very welcomed, not only new songs or mainstream music!
A South American classic nowadays, a song I actually grew up with. Still, if you play this in a crowd of colombians they will probably sing the whole thing word for word!
I've been listening to her for quite a while now, I discovered one of her videos singing in a fjord somewhere in Norway and I thought her language is very neat. Turns out she sings in Faroese, and she has albums both in her mother tongue and English. I find her music to be very interesting and you can tell it apart from other Scandinavian artists, especially in her Faroese albums. Check her out if you want something different and cool!
