I wonder what it was like for Lenore, the only grandchild of the Usher line, to have grown up with the family. Sure none of the kids were close, aside from Leo and Camille and possibly Freddy and Tammy. And Roderick and Madeline seemed to have very "Grandparent that ignores the child for the grandchild" energy especially Roderick. Lenore was his favorite out of the entire family. But what was Lenore's relationship to the rest of them?
What did it look like for her growing up?
Aunt Camille and Aunt Vic threatening each other over Christmas dinner? Uncle Perry showing up looking like a disco ball since the family needed to "lighten the fuck up"? Uncle Leo laughing his ass off at it? Aunt Tammy already pouring herself a glass of wine while insulting half of her siblings? Dad getting involved in the fight apologizing for cursing yet does it anyways?
Birthday cards in the mail? Her first few birthday parties being thrown by Roderick and him demanding the entire family show up? Uncle Leo being the one who probably gave the best gifts cuz he likely cared the most? Or Aunt Camille who just mails her whatever is on the silent wishlist because she just knows things.
Was she close to any of them? Or were they just people who shared the Usher name (tho not technically) that she saw a couple times of year?

I rewatched tfothou again and if there actually had been an informant and not just Auggie lying through his teeth, it absolutely could have been Lenore. Would it have been obvious? Blantly. But best hidden in plain sight.

I'm watching a horror show in which someone fails horribly giving an onstage presentation and then dies horrifically, and genuinely it is SO much more painful for me to watch a fictional character bomb onstage than to watch them get murdered, so much so that the death is going to be a Huge relief for me as a viewer, and idk what that says about me but probably what it says is "fuckin' theatre kid". XD

the fall of the house of usher is fucking insane. it's like a jukebox musical, except instead of being a fun story based on the works of perhaps a popular musician it's a horrific yet horribly compelling gorefest set to the greatest hits of edgar allen poe. is it good? undoubtedly. but do i recommend it? fuck if i know

She was the closest to him because the older three didn't care too much for her and Perry has youngest children syndrome. Leo was the most torn up about her death. They did love each other and their friendship means so much to me
you ever think about how the only time we see camille with her walls down is when she is alone or with leo

just. Camille’s death? The absence of it is so striking!! And I realized, she’s the one in everyone’s life. Knowing and finding out every little dirty detail. She is clever and conniving. Nothing is supposed to be hidden from her.
Her death is brutal, and violent. But it’s also private.
The world has had its eyes on her life since she passed through the Usher’s door. Her death, though? That’s not for us. That’s hers.
