the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
It's a lot healthier to go for a daily walk than to sign up for a gym membership you won't be using because you hate that kind of exercise. It's a lot healthier to eat a frozen meal than to skip a meal because you were too tired to cook something healthy. It's a lot healthier to take a quick shower than to procrastinate an elaborate routine for days. Don't aim so high that you won't be hitting anything!
Can anyone help me find that quote talking about how we find relief in tricking ourselves into believing that people who commit atrocious acts (they) must be different than ordinary human beings (us) to convince ourselves that "we" , as normal human beings, don't have the ability to do the atrocious acts that "they" do? I saw it here on tumblr and I can't remember the whole quote pls help me find it i need it for a project😭😭😭
Slice of life mixed with horror elements is such an amazing combination. Horror just takes great advantage of SoL's inherent nature to just let your guard down and it's so bone-chilling when it hits. Imagine reading Shadow's House, thinking that it's a great SoL to relax to and just generally having a good time until you reach ch13 and that rosemary scene just... yeah you get what I mean.
i see posts here about how people are so mortified when they are acknowledged as being a regular customer somewhere that they never return. cowards. the employees at taco bell treat me like a celebrity. like royalty. i am their strange little pet customer who gets traded along as staff comes and goes. they know my car before i even speak in the drive-thru speaker. today i was 2 hours late and she ran over and squealed that she "thought i'd left them!" and that she "made my order with extra love!" and you what, she did
I am very confident that I would immediately get a job after I graduate because I have a special trick up my sleeve that employers really love and it's called "a complete disregard to one's health".
re: that last post, ive said it before and ill say it again: no one deserves to die (deserving is fake and death is bad) but some people need to be stopped and choose to make death the only way to stop them
