His responding  growl  is low, a pang of  frustration  that rumbles in his chest and bubbles up in the back of his throat. It's a quiet, short-lived little thing that he cuts off as quickly as it started. After all, he can't truly fault the man for a recklessness that he, too, carries. At least not heavily.

Instead, he drops into position on his stomach, scoping in and scanning the area. It doesn't take long to find him, of course, never does  ⸻  and  thank fuck,  he doesn't seem to be taking too much damage, but steaming bloody  Jesus,  he nearly gave Soap a heart attack. 𝙰 𝙱𝚁𝙸𝙴𝙵, 𝚃𝙴𝙽𝚂𝙴 𝙼𝙾𝙼𝙴𝙽𝚃  ⸻   so short that Soap almost hopes it goes unnoticed, as unlikely as that may be  ⸻  passes them by, Soap's eyes   locked unwavering  on the space between Ghost's thighs.
