i hope you don't mind if i ask, what is SLVR? is it a fan thing, or something?

SLVR is a series of RWBY-inspired fan trailers by animator Mark Zhang, which started with his “Charcoal” trailer (featuring a character named Brandon Charbonneau) towards the end of 2014, with the first SLVR trailer (”Silver”, featuring Simin Megistus) dropping about midway through 2015, the second (”Viridian”, featuring Vella Moisia) towards the end of 2015, the third (”Linen”, featuring Lycan Arcadia) in 2016 and the fourth and final trailer (”Regalia”, featuring Ragora Cinarum) in 2019 - the Regalia trailer was also fully voice acted, which is cool

each character gets their own weapon and (aside from Simin) their own Semblance - its very much like “a story set in the world of Remnant”, and its cool to see, and its hinted that Brandon, introduced in the first trailer, will be in an antagonistic role against SLVR

they dont give much in the way of story, but there are enough hints and references to a story to generate intrigue, and watching the progression from the first animation to the last is spectacular (like the first trailer can be pretty stiff motionwise and is using a nightcore of an english cover of an anime OP, while the latest trailer has really fluid animation and original tracks composed by Brandon Yates, who also does musical tracks for Rooster Teeths Death Battle series and voices Lycan)

Mark has actually been approached by RT about working on RWBY because of how good his animations were - however he declined due to that requiring he move to Texas and it just not really being feasible (i think, i dont know the specifics). he does do animation work for Death Battle though, which is cool

i would avoid the comment section on the videos though because the number of people claiming that RWBY is “ruined forever” following Monty’s death (and thus not wanting Mark to collaborate with RT) or some other such bullshit can get… incredibly frustrating

SLVR theories ?

I just want to talk about the things I noticed in the trailers and what I can tell about them :3

Simin :

He seems to have some kind connection with the moon? I mean in the begining of his trailer we see him looking up at the moon and triying to "grab" it.

And the song that is used in the trailer is "black paper moon" (soul eater openiiing !).

Also the moon is still in one piece ? Maybe it was just a mistake or it's another timeline ?? Or maybe it's just that in every trailer the moon is in a "full moon" phase. (And it's just too bright to see the different pieces of the moon)

Apparently he has no semblance. At some point (if I'm not crazy) I think Mark said he had the semblance of making things harder to break when he touches them, but he changed it and now Simin has no semblance.

He seems to get along with Ragora !

Lycan:

This boy is feral !

I don't really know if he is a faunus but he does fight like a beast. He doesn't really have any animal feature, maybe his sharp teeth, but it could just be how his teeth look like.

His semblance is described like a mix of Blake's and Sun's semblance.

The song that is used in his trailer is "Yoru wa nemereru kai ?" ("Can you sleep at night ?" also the song in Ajin's first opening)

Going back on the faunus theory, "Ajin" does mean "Demi-human" soooo...

Also his outfit looks a biiiit like what a White fang would wear, just a bit.

I wonder if he gets along with Ragora, he seemed to be so mad at her familiar xD.

Vella:

So! She was chased in her trailer, by two robots. Maybe because of a mission or maybe it was something that happened before she was part of team SLVR.

ALSO, the place where they fight is really special, it looks like a sea was frozen. It's also the same blue as her hair and eyes. Maybe she's connected to this place?

The song used in her trailer is "Aoki tsuki michite" (also used in Black butler's ending in season 3) which is a pretty melancolic song.

She seemed happy in Regalia's trailer, but maybe she's sad character ?

She was being such a dork making a peace sign xD (and only Ragora had the kindness of at least waving back x)).

Ragora:

Sadly, there isn't much we can tell from Ragora in her trailer, the setting isn't really hers, since all members of the team are seen.

She's the first to have an original song ! It's called "Drawing down the moon" (again with the moon).

She is a witch ! Also she has an attack that resembles Adam's (in a way).

I wonder if her and her familiar have some kind of emotional connection. Like it seems to have some kind of free will? It did lick Simin's face. Maybe it means she likes him ? Or maybe it's just her familiar.

(Sorry it's bad, I just wanted to write my ideas x))
