A JOURNEY TO NIRVANA- YOGA
There are various types of exercises we do, but yoga is a form of exercise that connects your mind to the soul while pushing your body beyond its limits and creating balance and beauty out of it.
Everything needs a scientific basis but there a science beyond science which connects to spirituality. The meaning of “yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘yug’ which means “union’ which means union of an individual’s conscious mind with that of the universe’s balancing the mind, body, human and nature.
Yoga practices are helpful to improve physical fitness components and maintain psycho-physiological health. Yogic practices include postures, controlled breathing and meditation which are commonly practiced as mind-body approach.
Along with the fact that yoga aids in mind, body and soul connection it also helps in various health conditions and moves you towards a better way of living. Many social influencers and superstars promote yoga for a healthier lifestyle.
There are many forms of yoga starting from Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Kundalini, Bikram, Iyengar, Yin and Restorative. Each form of yoga provides you a different function and challenges your body to push its limits and open your chakras.
There is so much more to the field of yoga. It is a sea of knowledge in itself but the ultimate truth stands true where as the Bhagavad Gita goes, Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.
