Documentation of Final Project
For my final project, I chose to explore multiple themes of transformation, artificial intelligence in art and demodernization of technology. I wanted to showcase the evolution of technology (and specifically cameras) and thought using technology (particularly artificial intelligence) to achieve this feat would be the most powerful way to deliver this vision. In today’s modern world where technology is ubiquitous, I find it to be important to take a step back and look at the history of things.. For this matter, I coded a transformation tool to smoothly and seamlessly transform between objects (be it cameras, tablets or notebooks) which can be used to morph between images created by artificial intelligence. A snippet of the transformation code is showed below:

The seed images were digitally created by running DALL-E image generation engine multiple iterations, and assembling the components and removing the unwanted artifacts with photoshop. An example of such intermediate steps can be seen below:

After generating the seed images, I had to manually match key points between two consecutive images, to feed to the morphing algorithm to generate in-between frames. Part of this manual process can be seen below:

The individual frames were then assembled into a video and then additional glitching and audio effects were added during production:

Blogpost #1
Starting in middle school, I always had a great interest in photography as a way to create art. That interest led me to learn about the photographic medium from people, blogs, artists and more and I developed skills as a photographer.
I use the photographic medium as a hobby of mine everyday whenever I encounter a moment in time where I feel inspired and I want to capture that inspiration and share it with others, or simply permanently capture it for myself. I sometimes share my photos on Instagram, to share my vision and see what people think of my idea of art.
Photography is a form of artistic expression to me which I can influence and inspire other people with. Be it, amusement, advertisement or anything else, it is about sharing a vision (my vision) with the others.
The image of a moon crescent above a setting sun that I took while I was in Florida. This photo feels extra special to me and I find it intrinsically aesthetic. I find the natural splash of color in the sky as a very rare moment of beauty, completed by the glowing white moon crescent in the middle of the sky.
