Legacy Family
Meet Adalyn West! She just moved to Henford-on-Bagley to be the new Teaching Assistant, and hopefully the actual teacher when the current one retires. She is a geek, bookworm, and a perfectionist. Maybe one day she can also get to her dream of writing a book!Â
Right now she can only afford a one room, tiny house but that is all she needs, and besides she can always build on later. What is important now is getting settled and learning about her new town and job.Â
The night before her first day of work she walked to the bar to meet a few locals. Having no money she only ordered a free water, but that led to her meeting the couple who own the bar. She also met the Watsons family and a nice elderly couple. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. They even went so far as to give her a delicious fruitcake on the house!
After chatting with everyone for a while she walked back home only to be surprised by a rabbit in her yard. She held back a squeal of glee and approached it slowly trying to appear unthreatening. To her shock it was very friendly and even let her pet it. She named it Hopper and hoped it would stick around. A rabbit friend would be amazing!Â
Adalyn was feeling very happy about her move. Maybe things will really work out here. New town, new house, new job, new faces, and a new life! What will happen next?

The Zest Household
Johnny Zest is the estranged son of the Landgraab’s. After he graduated high school, he got halfway through college and dropped out. He told them that he wants no part of the family business, and he also told them he is gay. They did not take this news very well. Nancy was furious and kicked him out of the house saying she wanted nothing to do with him anymore. Now they pretend he doesn’t exist.
While it was depressing that they wouldn’t accept him for who he is, he didn’t mind moving out. He had never felt like he fit in with them anyway. They offered no help or money so Johnny got a cheap trailer to live in temporarily.
He changed his last name and is working toward his dream of becoming a comedian.
He does feel pretty lonely sometimes, but he is trying to stay positive. Things will be better later when he can finally make something of himself.
One day he hears a dog barking outside. It’s raining so it can’t be someone walking their dog. He goes outside to take a look.
He approaches the dog cautiously and offers his hand. It sniffs and then looks up at him while wagging it’s tail. His heart melts. No collar and alone outside in the rain. It must be a stray. He puts some food outside for it.
He calls to the dog trying to offer the food. Cautious at first and then excited, the dog bounds over and starts eating.
After it’s done eating he bends down to pet it.
It’s completely soaked and muddy. He decides to see if he can get it to follow him inside to give it a bath.
He gets it into the bathtub.
The dog seems happy to be inside and clean. He decides to keep it. He names it Tom.
With Tom by his side the same boring things he used to do everyday seem more fun.
They become companions pretty quickly. Tom follows him everywhere.
One day, Tom bolts out of the trailer and runs down the sidewalk. Confused, Johnny chases after him.
Tom runs up to a man and starts wagging his tail and howling. Out of breath, Johnny catches up and apologizes to the man while trying to get Tom to leave him alone.
The man seems a little confused, but not mad. He introduces himself. His name is Gavin.
Before they knew it, an hour had passed and they'd been talking non-stop. Johnny apologized again and they said goodbye, but he continued to think about him. It had felt pretty natural and easy to talk to him. Maybe they could hang out again.
A few days later Johnny noticed that Tom wasn’t feeling so good.
He took him to the vet.
He was relieved that he was going to be okay, but Tom wasn’t very happy about having to wear the cone on his head.
Gavin stopped by to see how Tom was doing.
They ended up watching a movie together.
The next day was Winterfest. Johnny couldn’t afford much but he tried to decorate a little bit.
Just when Johnny was feeling in a good mood, his younger brother Malcom Landgraab showed up.
He barged in without asking and started looking around.
He thought Johnny’s trailer was hilarious. He made fun of everything and told him he knew he’d be living in filth like this.
Suddenly, Tom came running over and started growling at Malcom.
Johnny told Tom to calm down.
Malcom just laughed and said he was done here anyway. He walked out still laughing.
Johnny felt sad and upset after he left. Now he had negative emotions floating around in his head.
He sent Gavin a text asking him how his Winterfest was going.
To his surprise Gavin called him and asked if he was doing anything right now, and if he would want to go have dinner with him. Johnny enthusiastically said yes he would like that.
He didn’t have a lot of extra money to spend, but he didn’t want to appear stingy, so he made sure to pay for their burgers. It was the first time he had eaten out in a while.
Gavin insisted on paying for dessert. They had some delicious cheesecake!
Afterwards, they went back to Johnny’s house to watch a zombie movie.
Johnny got a little brave and made a move.
They were having a great evening so he pulled out the mistletoe and got even braver.
The next day Johnny was in a very good mood. He even wrote some songs. Tom seemed to enjoy them!
On New Year’s Eve Johnny invited Gavin over. He showed him one of his comedy routines.
They ate pizza.
And counted down to midnight.
Life for Johnny was looking up.

The Landgraab Household
Looks, fame, and money, Geoffrey and Nancy have it all. In this world you can’t get by without knowing about the Landgraab’s. Live somewhere? They probably own it. Going to college? They paid for the buildings. Late paying your bills? They’ll happily shut off your power. I think you get the picture. They definitely live up to their last name.
A few things to know about Nancy. She loves fancy food, wine, and anything expensive.
She enjoys relaxing in the pool.
She owns and runs a high end fashion store called Landgraab Boutique.
And she loves pictures of herself.
A lot.
Malcom is their teenage son who is entitled, snobby, and mean. No surprise.Â
The Landgraab’s also have a second older son, but they don’t talk about him. Shh!
Though Nancy has everything she could possibly want, she still wants more and is bored often. This has led to a secret she has been keeping from Geoffrey.
She has been cheating on him with Gerald their butler. If found out this could become a major scandal and lower her reputation, but she is taking the risk because she wants some excitement. She has become too complacent with her life, and Geoffrey doesn’t interest her the same way he used to.
When Malcom’s birthday rolled around she threw a big party. Gerald made the food and cake.
He also served the drinks.Â
He’s a one man party planning machine!
After everyone had cake, Geoffrey pulled Malcom aside to congratulate him and ask him about his future plans.
He was glad to hear that Malcom wanted to go to college and then continue the family legacy.
Now that he was of age, Malcom was happy to head to the bar to drink.
When it was getting late and the guests were starting to disperse, Geoffrey kissed Nancy good night. He had an early morning and needed his rest.
As Gerald finished cleaning up, Malcom headed to bed, and the guests left, Nancy invited Gerald into the hot tub.
The next day, as she lounged in the pool, Geoffrey came out to read by her saying he felt like they hadn’t had a chance to spend much time together lately. She felt guilty.
Malcom spent the day filling out his college applications, aided by a sizable donation to the college, of course. Nancy headed to the boutique to train a new girl she hired to run the cash register. She is very particular about her employees and how they do things.
With Nancy and Malcom busy all day Geoffrey decided to work on a project of his own.
You see, Geoffrey also has a secret.
A pretty big one.

The Kim-Lewis Household
Dennis Kim is the father of Alice. Vivian Lewis is the mother of Eric. Alice and Eric got married and had Olivia. Alice took Eric’s last name when they married which upset her father. So when they had Olivia she gave her the last name Kim-Lewis. They all live together which can be a little awkward considering their parents didn’t approve of their marriage.
Alice is an artist and loves painting.
She also takes time everyday to meditate before work. Vivian thinks she is silly for it. She doesn’t see the point of meditation.
Eric runs on the treadmill everyday to keep in shape because he spends a lot of time on the computer for work.
Olivia loves her grandparents and enjoys spending time with them.
She met Kyle at school and invited him over for a snowball fight. They’ve been getting along pretty well.
Alice has been feeling nauseous. She had to run to the toilet to throw up in the morning. Could she be pregnant? They haven’t been trying or even talked about having another kid. She decided to take a pregnancy test.
It came back positive.
Eric did not take the news well.
Even though they hadn’t talked about if they wanted another kid she didn’t think he would be this upset about it. It really hit her hard.
The tension between them grew and they both avoided each other and dove into their work.
While they grew apart another relationship was thriving.
It seems Vivian and Dennis were getting closer.
Alice told Olivia she was going to have a new sibling.
At first Olivia seemed okay with it, but as time went on she decided she didn’t want to have to share with somebody else. She liked being an only child. She vented in her diary about how life wasn’t fair.
With both her husband and daughter upset at her about the pregnancy, Alice was feeling really down. She intercepted Eric when he got home from work, telling him they can’t just ignore this, they have to talk about it.
They had the biggest fight they had ever had.
It ended with Alice walking away from him heartbroken, wondering if this is even the same man she married.
She had to get away. She decided to go over to her co-worker’s house. She just needed a little time to herself.
After venting to her friend, taking a nice bubble bath, and eating dinner with her. She asked if she could use her easel to paint. She was feeling some inspiration from her sadness.
It started to lightly rain and Alice said goodbye to her friend and decided to walk home. She had a lot of thinking to do.

The BFF Household
Roommates since college, Travis, Summer, and Liberty know how to co-exist. Except lately things have been a little different. It seems both Summer and Liberty have developed a crush on Travis. That’s bound to make things a little awkward, and what makes it worse is Travis’s oblivious attitude about it.
Summer has decided to be proactive. There is nothing wrong with visiting Travis in his room and showing off her abs. She worked hard for them!
Later that night a thunderstorm started and Liberty was feeling a little scared. She took the opportunity to get a little comfort from Travis.
The next morning Travis and Liberty enjoyed a nice breakfast together. Summer was angry that she had slept in and missed it, leaving them alone together.
Summer got promoted at work and was feeling way better by the time she got home. Hard work pays off!
She suggested they all go out bowling to celebrate.
They aren’t the best bowlers but they had a fun time anyway.
Summer had made a new friend at work and invited her over. She is a little bit of a prankster and thought it would be funny to prank their toilet. Liberty did not find it funny.
She got into an argument with Summer about it.
A few days later it was Harvestfest and Summer made a big breakfast for everyone. She prides herself on her cooking skills and made sure to watch Travis eating to see his reaction to her food.
Liberty contributed by baking some sugar cookies. Summer got a call from Zoe who invited her over to eat dinner with her and her roommates. When she got there she realized that Zoe meant for her to make the dinner! Zoe apologized saying she is just terrible at cooking and would appreciate Summer making it.
Summer decided to start doing yoga. She loves being active and wants to make sure to maintain her figure she has worked hard for.
Travis seems...interested.
Liberty not so much.
Who is Travis interested in and will Liberty and Summer get along, or will this crush tear them apart?Â

The Pancakes Household
Opposites in every way, Bob and Eliza are struggling in their marriage. Bob leaves dirty dishes and puddles everywhere that annoy Eliza who is a perfectionist. She is always picking up after him and no amount of arguing about it changes his behavior. Eliza wants a big social group and loves to brag about money and her possessions, while Bob is a loner and just wants to stay at home and work on his cooking skill. His dream is to open his own restaurant and Eliza wants to climb the social ladder.
For companionship, and just to annoy Bob, Eliza adopted a cat. She spoils it and lets her do whatever she wants, even encouraging her bad behavior. This frustrates Bob who is always lecturing the cat to stay off the furniture.
In retaliation Bob adopted his own pet. A big dog who loves staying at home on the couch with him, unlike his wife. Eliza did not take this development well. They are now fighting constantly and sleeping in separate rooms.
At work Eliza met Penny and they became fast friends.
She calls her up to vent about her frustrations with Bob, and Penny is always willing to lend an ear and gasp at just the right moments to make Eliza feel better.
Penny lives in the city and Eliza came over to visit. The Romance Festival started outside and they decided to check it out. They drank some lovely sakura tea and attempted to eat ramen with chopsticks, laughing when they fumbled. Suddenly out of the corner of her eye Eliza spotted none other than Judith Ward! She jumped up excited and positioned herself close to her to take a picture. This could be great for her career!
As Judith started to turn toward her Eliza quickly put her phone away and escaped. She bumped into the Love Guru who was offering relationship advice. Eliza decided to ask her about her relationship with Bob. The news was not good, but she wasn’t surprised.
Meanwhile, Bob was at home making friends with the neighbor Eric. He seemed like a really nice guy and they were getting along great.
When Eliza got home and Bob tried to ask about her day, she was in a terrible mood complaining about the state of the house and what he hadn’t done while she was gone. The arguing started up again and Eric quietly excused himself and left because he was feeling uncomfortable.
What had happened to the love they used to share and could they ever get it back?
