Bang Chan:

You were helping him in the studio one day. You were cleaning up the mess the members had left. You noticed one of the small couches covering wally so you decided to move it over a little. You used only one hand, not thinking about Chan seeing you.

THUD

Chan dropped the trash can to the ground, “what the-"

You immediately panicked, the spirit in your head was yelling at your unthoughtfulness, “HE SAW YOU IDIOT, WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO- YOU CAN’T TELL HIM ABOUT US!”

“I guess I’ve gotten strong,” you scratched the back of your neck. Chan crossed his arms, of course he wouldn’t believe you. “Not even the strongest people can move a couch with one hand, Y/N.”

He looked mad and he had every right to be. You wanted to tell him the truth but you would be in trouble if you did so. He laughed out of the blue, “tell me the secret.”

You didn’t answer and kept looking at the floor. “Y/N, you know you can tell me anything right?” you looked up at him, he was so nice he didn’t deserve to not know.

“I actually capture evil spirits. I’ve been a counter way before I met you. I have a spirit in my body that basically keeps me alive, I can also read memories by touching someone and have the strength you just saw. I wasn’t allowed to tell you and I am still not but you deserve to know," you gripped the couch, nervously waiting for his reaction.

Chan gave you a bone crushing hug while stroking your head, “you’ve been through so much and I didn’t even know.”

“You’re not mad?”

“Well, if you weren’t allowed to tell me then that meant you didn’t have a choice. Plus you wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t to that spirit so, THANK YOU SPIRIT!” He yelled into your ear, hoping that his message to the spirit got delivered.

“Your boyfriend is an idiot, you’re matching!” Oh what a kind spirit you were stuck with.

You giggled, relieved that he understood you. You didn’t even need to explain why you kept it a secret, he just knew.

“He can hear you without yelling into my ear.”

“He? It’s a he?”

“You must be Chan!” Ms Chu gave him one of her brightest smiles. So Mun waved at him and Hana nodded.

“Yes! It’s nice to meet you!” He bowed while holding your hand. Motak crossed his arms and whispered behind him, “Hurt her and I’ll hurt you.”

Chan jumped and turned around, “Yes sir!”

“Ahjussi, don’t scare him!”

“I heard you give the best hugs,” Motak walked in front of him, arms still crossed.

“W-who told you that?”

“Y/N,” He pointed at you. You smiled at Chan, it wasn’t a lie that he gave the best hugs.

“Give me one then!” Motak opened his arms. Chan’s ears turned pink and with a last glance at you, he hugged Motak.

“She wasn’t lying!” He gave you a thumbs up and a wink. You shook your head at him, all this tough act to get hugged in the end.

“I want one too!” So Mun jumped at them, wrapping his arms around both of them. Ms Chu joined them and you all looked at Hana, “Don’t even think about it!”

“I didn’t think you’d hug him- DON’T READ HIS MEMORIES!”

Lee Minho:

You were visiting Soonie, Doongie and Dori. Minho was in the kitchen while you played with the cats. You noticed Dori was about to jump from the couch to the table, there was no way she would make it since there was a lot of distance between them. You used your speed to catch her before she hit the ground.

“WHAT DID I JUST SEE-” Minho almost dropped the glass of water that he was holding, some water dropping on the floor. You both stared at each other for a good minute. Dori had left you to join the others, they were silent too.

Minho took a step forward, not believing what his eyes had seen. He stepped on the water and before his back could touch the floor, you caught him. His eyes went wide, “why can you move so fast?”

“Are you a vampire?” He gasped and covered his neck. You chuckled, trying to think of a way to tell him.

“See you in Yung in a few hours,” your spirit told you. She knew you too well, she didn’t need to ask if you would tell him. “Look, I am a counter.”

He stood up and and placed the now empty glass on the table, “what’s that?”

You got up as well and sat on the couch. You were too afraid he would be weirded out if you actually told him the truth.

“Will you tell me?” He sighed and approached you. He held your hands in his and kissed them. He knew he may have seemed a little bit harsh but that’s just how he is.

“I free the souls of people from evil spirits. In order to be able to do that, I have some powers just like running fast.”

He nodded looking you in the eyes, “You should have told me sooner.”

He acted like he wasn’t nervous to meet your colleagues but his sweaty palms said otherwise.

“You don’t need to be nervous Minho.”

“I am not!” He tried to free his hand from yours. You patted his back with your free hand while squeezing his hand tighter, “sure thing.”

“I told you I am-”

“You’re here!” Ms Chu opened the door of the restaurant to greet you both.

“And you’re already arguing...” Hana’s head peeked from Ms Chu’s back.

“Already? What have you told them about us?” Minho looked at you, implying that you informed them about your little fights.

“Oops?” You smiled at him as he sighed. You entered the restaraunt following Ms Chu.

“Minho, right?” Motak removed his apron and shook hands with the younger boy. “Yes, it’s nice to meet you.”

Motak nodded and looked at you, “This is the grumpy pants? He seems nice!”

You once again laughed and Minho shook his head, “Do I bother you that much?”

Before you could answer, So Mun entered with a white cat on his arms. “Look guys, I found her on the street and she looked kinda hungry so-”

Minho run to him, not even introducing himself. “Can I hold her?”

“Sure!” Mun carefully placed the cat in Minho’s arms. “And you are...?”

“Lee Minho,” he answered without even looking away from the cat. “And he has an obsession with cats,” you added and Minho nodded.

Seo Changbin:

You were visiting Changbin at the dorm since he was very busy lately. You entered his room and found him scrolling through his phone, “Hi binnie!”

“Oh, you’re here?” he came running into your arms, “I’m sorry for not seeing you that often but I have been busy.”

“I know,” you stroked his back, “How is the new song going? The one that you are writing with Jisung.”

He pulled away and looked at you with wide eyes, “How do you know about it?!”

“I guessed since you were busy... it would be about a new song.” You scratched the back of your neck. You had read his memories out of curiousity a week ago since he didn’t tell you why he was busy. Not because you thought he was cheating but because you were worried about him. “That doesn’t explain you knowing about Jisung.”

You looked down and tried to make up an excuse. You couldn’t tell him Jisung told you because if he asks him about it he will find out the truth.

“I can read memories...” you didn’t face him. You were scared to see his facial expressions. Disgust? Disappointment-

“That’s cool. You should have told me sooner!” Your head jerked up and there he was, still in front of you, smiling. “You are not mad?”

He shook his head, "You most likely had your reasons so I understand."

Changbin wanted to know all about your powers and your job so you stayed up all night explaining things. However, there were some details that you didn’t know so Changbin suggested to meet the others so he can get the answers to all his questions. You didn’t have a problem with that, he was going to meet them anyway sooner or later.

He woke you up early in the morning, all excited like a little kid. “I can’t wait to meet them!”

You groaned and got up to get ready. He wouldn’t leave you alone until you got up so there was no point in procastinating.

He was skipping happily on the way to the restaurant while you were dragging your feet due to the lack of sleep.

Ms Chu was already outside when you got there, she was probably waiting for her boyfriend- Jangmul. ”Y/N- you must be Changbin!” she gave him a big smile which he returned and they shook hands, “right and you must be Ms Chu. It’s an honour to meet you.”

“I could say the same,” they let go of each other’s hands. “Come in, you have to meet the others too,” she opened the door for the two of you to enter. Changbin, of course, got inside after you two. Ms Chu gave you a teasing look, “what a gentleman you have.”

The others got back from training right at that time. Changbin instantly bowed and they did the same. “We weren’t expecting visitors...” So Mun said awkwardly, waving at Changbin.

“You didn’t tell them we were coming?” You asked Ms Chu, who gave you an apologetic smile, “I was about to but Jangmul called me out so I didn’t have time to.”

“It’s okay, don’t stress over it.” Changbin patted her back. It was not a big deal anyway. “I’m Changbin, Y/N’s boyfriend,” he introduced himself.

“I’m Motak-”

“And I’m hungry,” So Mun intrerrupted and they all laughed. “Then let’s leave the introductions for later, we should cook.” Motak ruffled Mun’s hair.

“Do you want to help?” Hana pointed at you two. You were about to refuse since Changbin always made a mess in the kitchen but he agreed and rushed to find an apron.

“We’ll be fine, if he doesn’t burn the kitchen.” You shook your head in the memory of all his failed attempts.

Hwang Hyunjin:

You had told Hyunjin that you work in Eonni’s noodles since it basically explains why he can’t reach you most of the time. So one day after practice he decided to drop by and surprise you. He wore a bucket hat and a mask in order to hide himself from the public.

Of course you didn’t know it was him when he sat on a table. He observed you as you laughed with the customers. You were the friendly type after all. As you made your way to his table you suddenly stopped, which made Hyunjin worry about you. A sharp pain? A back pain?

He stood up to go to you but he sat back down when you grabbed Hana’s hand, “there’s one nearby.”

“Okay everyone! Eat up and leave!” Hana yelled, running to get her uniform.

“What are they doing?” Hyunjin whispered to himself as everyone came out in their red uniforms.

“They do it all the time. They suddenly leave as if the world is in danger.” A random man answered his question and went back to eating his noodles. Something was wrong here. In fact, it seemed like you were about to encounter something dangerous. You were about to run past him back he grabbed your sleeve, “Where are you going?”

“Hyunjin?! What are you doing here?!” Since he had removed his mask, you were able to recognise him.

“This is not important right now, why are you leaving?” You looked back and forth between him and the car outside. “I promise I will telll you later, I have to go now.”

“You can stay, it’s a level 1. We got it," Ms Chu patted your back and headed to the car. You sighed and wiped some sweat off your forehead, “Follow me.”

You walked in the training room with Hyunjin following you. “I’ll explain and you won’t leave before I finish everything, okay?”

He nodded at you as you two sat down on the bed. He knew there was something big that you were hiding from him. Even though upset, he was willing to listen to you until the end.

“I’m a counter. I capture evil spirits with the other people I work with. I also have some powers like reading memories and super strength.”

Hyunjin was speechless, he didn’t expect you to be involved with something so dangerous. “Thank you for telling me.”

“I am sorry for not telling you sooner,” you held his hand and squeezed it. He smiled at you and held your hand tighter.

“Someone looks like they got their first warning!” Motak said while entering the training room with the others behind him.

“I will soon,” you laughed but in reality you were a little nervous about it. Hyunjin looked lost so you explained it to him, “We get a warning when we break a rule and since I told you about me, I will receive my first one soon.”

Hyunjin felt bad but he decided to apologise later when you two would be alone. “Introducition time!” You pulled him up and brought him in front of the others.

“This is Motak, Ms Chu, Hana and So Mun!” You pointed at each one of them. Hyunjin bowed like a galaxy flip, he wasn’t ready to meet new people today but here he was, “I’m Hyunjin, nice to meet you all!”

“The pleasure is ours,” Ms Chu smiled at him to make him feel more comfortable.

“I heard you dance,” Motak crossed his arms as Hyunjin showed him his eye smile, “Yes I do!”

“I challenge you to a dance battle then.” He lifted one arm in the air while Hyunjin stared at him.

“Ahjussi you’ll break your back-”

Han Jisung:

Jisung ran to the hospital, his legs were hurting but that didn’t matter. He got a text from you that you were badly injured. He tried calling but you never picked up, that made him more anxious.

He arrived at the emergency room, where three other people were. One young girl was pacing around the hallway while the other two were sitting on the chairs. The lady was crying and the man was rubbing her back as he seemed to want to cry too, they could pass as a couple. Could they possibly be here for you? No, he has never seen them and he knows everyone you come in contact with.

“You can heal her anyway, don’t worry that much.” Hana said to Ms Chu. Despite her words, she was worried as well. What if they don’t heal you in time. “You’re right! Let’s do that!” Motak stood up, “we can erase their memories and get her out of here!”

Heal? Erase memories? What-

“Ahjussi, will Y/N be okay?” So Mun ran to them and kneeled in front of Ms Chu, he had some tears running down his cheeks. At the sound of your name, Jisung’s knees went weak. “Excuse me, do you know y/n?”

Everyone turned to face him. “Yeah, she works with us-”

“She’s like family to us,” Hana cut So Mun off. soft baby hana yes. Work? Family? You’ve never mentioned anything to him.

“And you? What are you to her?” Motak raised one eyebrow, supposing that the young boy knew you too.

“I’m Han Jisung, her boyfriend.”

“The one we sent the message to!” Ms Chu said in realization. Now it makes sense why you didn’t pick up.

“What was that about healing and erasing memories?” Jisung brought up what he heard before. All the counters panicked inside and looked at each other.

“Well we...” Ms Chu tried to think of an excuse but nothing came out of her mouth.

“We’re counters!” So Mun said and Hana smacked him. “Why did you tell him idiot!”

Jisung blinked a few times, he didn’t understand the entire term of the word.

Motak sighed before explaining, “We capture evil spirits to free souls of people who have died. We get super powers or whatever you want to call them when we accept the job. Y/N got badly injured while we were fighting one.”

Jisung nodded, trying to proccess everything.

“We weren’t supposed to tell you, feel special.” Hana harshly told him while rolling her eyes at the others. Jisung understood now why you didn’t tell him, he felt a little hurt but he understood.

“Thank you for healing me, Ms Chu.” You thanked her as you swinged your legs. She could have saved a lot of pain and trouble if she healed you before surgery but at least you can walk now.

“You scared us, Hana was so worried.” Motak pointed out, Hana denying his statement, “I wasn’t... that much.”

You laughed at her, you knew how much she cared about you. Speaking of care... “Jisung!”

Jisung entered the room, awkwardly standing close to the door. The others took the hint and decided to leave the room. “Come meet us properly sometime,” Motak gave him a pat on the shoulder and Jisung nodded at him. He immediately hugged you when the counters were completely gone, “I’m so glad you’re fine!”

“I’m sorry, you should have already known...” you both pulled away from the hug. “I know you weren’t supposed to tell me so it’s okay.”

You nodded as you got up to leave, “So what do you think about them?”

“Hana is scary.”

Lee Felix:

You had been dating for a month. He was so sweet and gentle with you so you felt bad keeping secrets from him. “Hey Felix, can I talk to you?” You greeted him as he stepped into the dorm. Even though he was tired, he was williing to listen to you.

“I’m all ears,” he sat next to you, the smile on his face still there.

“Well there’s actually something that I kept from you,” you looked at him, his smile slowly fading. “You can tell me, I won’t be mad.”

“I... I save people- wait no- I save the souls of people from other people that were possessed by evil spirits.”

Felix blinked and blinked and blinked. It had been a few minutes and he hadn’t said anything.

“Isn’t that dangerous?” He finally broke the silence. He was confused for sure but he worried about you first.

“It is... but I have others that help me during those missions,” you smiled, reminding yourself how trustworthy your friends were.

“Well that’s a relief,” he held your hand and intertwined your fingers, “Please be careful.”

“Hurry up, Felix!” You shouted at your boyfriend who was still in the kitchen. You were supposed to meet the counters an hour ago but it didn’t go as planned.

“All set,” Felix held the box of brownies while running to you. You glared at him as he put his shoes on. When he noticed your stare, he gave you an apologetic smile, “I know I should have baked them earlier.”

"It’s okay,” you patted his head. He spent all day baking just for your teammates, he really is the sweetest soul. “I hope they don’t fall in love with you and your brownies because I just fell harder.”

Felix was blushing and smiling like an idiot because of this comment until you arrived. “Oh my! Y/N and a pretty boy!” Ms Chu and everyone rushed to the entrance to greet Felix.

“Hello!” Felix gave them an even bigger smile. “These are for you,” he handed the box to Motak, which So Mun snatched out of his hands and immediately opened it. “Brownies!” He exclaimed happily, taking one.

“Don’t rush idiot, that’s rude," Hana smacked him, making him choke on his bite. “Sorry,” he said but took another bite.

“It’s okay,” Felix laughed, “do you like it?”

“Of course I do! They’re better than my grandma’s and believe me, that’s a lot,” he talked with his mouth full. “Think before you make your whole mouth visible to us,” Hana rolled her eyes but she wasn’t that annoyed. The rest of the counters had a taste too, his baking skills leaving them speechless.

“They’re so good! You have to teach me how to make them,” Ms Chu said.

“I’ll happily do that,” Felix looked at you to ask for perimission and you were already looking at him. You were so happy he was getting praise for his baking skills, this man deserved it. “Can I come here with you to teach her?”

“Of course you can, you don’t have to ask me,” you rubbed his back. You were so in love with this man. His kindness made you fall over and over again.

Kim Seungmin:

He noticed something was up with you. You had been dating for years so you knew each other really well. If you have straight hair he’ll notice them being naturally curly so how is that possible? They couldn’t have changed.

But you also got busier, always running out of the house in a hurry. Why would your colleagues need you at 3am? You worked at a restaurant, you’re not open at night.

One of the many nights that you got back home at 4am, he stayed up and waited for you. You entered your shared bedroom and found him on his desk, looking directly at you. “Hi-”

“I’m getting tired of this and I need an explanation,” he took off his glasses and placed them behind him. You froze, you didn’t know what to say. No one said anything, Seungmin was looking at his feet while you were still gripping the doorknob tightly.

“Are you cheating on me?” his voice was soft and low but his hands were actually shaking. He didn’t want the answer to be yes but it didn’t seem like anything else to him. You immediately hugged him, “Min, you know I could never.”

Was he supposed to believe you? He wanted to, he wanted to so much, but anyone who observed the situation would assume that. “If you are not cheating on me... then what are you doing out this late?”

“I-I can’t tell you,” he pushed you away, eyes filled with hurt and disappointment. “Then I’ll consider my assumption to be true,” he got up to leave but you grabbed his hand. You started crying because there was so much pressure on you. You already had one warning, if you tell him you will get another one but if you don’t tell him, you’ll lose him forever. “I’ll explain just give me some time.”

“Trying to find a good excuse? I don’t know why you are even trying anymore. Just go to that other person,” he sighed, “I’ll be on the couch.”

What he said hurt so much. How could he think that you were cheating? I mean he has any right to think that but he didn’t have to be so rude. Seungmin started crying too as soon as he sat on the couch. He didn’t want to be rude to you but he was hurt, he couldn’t control his mouth.

You called Hana and explained everything while sobbing. You were on speaker so the others also heard you and talked to you. They said that they would visit you in the morning, So Mun will explain everything to get a warning instead of you. You were able to sleep thanks to your reliable friends.

You woke up early, eyes red and puffy. You went to the kitchen for breakfast to find Seungmin eating his cereal on the table. He took a glance at you and then went back on his phone. Your appearence pained him, you seemed to be sadder than him about it. You examined his face and he didn’t seem to have cried that much, at least not as much as you.

“Seungmin?”

“What?”

“I didn’t cheat.”

He rolled his eyes and got up. He obviously didn’t want to talk about it. What was he planning to do? Stay on the couch until you both die? Your thoughts were interrupted by the doorbell.

Seungmin went to open the door since he was closer. A young boy with curly black hair greeted him with an awkward smile. The guy you were cheating on him with? That’s probably him, “your girlfriend is in the kitchen.”

He turned his back on So Mun. “You’re such an asshole," So Mun said, his smile long gone. “Excuse me?” Seungmin frowned and turned to him once again.

“I am not her boyfriend!”

“And she’s not cheating on you,” Hana appeared from behind him with the other two. You were behind Seungmin the whole time, observing them. “I’m sorry we were late Y/N," Ms Chu said as they all got in. “It’s okay,” you said as she hugged you.

“Now, Seungmin boy, we have to talk.” Motak crossed his arms. Seungmin was beyond confused, “who are you?”

“We work with Y/N. We are counters that hunt evil spirits to free people’s souls,” So Mun explained, “that’s why she is gone until late at night. Spirits rarely act during the day,” Motak added, with Hana listing some of their powers right afterwards.

Seungmin thought this was a joke so he laughed but he stopped shortly after he saw that all your faces were serious, “For real?”

He turned to you and you nodded. Ms Chu was still hugging you, one of her hands patting your head. Despite the fact that it was hard to believe, it made sense. You all had curly hair, you always hugged him when he couldn’t remember something so you could read his memories to help him remember, how easily you carried him when he was tired.

He took a few steps to your direction, Ms Chu releasing you from her arms. Seungminn hugged you so tightly, kissing you everywhere on your face, “I’m so so so so sorry. I didn’t mean anything I said, I was just hurt.”

“Yeah I figured,” you hugged him back just as tightly.

“Happy ending?” So Mun asked and you both nodded.

You were in your way back from the bathroom. Normally, you wouldn’t visit Jeongin in the JYP building but he wanted you to watch him practice his backflips.

You entered the practice room and saw Jeongin on the floor, groaning and holding his leg. “Jeongin?!” You rushed to his side and kneeled down next to him, “What happened?”

The only answer you got was muffled cries and loud groans.

You really didn’t need an answer, he obviously injured himself while doing a backflip. You quickly grabbed your phone and texted Ms Chu to come to the practice room, “hold on a little more Jeongin, help is on its way.”

“But you didn’t call an umbulance,” he managed to say while you stroked his head. “Oh honey, we don’t need an ambulance.”

He was in too much pain to ask you any further so he waited patiently, fully trusting you.

He woke up on the couch of the practice room, not feeling any pain on his leg anymore. He slowly stood up, rubbing his head.

"It doesn't hurt, does it?" Ms Chu nearly jumped on him, sure that her healing worked.

Jeongin frowned and looked at you, "Y/N, what is happening?"

You sat next to him on the couch and rubbed his back, "I'll explain baby but first I need you to tell me if you feel any pain."

Jeongin slowly shook his head, still confused about the whole situation. He noticed other three people in the room who did a celebratory dance to his reaction.

"Good," you smiled at him and gave Ms Chu a thumbs up, "Well, these are my colleagues and we hunt bad spirits to free the souls of innocent people."

He thought that it was a joke at first but since none of you seemed to laugh or crack a smile he had no choice but to believe you, "Wait, that's actually so cool! I- then what about the healing?"

"Ms Chu here," you pointed at your oldest member, "can heal wounds. That's why I called her, better than worrying the staff and having to heal for months, right baby?"

Jeongin nodded and turned to Ms Chu, "thank you very much." He tried to bow but you immediately pushed him down, "Being fully healed doesn't mean you don't have to be careful."

"Right."

"Ms Chu has healed my leg too!" So Mun took the spotlight talking about their first encounter. Everyone smiled, remembering how he reacted when he was able to walk properly.

"I'm So Mun," he stuck his hand out and Jeongin gladly shook it. "And these are Hana and Motak," he pointed at those two behind him. He waved awkwardly at them, making them chuckle.

"So why don't we go to the-"
