The 2018 Local Consumer Review Survey conducted by Bright Local revealed some interesting data on the importance of reviews by users.
According to that survey:
· 97% of users looked online for local businesses in 2018, with 14% looking for a local business every 6 hours
· 80% of users trust online reviews as much as the personal reference
· 45% of users need at least a 3-star rating before choosing to use a business
· 48% left a local business review when asked, with 60% having been asked for their feedback
· Users read 5 reviews before Believing a business – up from 4 in 2017

You're a genius (of course). But you don't have to be one to know that getting online reviews is important for your business.

 While Yahoo only gets about 4% of the search market share, it’s still worth claiming your business listing so you can manage the information the search engine is publishing about your business. You will need to claim your business listing on Yext to manage your Yahoo Local account. If you’re not sure whether or not your business is listed on Yahoo, simply do a search for it.

Responding to Negative Reviews: If a customer posts a negative review and explains the reasoning behind their negative review, it’s a good idea to respond to it, whether you agree with the critique or not.

Social media is a public platform. Every time someone writes bad things about the product or services, the whole social media audience can see that.
People will judge you based on several things likes:
How quickly did you respond?
What was your reaction?
What was your customer’s reaction?
How did the whole thing end?
 How quickly should you respond?
Seeing a negative review or a comment try to respond to them as soon as possible. Taking an aim to respond within 10 to 15 mints, which can make a good impression, still, if u can’t reply in 10 to 15 mints try to reply within an hour.
According to marketing strategies, 42% of customers wait up to 60 mints and 32% waits up to 25 to 30 mints.
Among those respondents who have ever attempted to contact a brand, product, or company through social media for customer support, 57% expect the same response time at night and on weekends as during normal business hours.
What should be your reaction?
There is one rule to respond to a complaint politely and calmly.
It’s hard not to take it personally when someone leaves a bad comment or a review. It gets even harder when you’ve been doing your best to satisfy your customers and make your business awesome.
