Emergency Commissions

hey hi if it's not one thing it's another this month lmao

all the money I had saved up for April's rent and utilities was recently used to take my litter of puppies and their late mama to the vet, so I don't have anything anymore. We need 500 to be able to pay rent and utilities, so I'm opening up emergency commissions.

original commissions post can be found here for important notes and links. Current special offer is my clan icons since they're easiest for me to do given my time constraints with the puppies, which are knocked down to 15$ USD for a pair instead of the usual 25$. The only examples I have right now are TMNT related but I can do any fandom.

I also am willing to open up writing commissions, and tentatively open up NSFW writing commissions. Examples of my writing can be found under my writing tag (desktop link) (mobile link)

Thinking 1$ per 100 words, since I have some 400 word pieces as examples. Still working on exact pricing since I've never done writing commissions before but I'm willing to work a deal out.

I also have characters for sale on my sales Toyhouse acc, pay what you want with a minimum of 3$.

How to safely get rid of the 'promotional' dashboard clown with uBlock Origin (without needing to open tumblr and look at it)

alternate method to getting rid of the clown on dash for those with intense coulrophobia or unreality triggers, via the uBlock Origin browser extension:

1. Download uBlock Origin here (firefox) or here (chrome)

2. Click on the extension icon, then choose the cog icon

3. Copy the following line:

while it isn't reversed or fixed, you can use xkit to the old (oold) dash. keep messaging tumblr to tell about how unhappy you are with this new layout, but this extension "old dash" in xkit can save someone.

okayyy so i have seen a few peeps use fanart as blog pfps. There is nothing wrong with that! What IS the problem, is that they are not giving PROPER credit. "Art is not mine." Its great you're not taking credit for other's work!!! But that doesn't do anything for the artist. Also Pinterest is NOT a reliable source. Cause Pinterest is a known site where MANY steal art and such. So putting "Found it on Pinterest" does not help either. I know some don't know how to reverse image search ( find the proper artist ). So!! Here's what you can do!!

If you have google. You can type in google.image search and it will lead you to something called "GOOGLE IMAGES." The easiest way, if you have the fanart in your files, is to click on the little camera icon in the google image search bar!! [ if you hover over it, it will say: search by image ]. From there, you will get a pop up. You can either up load the fanart OR if you have the link. You also have the option of pasting the link in! [ this is a gift for those that don't have space on their devices. You can just add the image link! ]

From there, Google will pop up a list of sources. [ You will have to find the correct one. But it should not be too hard!! ] Now, please do NOT use the fanart if the artist has it somewhere to NOT use their art for anything. This means you must read the artist's info. Also, if the artist has it posted that this piece of art is a COMMISION. NEVER use it. For a ref. A pfp. A section on your doc / carrd. A commission is something a person paid for, so it's not okay to use it. FOR ANYTHING. Additionally, if the artist comes to you and asks you to remove it. Do not argue or be a jerk. Apologize and remove it.

I am seeing peeps do this and it bothers me a lot. Artists work VERY hard on their pieces. It is IMPORTANT that you read ALL of their rules AND give PROPER credit.

Please, if you don't mind, reblog this! Maybe someone out there was not aware of this cause they are just starting out!!!! Or maybe they did not know how to find the original artist!!

Tumblr reblog chains are in danger.

It seems that the staff is actually going to go forward with their decision to remove reblog chains, where reblogs will basically work like regular comments on other websites.

This doesn't just make the site completely unusable, it removes the soul of the community that has managed to build up here over the years, and that I'm so happy to have recently joined.

It makes impossible the creation of great posts where many people build up a single thing, until it is a gem of expressed human creativity.

There will be no more world heritage posts, no more messing around with your mutuals, no posts worth remembering.

There will be no more Tumblr, and the Tikblr or TumbTube or whatever monstrosity is born from its corpse will soon die, as is probably the best. And then there will never be another place like this on the internet, no place anymore to run to, no more fun, no more community.

I recommend a simple course of action. When these changes get imposed upon us, stop using Tumblr. Get your mutuals' discords, your favourite artists' websites, and leave. If the Tumblr we have once known returns, we well too. If not, better let it die quickly than suffer a long and painful decline.

I beg you to reblog this, for the more people see it, the higher chanses are for this to work.

And add something, so we can show them what Tumblr is really for.
