Timmy’s parents were 100% sure that Timmy was going to be a girl before he was born, as seen in the episode Secret Origin of Denzel Crocker.

Cosmo seems to be the only other one in the know about this, and has baby pictures of Timmy in a dress on hand

Then, in the episode The Boy Who Would Be Queen…

When Wanda does, inevitably, transform Timmy into a girl to teach him a lesson…

Cosmo immediately panics.

AND in the episode “It’s a Wishful LIfe” when Timmy wishes he never existed…

The Turners have a daughter instead.

In conclusion:

Timmy Turner is trans and used the power of one of his fairy godparents to wish that everyone in his life completely forget that he was born and raised female for a portion of his life, including his parents and his other fairy godparent.

What makes a Sin? Do they need to have a certain power level or resonance with a particular ring and Hell’s power just chooses them? Does becoming a Sin have any effect physically and/or mentally?

The way Sins are chosen is an intentional mystery in my verse, Hell is an alien realm with an alien mind even to those living within it

Demons were just crawling directly out of hell like maggots out a corpse in the beginning, some died, some bred and started species and whole ecosystems and shit, Evolution sped run, like if every period of life was happening at the same time - Society was getting it's start at the same time fish were learning to walk on land. The sins were all from of this first wave.

The Sins started out as regular demon warlords fighting for control of the newly created Hell, they eventually emerged as the most powerful at which point they'd have an the inner realization that they are now A Deadly Sin, even without really understanding what that means

Now, they do not know if this is something they become, or discover about themselves, their power could be why they were crowned, or they only have such power because they were born a Sin

It doesn't feel like a transformation, if it is one they aren't aware of it until after its happened. The word 'Envy' or 'Wrath' pops up in their head and it just feels right

They also aren't sure if they take their sin from the ring or if the ring takes from their most prominent trait, (is Mammon greedy because he's king of the greed ring, or is it the Greed Ring because Mammon is greedy)

They're extensions of their Ring, have a similar sense for theirs as Lilith has for hell as a whole. They can feel shift and can communicate with it to a limited degree.

This comes with pretty complete immortality, which is also why they were so quick to seek each other out, find someone who Gets It

You would think Lucifer's appearance would help answer something but he just made everything worse by quietly assuming the Pride sin in a few months and everyone only realizing after the fact

Did it happen when he first arrived(was 'given' to hell)? Well the others didn't recognize him as one then, which Beph explicitly does later, maybe when Lucifer accepted Hell in, but he forged his connection directly with the first ring later, after he had already had the realization that he was Pride - and it had been feeding off his power beforehand, he was just letting it feed him back

Maybe it's planted, grows inside them over time, until it kills them or they survive it and the line where they end and hell begins is too blurred to matter. At least you get cool cosmic powers out of it.

For the last goddamn time...

"Kill your darlings" means "if something is holding you back, get rid of it, even if it sounds pretty."

That's it! That's all it means! It means if you're stuck and stalled out on your story and you could fix the whole block by removing something but you're avoiding removing that thing because it's good, you remove that thing. That's the darling.

It does NOT mean

That you have to get rid of your self-indulgent writing

That you should delete something just because you like it (?wtf?)

That you need to kill off characters (??? what)

That you have to pare your story down to the absolute bare bones

That you have to delete anything whatsoever if you don't want to

The POINT is that you STOP FEELING GUILTY for throwing out good writing that isn't SERVING THE STORY.

The POINT is that you don't get so HUNG UP on the details that you lose sight of the BIG PICTURE.

I think ultimately the reason the persona protagonists draw me in so much is bc fundamentally, they share one trait and that is how kind they are. Like whether you read them as snarky or rude or not, they are ultimately kind.

They go out of their way for others, they help even when that might cause them problems.

Minato/Makoto and Hamuko/Minako/Kotone are both willing to give up their lives so the people they care for- and everyone else- can keep living. They push themselves to make it to graduation day to keep a promise they made. And there's more in their SLs

Yu arrives in Inaba and immediately is willing to go into unknown circumstances and active danger to save people he's just met. He sees ppl who are lonely and goes "not now you're not" and befriends them. He tries to see everyone's perspective to understand and help. Even when they've done horrible things

Rens literal introduction is him seeing someone in a horrible situation and stepping in and getting himself a criminal record for it. And instead of deciding not to help people anymore he puts his life at risk- both in the fighting shadows sense but also the ruining his probation sense- to step in and help more people anyway. Over And over again.

And yes, being the protagonist of a persona game necessitates a lot of this for the plot and especially the social aspects to make sense, but that doesn't change the fact that it makes their characterization this: they are fundamentally kind people.
