okay i know im just whining and everything but i don’t like how the sim team are called ‘sim gurus’

i’m just now getting around to watching lilsimsie’s video about her and the other three having built lots for snowy escape, and while that’s cute and great for them... why? why can’t the sims team throughly think things thru? you give us a canonically asian world, the FIRST one ever if i’m not mistaken, and all the lots were built by white people. at least if the sims team themselves built it you could just use the excuse that they were just assembling the pack but no, they deliberately chose 4 white people to build lots in an asian world.................... even if this was exactly what they would’ve given us, it should’ve ultimately came from them. truly a moment that could’ve waited. whatever.

nah i can’t let this go lmao. it’s obviously a marketing tactic but the pack is exciting enough that it didn’t need them to Build the world. the pack sells itself, and like i don’t wanna shit on anyone’s moment but??????????????? that’s just so crazy and a bit infuriating cause this opportunity could’ve gone to underrepresented people who most likely have real life experience in a world like this and yet money always wins. crumbs is all we ever get. it’s bad enough that y’all definitely don’t keep minorities on your team/your employees are almost certainly majority white, but to pass off the opportunity to create one of the most important aspects of life, the space people occupy, which in a lot of cultures means something down to details, to people who don’t reflect that is extremely ignorant at best. asian creators deserved better and i would hope the community would pause in their excitement long enough to recognize another HUGE lost opportunity for poc but i don’t count on that. it’s really tiring, really really really exhausting.

Meet the Atkins Twins- Ambrose & Cecelia 

The Atkins twins are as cute as can be! Born at the dawn of the 1890s, they are the apples of their parents’ eyes. Ambrose is an independent kid with a knack for running around and talking to others while Cecelia, a sweetheart and charmer with a bit of a shy side, seems to love to play pretend and has quite the brain in her.  Let’s see how they adjust as they move towards childhood and with another sibling potentially on the way!

Meet Temperance Atkins!

Born in 1868, she, like Moses, dreams of being a super-parent! She’s creative, a bookworm, and athletic. It’s not uncommon to find Temperance jogging or fishing around during the evenings and mornings and she can lift logs with the best of them. She and her husband Moses work hard to teach their children the wonder of reading, both of them being total bookworms. A sort of jack-of-all-trades, she is trying to find her passion besides childrearing and so far seems to be enjoying violin, like her husband, gardening, and fishing! 

Temperance is the original matriarch of the Atkins family in this decades challenge. Daughter of Mary and Isaiah Atkins, she has one sister and a three brothers. She married Moses and currently has two twin children with a third possibly on the way...

Moses is the original patriarch of the Atkins family in this decades challenge. Son of Isaac and Pearlie Atkins, he has two sisters and a brother. He married Temperance and currently has two twin children with a third possibly on the way...
