Another aspect of the Gaza Genocide that I want to talk about is the complicity of Internet banking and crowdfunding websites like GoFundMe.

I have seen multiple Gazans raise enough money to leave for Egypt, but the banks and the crowdfunding websites freeze their money or cancel their funds for "suspicious activity" or whatever. Every day that passes in Gaza supplies get more scarce, conditions get more deadly, and the price to cross into Egypt gets more expensive. I've seen people, like ghost-90 here on Tumblr, raise the full amount to get their entire family out of Gaza, but their money gets frozen for so long that the original goal is only a fraction of the price now needed to cross the boarder.

These financial institutions should not be allowed to get away with contributing to the death toll in Gaza. They are intentionally keeping people trapped in a kill zone by withholding money that is rightfully theirs.

I'm so pissed and angry that every avenue for relief for Palestinians is being cut of left and right. It is vile that Gazans are being extorted for 10s of thousands of dollars by the Egyptian gov just to save their family's lives, but even when they play by this corrupt game, the world still finds a way to make them suffer.

My heart is with every Palestinian for the rest of time, from river to sea you will all be free. 🇵🇸❤️

I totally understand how you feel, I've been feeling similar for months. I feel like people in the bllk fic part of the fandom on Tumblr has gotten so much less.... responsive? I rarely get fun tags or feedback and you know how often people send requests without reading my rules. It's become tiring.

I saw that in general, fanfic readers have become more silent and reblog less, comment less and give less feedback, no matter what fandom :( it's so sad because the whole reason to share fics is to bond with others who enjoy the same stuff. Bllk tumblr felt so different a year ago.

Take your time and return whenever you feel like it. Even if you just come here to post and reblog stuff that's not your fics, it's always nice seeing you on my dashboard :3

it’s so nice to see other people agree and relate to this. i would see fics in the blue lock fandom posted a long time ago and all the nice tags in the reblogs. it was so cool to see genuine discussion and commentary from the readers. it really makes me wish i started writing way back when.

i remember it would genuinely upset me whenever i posted a lazier piece with a simple format and it would get so many likes especially way more compared to the other stuff i would actually put my love and effort in. even then there was barely any meaningful interactions.

and you’re so right it doesn’t feel like sharing a mutual love for something cool anymore. it just feels so shallow now and has been for a while. maybe people aren’t seeing fanfics as a something someone put their heart into and instead as something to consume then move on to the next. no shade but you can definitely tell by what type of fics are always at the top.

it really sucks bc i just want a community to share to and there’s hardly any here.

there are plenty of reasons on why im inactive now but i think i just got tired of writing for this fandom even tho its the only fandom i really wanted to write for. idk how to explain it but the fanfiction part of this fandom is just hasn’t been that… fun or really engaging to be apart of outside of my mutuals and followers

i don't like to yuck people's yum but i have to say that my least favorite thing to come from the current state of Artists on the Internet is the idea of a sketchbook as something nice and pretty and shareable. like i love me a notebook full of gorgeous art don't get me wrong but that is NOT what a sketchbook is. a sketchbook is my friend who i carry around everywhere like a purse chihuahua. it is the physical manifestation of my notes app. it is the container into which i wring my brain out. it is my therapist. and most of all it is filled with absolutely terrible sketches that should never see the light of day.
