Crouching at the base of an oak tree, and fussing over something Gale can’t see, is Curt. He doesn’t think he wants to see whatever it is. If there’s a dead, sharp-smiled Deputy limp against that tree, he doesn’t want to know. What he wants is to go back to bed, back to three days ago when that same sharp smile had nipped at his throat and laughed, joyous and spent. He wants to fall asleep with bare skin against his own, press his cold feet to the back of walm calves and wake with a stupid drawing on his pillow. Gale thinks of the framed picture, waiting for Bucky to come home, and he has to swallow down the bile that climbs his throat. Curt moves, walks around to the other side of the tree, and crouches there instead.

John blinks, “What?” 

Gale’s lips curve at the corners slightly in that strange subdued smile of his. Those blue eyes lock on John’s, staring right into the back of his skull.

“I have my clients call me Sir, not Master.” 

“Sir…” John says slowly. Something sparks in Gale’s eyes. Sparks in John’s gut. “So then what the hell do your friend call you?”

randomly remembering the time in 2012 when everyone kept saying the world was going to end at midday that day and like, i didnt really believe it, but i didnt want to be a complete fool if i was wrong, so i excused myself from class to go sit the field and perfectly timed the beat drop to a skrillex song just in case something happened. and im just. retroactively amused by the idea of ushering in the appocalypse with skrillex. most 2012 thing you could possibly do.

i just worked out for half an hour so my brain is MOOSH but I can talk a lot about homestuck. as you are discovering. john egan is not the first john I have loved and Gale is not the first deadpan blonde repressed gay I have adored

22. strangest thing that has happened to you this week?

uhhhhhhhh. Went out for lunch with my gym buddy ben which is the first time we've ever hung out outside of working out in 3 years. It was chill we get along great and the food was delicious. but it was weird lmao
