College Admission Essay Reflection !
1) The prompts for the essay is connected to the actual purpose of writing because it gives off a form such as a set up of what we wanna be doing such as the bigger meaning/purpose. Like the past prompts of others college writings and formats have helped me developed a form of writing such as being able to put a bigger picture out there and also being able to sound like a professional writer, not a first grader. The other prompts also gives us a sneak peek of what we want to be putting out their such as the Do's & the Don'ts.2) Facing the task of writing a college admissions essay was difficult due to having to decide on a topic that fits. Also trying to explain it in-depth without giving to much or very little information. It is hard getting your thoughts gathered and being able to explain them the right way. Writing the college admissions essay overwhelmed me because it's pressuring and kind of a peek at what I'm gonna be doing in colleges, therefore, I have to be prepared and keeping my mind focused in order to not feel that way when having another assignment that's related. The thing I would find at stake would be the topic not being good enough and wasting the person in charge of reading the college admissions time, such as them not really feeling my essay, theirs a lot that can go wrong and everything put at stake.3) The larger context surrounding the composing of genre would be social such as in my essay including my interactions with people,, being able to stand out not so much about being in the dark putting myself more out there. Wanting whoever reading my essay to be more aware of me and well known.4) The audience of this genre would be whoever reading my college admissions essay such as my English teacher of course and the person who reads the college admissions essay such as who's in charge of acceptance of the people. This is important to consider because you want the person that's reading your essay to be interested and not get bored so easily to just quickly not accept you. It's complicated considering the person who's reading your essay they are reading 1,000 of others so its like the expression,", may the best one win".5) The entrance essay plays of what influenced you such as what made you develop the historical context you did. It gives the person reading your essay a peek of your background such as the introduction of yourself and showing why you may belong in that certain college or field. It makes the person want to see what you enhance in or what you have to offer as well. Giving an bigger picture and meaning.6) Language and identity plays the part of letting people know what kind of person you are like what you are willing to offer to that particular college in mind. The type of person you want to be or what change you want to give the world such as what makes you YOU and stick out from everyone else. 7) The rules of the game would be to stay on topic and keeping track. If these rules are broken and mislead then that would determine your outcome of your college choice and route. It does matter if its intentional because it plays a big part on your outcome within your future. 8) Persona plays the part of the type of person you wanna be or the outcome within the future ,,along with how are you gonna make the community a difference ,,what are you gonna do to excel and benefit others in a way .
