instead of wheel of the year im using wheel of witchblr discourse that makes the rounds every few months to tell time and figure out when to plant and harvest my crops.
my new sabbat list includes:
someone doesnt understand the 3fold law is only a wiccan thing and starts curse-shaming non-wiccans for cursing
the “blessed be” debacle happens again, creepy invasiveness be damned
people conflating wicca with witchcraft / gatekeeping other people’s crafts
cultural appropriation in droves so we have to bring out the afterschool special ^tm posts (special addition, appropriating person says “i was that race, but like,,in a past life”)
someone wants to shame people who like aesthetics, calls them “fluffy bunnies”
TEH BURNING TYMES WERE REAL AYE TELL YEA AND I SAW GOODY PROCTOR WITH TEH DEVIL
“witchcraft is only for cis womyn uwu✿ ” bullshit, sometimes even brought back by terfs that dont even practice witchcraft ??¿?
someone has a problem with other people using emoji spells, despite no one forcing this rando to use emoji spells.
“love spells are basically rape” discourse happens about the same as a blue moon
this shit happens like clockwork man im telling ya

us witches get colds too
Tumblr media
hello greenies! i’ve been getting sicker and sicker as the seasons change and so have my fellow witches. this is a loose recipe that i use for colds and i hope it can help. sorry if the measurements aren’t exact!
for kettle:
4 cups of water
2 lemons
chopped ginger (an inch? maybe less depending on how strong you want it)
a small handful of peppermint (i have the hands of a child)
2 sticks of cinnamon
honey (will put in at the end)
for cup
1 cup of water
¼ of an inch of ginger
a few of leaves of peppermint
half a stick ( if you have powder use like 1 tsp?) of cinnamon
honey (will put in at the end)
directions
heat up water until it comes to a nice low boil/simmer. place ginger, peppermint, and cinnamon in.
after 4 minutes place thyme and lemon.
***for the lemon make sure you cut in half, squeeze out, and place the peels in the water (for kettles place 1 of the lemon shells in the water, for cup place a few slices). let sit for another 4 minutes. then when done put in cups!
put in as much honey as you want! (i use about a tablespoon per cup) stir clockwise and chant:
“Frost in the body, cast out.
Mother Earth bring to me health and wellness.
Bring to me the warmth of spring.
Frost in the body, cast out.”
visualize a green light flowing into the cup as you chant and as you drink that same light travels into you.
enjoy!!!

☁ Witchy Wednesdays #1 ☁
Banish Negative Energy from One's Life (Spell)
Materials Needed:
Lemon
Knife
Paper
Pen
Rope
Steps:
Cast a circle
Write the name of your target on the paper
Cut your lemon in half, or a slice if you need this done faster
Chant "When this lemon dries, let [Target Name]'s negative energy die"
Tie the piece of paper on your lemon half or slice
Wait for your lemon to dry, then squeeze the juice out of it and have your target drink it. You can make it into lemonade if you'd like.
Fuck You and Leave Me Alone (Revenge Spell Jar )
You Will Need:
A jar, preferably glass
A photo of your target
Paper and Pen
Dirt
Hot Sauce
Googly Eyes
Glue
Sewing Needle
Soy Sauce
Green Onyx
Black or red candle
Steps:
Cast a circle
Take the photo of your target, and stab a sewing needle into it. This will give them physical pain, depending on where you stab. For example, if you want to give them a migraine, stab the eyes. If you'd rather give them a stomach ache, the abdomen.
Coat the bottom of the jar with hot sauce, then soy sauce. Dump dirt on top of that. The soy sauce will additionally keep your target away from you.
Glue googly eyes to the sides of the jar. This will give them nightmares and paranoia.
Bury the photo in the dirt, then spit on where you buried it.
Put green onyx on top of the area the photo was buried.
Take your paper and write anything else you want to affect them on it. Some examples can be emotional pain, bad luck, or financial struggle.
Finally, drip candle wax on the lid to seal it, while chanting "You've caused me so much emotional pain, so much stress, now you're someone I detest. Here's my send-off, one last middle finger."

Think about why it’s illegal to hire a hit man.
All you’re really doing is speaking and giving someone money.
It’s legal to speak.
It’s legal to give someone money.
Even if they actually complete the job, you’re not the one who committed the murder.
So why is it illegal to hire a hit man?
Could it be because inciting violence is not protected under free speech?
And if that’s the case, why should free speech protect Nazis advocating genocide?

Time to fucking boycott the Olympics for being so goddamn ignorant.
Like seriously, you're REALLY gonna UNFAIRLY disqualify a woman who was grieving her mother's death.
You're REALLY gonna UNFAIRLY disqualify women whose testosterone levels are naturally higher than the average female.
You're REALLY gonna UNFAIRLY ban swimming caps designed for black hair and caps with the phrase "Black Lives Matter".
You should be ashamed of yourselves for this, and all of the terrible shit you've done in the past.
Oh and those women were all black. If that doesn't tell you what's up with the Olympic Committee, then I don't know what. They've always been racist and misogynistic.

Brigid's presence is so gentle, the main word that comes to my mind when I think of her is 'Mother'. She reminds me of all the flowers but in particular those flowers who have the gentlest of scents, like jasmine and lily. She also reminds me of the Moon.
I love my mother Brigid

Actually, witchcraft is based off quantum mechanics/quantum physics! They go hand in hand (for the most part) things like the law of attraction and grounding have been proven by science.
this is probably a dumb question but how can you follow science and still believe in witchcraft ? since science can’t back things like spirits or spells up ?
Science and spirituality are two different things that follow two very different rules. You can't apply the scientific method to personal experience for example, or feelings, or really with anything that is subjective.
I always always believe science when it comes to objective facts, and anything it can prove.
But, you can never prove a negative. Science can't prove magic doesn't exist, or that deities don't exist, or that aliens don't exist. So, you can never know if these things do exist.
Witchcraft works, for myself, due to a mix of psychological and placebo effect. Maybe there even is some higher power out there too. Who knows?
Science, at the end of the day, is a tool. And so is spirituality.
However, when you see witches making claims they can do things and they don't back it up with proof, I don't believe them. That's why you'll never see me saying I can do something that I cannot provide evidence for. I do worship deities but fuck if I know if they're really there or not, yknow?
