Safety Razors (or why Markets make things worse)
So I have been using an old style safety razor for about a year now.
I’m shocked at how much better it is at everything. It’s a closer shave, and the blades stay sharp for much longer. Not to mention it works out being vastly cheaper.
I genuinely can’t understand why cartridge/disposable razors became so popular.
Except I can. I totally can figure out why. Because safety Razors don’t make…

Reconnecting to the soul of technology.
The refrain that we need to reconnect to nature is a deep and understandable need. In the hegemony of the global north at least.
We live in a society deeply bound up ways of life disconnected from a lot of things humans need.
Exposure and interactions with fauna and flora and the ellements are vital to us and our lives often do not permit this.
So our need to reconnect to nature feels obvious…
