This is “The Big Swallow” from 1901, directed by James Williamson and stars Sam Dalton. This film is about an aristocratic man who refuses to have his picture taken and to make sure of this he swallows the camera along with the Camera-man.

This film built apon many techniques as well as created it’s own to make an innovative film that helped make motion pictures a viable medium. Techniques like Cross cutting, the first panning shot in film history, and Rear Screen Projection. It’s safe to say that this film is an important part of film history.
