Peter was down with one of the scouting teams putting in some specific requests. Ā Plus doing a last check on some of the equipment they were testing for him. Ā Some things needed to be done in the field a place he didnāt feel entirely comfortable going quite yet. Ā Only a select few he could relax around and trust to watch his back. Ā Also avoiding the nagging that might get involved if he tried to go out alone. Ā So he set up the scout groups and they helped him find things he needed. Ā This time he had some specific requests, for a very sweet idea.
He felt some sort of itch across his senses. Ā Not a warning, or anything alarming really. Ā More like a type of pull that he took a moment to place. Ā When he did his eyes flew open wide. Ā Cindy must be here! Ā Its the only thing that ever felt exactly like this. Ā Peter whipped his head around trying to zone in on the direction he got the strongest feel from. Ā Homing in on it, a small smile cropped up on his face when he heard her voice.
āHey Cindy, good to see you.ā Ā He opened up his arms in the offer for a hug. Ā No matter what theyād been through Peter would call her a friend. Ā Ā
They had a thing, which is for better words, all Cindy could call it. It had been weird, awesome, but weird and incredibly short. Still though, when she had finally gotten over her initialĀ hate the world nonsense, he had been there to help her. Explain to her what it was that she was, what she could do with it. Heād even been there when she tried the hero thing, swooped in to help occasionally, Cindy would call him a friend. A best friend at that. Seeing him, alive and well, she broke out into a dumb smile and moved over into his arms.
āGoose, I swore you were zombie dinner!ā She exclaims with a laugh as she embraces him tight, pheromones were everywhere, but Cindy would be damned if it kept her from hugging her nerdy spider club friend. Letting him go and backing away, Cindy surveyed him. Wanting to make sure he was okay, no missing limbs, no visible scars. He looked okay. He looked better than okay. (Wrap it up, Moon. Donāt be a creep. Heās gonna think youāre checking him out.) She sighs with a smile and leans back.
āIām glad youāre okay. How long have you been here?ā She asks him curiously as she composed herself.

Bobbi heard the commotion outside the infirmary window, and drew closer to investigate. Ā A familiar voice had said her name, she knew that much for sure. Ā As soon as she actually saw what was going on, she leaned out of the window, āCindy!ā Ā She left the window to run out through the side door, down the steps, and she ran to the site where Cindy had been stopped by the guards. Ā She immediately threw her arms around the slightly smaller woman, āI knew you were okay.ā
She found she was much more of a hugger now that the world had ended.
She pulled away and looked around, seeing they had an audience to contend with. Ā āDr Morse, she hasnāt been screened yet,ā explained one of them. Ā
āI can do the screening in the infirmary, clear off you lot.ā
They looked nervous at first, as though diverging from the book was the most frightening thing they might face today, and then finally one of them shrugged and headed back towards the gatehouse. Ā Bobbi pulled Cindy into another hug.
The brunette was about ready to surrender over, no use in fighting people who were just trying to keep everyone safe. Thereās a defeated sigh that gets sucked right up when she hears her, Cindy turns around rapidly and watches as Bobbi appears. She had never been so happy to breakĀ āprotocolā as she was when the blonde hugged her fiercely. Bobbi Morse, a hugger? Who knew? Cindy certainly wasnāt complaining as she basked in her familiar scent, she had missed her a lot. Sure, their relationship had originally been strictly S.H.I.E.L.D work, but quickly Cindy had formed a bond bigger than that. Sheās never had a super mentor and hell she looked up to her a lot.
Bobbi lets go and Cindy watches as she dismisses the crowd of guards with one sentence, she was so cool. (Moon, youāre acting like a school girl!) She bites her inner cheek to keep from pinching herself, get it together, she thought. Once all the guards bugger off, Bobbi pulls her into another hug and this time Cindy hugs back tightly. She had wondered a lot when she was alone, wondered about Bobbi, about her other friends. Her family. She found a strange comfort in being able to reunite with the few people she knew, so many years in a bunker didnāt exactly teach you how to give or receive comfort.
āI heard your call.ā Cindy begins with a soft tone, she doesnāt want to tell her that she had gone back on what Bobbi had wanted her to avoid. Being alone. Locking herself away. She mightāve gone the rest of this apocalypse alone had she not heard Bobbiās call over the radio.Ā
āIt took me a little bit to get here, Iām....Iām glad youāre okay Bobbi.ā Cindy offered with a small smile.

Thereās a little bit of commotion here and there, Cindy realizes as she sits calmly on the small bed in the infirmary. It looked as though a small group of the people here were preparing to go out on some kind of mission, at least thatās what she could pick up from the first aid packing and the heated whispers. She didnāt mind the whispers, she had a tad bit of advanced hearing on her side. Still, she watched them move and sway and grab and pull and so many questions harbored in her head. (Quiet, donāt be nosey. They donāt trust you yet, Moon). Her thoughts ramble around in her ever twisting and turning mind, sheās about to go into a mental frenzy when she feels it.
She feels him before she sees him. Itās like a rush that runs over her body, sparking every nerve ending across her skin, it's both electrifying and so incredibly annoying. Every sense ripples and becomes on this sensitive alert, she feels like a damn alphabet magnet and heās the dumb fridge. Itās like she doesnāt even have control over her own body when heās near and sheās stuck between whether or not she likes it or hates it. At the moment though, she could say she freaking loves it. She hasnāt seen him in so long, he was of course on her very short list of friends. Friends she had thought about through out all her time alone and dealing with the after math of the outbreak. Her silk sense is on a frigid and exposed wire, but she can deal with that, it means heās alive and that heās here.
āPeter? Is that you?ā She asks as she gets up from the bed, moving towards the sense, seeking him out among the commotion.Ā

There had been only an hour or two between her arrival and where she found herself now. Initially, when she entered, Cindy had been met with a dozen of doubtful eyes and one warm embrace by Jess. She had found herself relieved to be in the presence of someone she actually knew, it had almost been a little too overwhelming. At one point, Jess took her to this kinda interview room and all these questions and all these assessments. Basically trying to map where the hell Cindyās been for the last few months and why she hadnāt shown up despite the fact that Bobb had been calling her for months.
After a while, she couldnāt take it anymore. She needed to find the blonde, she needed to let her know that she was here. That she was okay. Jess allowed her a small break to grab something to drink and rest and really Cindy practically jetted off at the first sign of freedom. It was not going to go over well, of course, Cindy hadnāt done the medical which is pretty important in a situation like this, but she figured it was a risk she was willing to take.
Cindy neared the place a woman from outside had told her she could find Bobbi Morse. Trailing behind her was a string of guards and all she could do was mental yikes as she almost slammed into one of them.
āListen. Iām sorry okay. I just. I need to find Bobbi Morse okay. Please. I just need to see her.ā She pleaded with the armed man as she tried her best doe eyes. (Like thatās going to work Moon, you suck at it and you know it!)

Winged Victory of Samothrace
Winged Victory of Samothrace: Do you strive to meet your goals and never give up on them?
I mean. I donāt really know what my goals are at this point. Before everything, I just wanted to find my family and maybe do the whole hero thing. I guess for a while there I was doing a pretty good job? I mean Iām not the greatest, did get my ass kicked more than Iād like to admit, but I didnāt give up. Maybe Iām just in the middle somewhere, half in and half out, never really knowing how far the finish line is, or if there really is one?

Jessica had overheard someone talking about an approach. Single female. The description sounded just like- Cindyā¦Ā
Jess left Gerry with one of the people here she trusted and ran down to the gate. There were two people she was particularly eager to see arrive at Havenā¦ Carol. And Cindy. Carol was probably in space. Hopefully safe. But Cindyā¦ There hadnāt been a day when Jess hadnāt worried about where she was.Ā
āOpen the gateā Jess demanded as she made her way to the entrance, waiting for it to open before pulling Cindy into her arms.Ā āAbout time you got hereā she told her, though there was a smile on her face as she held the younger woman.
Cindy swallows, the largest lump in her throat trying but failing to go down. What if Bobbi isnāt here anymore? What if she left? God, what if something happened to her? What if she forgot about her? All these troubling thoughts run around her mind and soon enough the shaking has moved all the way down to her boots and her eyes are starting to sting. The commotion behind the door, of course, isnāt helping, it doesnāt sound like a heated debate, but it doesnāt sound like a parade either. She wouldnāt blame them if a strict tone came over the entry box that said,Ā āGo Away, youāre not welcomed here.ā She shudders at the thought and braces for the worst.
Then, the doors actually start to open and she finds herself half in disbelief and half terrified. Her silk senses pick up several people around her, her eyes moving frantically around like a scared child. It isnāt until she sees that familiar face that her entire face curves into a smile of pure relief. She sees Jess and drops her stuff, allowing the other woman to wrap her up in her arms. Her own grip finding itself around her and pulling tight, god she had missed her.
āJess! I canāt believe itās you, I-....ā She breathes into her hair, feeling so relieved to see someone she knows, it had been so long.

It had been a long journey for Cindy, sheās been moving from place to place. Alone and finding comfort in it. Sometimes the girl would trick herself into think that she was still in her bunker, locked away and lonely. She found herself having the same dreams as she had before, dreams of her family on weekend trips to her grandmaās or her brotherās graduation. Mundane things that she missed terribly, it of course shattered when she would wake up. Unlike her time in the bunker, Cindy knew what was out there and knew there was an even smaller chance of finding her family than there ever was before.
The coordinates were written in the small notebook she kept in her pack. It wasnāt much, her old hockey backpack. Her high schoolās logo still on it, fading of course, but it remained. Eventually, the girl finds the place and if she hadnāt been so tired and malnourished, she mightāve ran there. Eventually her feet reach the entrance and she realizes that this is the moment. She could come in, she could find Bobbi, might even find someone else she knew. Join whatever this was and try to make a life. Or she could leave. Be tempted into her own solace, that loneliness that she knew so damn well.Ā
āMy name is Cindy Moon. I....I was called here.ā She breathes shallowly into the entry radio, she feels her senses on high alert and doesnāt even realize how her hands are shaking at her sides. She had no idea what sheās getting herself into.Ā āIām.... Iām alone. Iām not infected.ā Cindy finishes as she looks around, she can hear murmurs and movements, her silk senses on high alert, but also picking up things all around her. Ā As she waited for someone to open, anyone to answer, she started to feel that maybe she didnāt wanna be alone.
