((Quick thought because I have a little bit of DC brain going on, if Marg were ever arrested and admitted into Arkham or Blackgate, she'd probably be doing pretty terribly!

For one, constant surveillance and her cell being well-lit is going to immediately cross out any avenue of escape on top of her being in manacles suited for her and her abnormal strength. Second? Lack of sustenance for Shade. Like we're talking about some bad spiraling for Margaret and a majority of the time just bad behavior because Shade is surfacing to try and break free herself.

3. how do you get yourself out of a writing funk?

Honestly? I just wait until my brain feels like writing again. My head is kinda weird like that. If I don't feel like writing for [insert hyperfixation], then my brain usually switches to [other hyperfixation]. It's just... always wanting to do something! But every now and again it's like flipping a switch on that might turn other switches off and... yeah, you get the ADHD interest hopping, lmao.

The only times I REAAALLY get into a funk is times where I'm super stressed out abt something upcoming and I just have to sit out that storm and wait for it to pass in order for me to be able to focus on writing ANYTHING at all.

10. talk about your writing

Oh gosh, uhhh... Honestly? I think I've come to love my writing as of late! I know when I started back in the RPC like, one or two years ago that I was HORRIBLY rusty like eugh I was not hitting those notes at all for a hot minute. But that's also because I was also making some moves irl and I was juggling that at the same time (still kinda am rn! but handling it better).

Now I'm like, I kinda see how others write? And I've adjusted accordingly and I've stopped kind of overcompensating in my sentences (kinda thanks to ENG Comp rn for helping bap that bad habit out of me) and I've started to loosen up to have fun. I'm happy with my inclination to some memey humor and actual serious writing! One of my biggest things I wanna do is spruce up on my horror and suspense cause I can do that in art, but text? Hoo boy it's a lot harder than I thought it'd be. I'm gonna make it one of my goals for this summer!

19. describe love

Love is something warm. Like, wrapping yourself in a blanket when it's 30 degrees F outside and you really don't wanna go outside so you're vibing inside. It's also when you tell folks that you care about them, when you hold them accountable, when you build them up... it's a lot of things, really.

Weird thing is, in my family it's a super complicated concept. To my family, it's hugs and kisses, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and accidentally fueling bad habits just for the sake of making that person happy because you love them. But that's not right. Sometimes, love has to sting a little bit, even if you don't want to hear a harsh truth about yourself or maybe about some people you surround yourself with. It's not bashing and belittling or tearing you apart, it's grabbing you by the shoulders, sitting you down so that you can open your eyes to that pitfall you almost just stepped into.

It's so much more than giving people you love what they want. It's giving the ones you love what they need. That's Love :)

+ On her better days, 2 Quarter Pounders with ten-piece nuggets with a side of large fries and a Sprite (yes, the cursed spicy McDonalds Sprite) On her simple quick eats days, two cheeseburgers and a large fry! (honestly Byan, you're probably gonna have to get her to diversify her tastes-)

+ She loves movies that have good, well-told stories the most! Horror movies are cheap these days (and when you have a demon inside you that plays with your mind, the horror movies really loose their bite). A lot of things from Illumination, Pixar, and even older Disney hold a close place in her heart! Break + Hate

Not So Nice OC Asks|Accepting!

break: What would cause your OC to break down completely? What do they look like when that happens? Has anyone ever seen them at their lowest?

Given that she's still in the process of trusting new people as potential friends, taking what autonomy she has left would be enough to break her. She's had her parents killed, she's been taken from her family home by a syndicate and forced to play by their rules, abducted by a cult, bound to a malevolent spirit that refuses to leave her alone, and is now at risk of tearing into the closest warm body at the whim of said demon if she's not actively battling it off. There's not a lot that she has left anymore.

Taking what little autonomy and normalcy she has would send her into violent hysterics, which wouldn't be a pretty sight to see. It'd be the equivalent of watching a wounded dog snarl and bite at everything trying to reach for it, even if they were helping hands. It hurts, she's in pain, and she will make it known how ugly the wound is (She's not gonna put the bat down, either).

hate: What does your OC hate? Why? How do they act towards the object of their hatred?

The very spirit driving her to stay alive despite everything that's happened to her. Shade has proven from day one that she doesn't care about how Margaret feels being forced to be a vessel for her. Not to mention, her presence has actively ruined Margaret's life and makes getting close to anyone that much harder.

Margaret abhors Shade, just as Shade abhors her, but Margaret's hate for her only serves to passively feed the demon and deepens the roots embedded into the Fixer's soul.

All Margaret can do is keep herself from succuming to total influence and stay the hell alive.

Not So Nice OC Asks|Accepting!

mistake: What's the worst mistake your OC ever made? What led to them making it? Have they been able to fix it? How have they moved on?

Margaret's greatest mistake to date stands as the night of the Black Hour. She didn't keep track of the time, didn't bring anyone with her because she was sure that it'd be a quick trip. That quick trip got her into the situation she's in now. She's made plenty of other mistakes for sure, but there has yet to be anything that trumps this for her.

It's also hard to move on from that night when there's a living reminder presently eating away at your life, so she's still "working" on that.

She's found no way to fix this yet. The one day she sought out a priest to forcibly remove the demon from her body, she was told that she was unsavable and would die if they even tried. So she's just accepted this as her burden to carry for life.

alone: How does your OC deal with loneliness? Have they ever been completely alone before? How do they act when there's no one around to see them?

Margaret handles loneliness about as unhealthily as you'd imagine. She'll hole herself up at home and scroll endlessly on her phone or start people watching on rooftops.

She's pretty much been alone for most of her adult life. After she ran from her old syndicate, thus separating from her one and only friend Leo, she'd completely isolated herself.. both for his sake and her own (or so she likes to tell herself).

Outside of everyone's view, Margaret is very mellow and melancholic by her lonesome. If she doesn't have any plans to terrorize goons or go out for snacks, then this is usually the time that her greatest woes creep up on her. It's also the time that Shade likes to try and pick her apart.
