TIL in 1896 a temporary, one-day city was named in Texas called Crush, where two locomotives were to be smashed head-on for purposes of spectacle. It was, for a few hours, the 2nd largest city in TX with 40k attendees. The collision caused engine boilers to explode, resulting in death and injuries.

What is your Hogwarts house?
Actually I've already processed all five stages of grief in regards to a beloved author from my childhood very publicly making the jump from "milquetoast liberal with unexamined biases" to "actively dangerous bigot who will double down into perpetuity" and will no longer be basing any part of my identity on her intellectual property! Thanks for asking!

"Mads and I talked a lot about the inevitable connection between Gellert and Albus forever. Meaning no matter how much regret or divergence that they've made since they've become adults, the connection they had, the like-mindedness or the shared ambitions of youth somehow bonded them eternally. And we wanted to put into place that sense of someone who you've moved away from, you know a big part of your regrets having had that friendship, nonetheless it is there forever. It's part of what defines you."

if i had a nickel for every time Mads Mikkelsen plays a gay supervillain who functions as the toxic influence to our hero i’d have two nickels. which isn’t a lot, but it’s still weird that it happened twice.

so the gellert kisses albus on the cheek rumour blew up. on one hand it has zero sources to back it up on the other hand i'm a big fan of collective delusion and assuming the gayest outcome until proven otherwise
