Shout out to persecutors who aren’t “reformed.”

You are in your system for a reason. You were split from blood, sweat, tears, and trauma. So much trauma. Someone needed to be mean. Someone needed to be the asshole. And you’re the person who got that job.

You may not like your job. You may love it. But regardless, it’s yours, and you are needed here.

You don’t need to be “reformed” - you don’t need to be good to be welcomed. Yes, the goal is recovery, the goal is to become better - but everyone is at different stages of recovery, and sometimes, that point of recovery just is not attainable yet.

Shout out to persecutors. You don’t get enough love.

Something I realized about DID is that you don't have to limit your hobbies or activities just because your an alter.

It took a stupid amount of time to realize this. Before any skills that where built up over time weren't something that I thought would be possible for us. Expecially if only one alter has an interest in it.

Its ok to struggle to recognize that an alter is their own person. That includes everything that comes with it. Even though you're running on a shortened clock you should be allowed to do whatever you want.

Don't limit yourself just because you're afraid you won't have time for something. Do whatever hobby makes you happy. As long as it's healthy and safe.

Very tired of only seeing singlets refer to fictives as something people ““have”“ as though it’s inconceivable to them that we could be the host of our system.

I figure it’s gotta be a result of one of the following things:

-The idea that host = “original” and is a static role within the system, which on several levels is simply not how it works.

-Singlets only seeing fictives as being like, “blorbo from your brain” (like an idea of a character you have in your head that talks to you or something like that) instead of fully-formed alters with our own agency, thoughts and feelings.

Really hope it’s not the latter because jfc. Fictives already have to go through so much shit. System gatekeepers will see our existence in a system as evidence that we’re “faking.” People will make moral judgements about us to our faces if we’re a character / from a piece of media they think is problematic, like we’re supposed to respond to the criticism by simply ceasing to exist. Mental health spaces not specifically designed for us won’t take our needs seriously.

PLEASE start treating us like real people.
