You also made some Japanese style sandwiches such as egg sandwich, fruit sandwich, and spam onigirazu. You also made some sushi specifically California roll and salmon roll. You made half of them spicy. You also made a Japanese style salad and a fruit salad. Lastly for desert you made a small fluffy Japanese cheesecake. For drinks you made some strawberry lemonade and you put a jar of strawberry jam because you want to add it to the bottom of the wine glass for a strawberry Prosecco.

You added food in containers and added it to the picnic basket. You added the bottled up lemonade you made into the basket as well as the jam and the Prosecco. You went to go put the basket in the garage fridge. You grabbed a cute basket your mom had blankets in and added two pillows and a throw blanket as well as the picnic blanket. It kinda look like a baby carrier type of basket. You added some plates into that basket and some wine glasses plus utensils and wrapped them well under the blankets so they wouldn’t break. You set it down for you to grab in the morning and you finally got ready for bed. It only took you two hours to finish all the food. But you were very excited for your first date day with shohei. Finally you can both dedicate a whole day to being on a date.

You walked past your parents farm animals and their flower fields. Their flowers still hadn’t bloomed and the workers who came to help had already left for the day. You went towards a field that was part of your parents property but they hadn’t done anything to it yet. It was just a field with before the woods started. There was some trees and you set the basket down.

“This is were I come have picnics by myself when I come visit my parents” you said.

He helped you set up the blankets and the pillows. You took out the dishes and grabbed the basket with the food.

Part Two

Once you arrived to your parents house after they picked you up from the airport, the sun was already setting. You and your mom went into the house while shohei and your father stayed behind to grab the bags from the trunk. You and your mother immediately went into the kitchen and your father took the bags upstairs and put them in a room for you and Sho to unpack later.

Your mother had mentioned how a week ago you told her you had been craving smoked marlin tacos. Well she’s making them for dinner. You were so happy and extremely hungry at the thought of eating those tacos.

You excused yourself from your mom and went to go check up on Shohei. Shohei was just sitting on the couch staring at the blank tv screen.

“Baby turn on the tv silly. My mom and I are gonna be in the kitchen cooking so if you need anything come and let me know okay? Also my dad put our bags in a room and he’s outside feeding the animals they have.” You said.

You added some pickled jalapeños to a bowl and went and set everything up at the dinner table.

Your mom was almost done with the white sauce that goes along with the tacos. You made some horchata while your mom finished the sauce and the tacos. It only took about 30 minutes to get everything ready as it’s not a dish that requires many steps and the fish is basically already prepared just needs to be heated up.

Your dad came back in the house and went to go wash his hands.

“Sweetheart how many tacos would your boyfriend want? He’s a big boy so I’m guessing he eats a lot?” Your mom asked.

Shohei had sat down and thanked your mom for preparing his plate. He also thanked you for the horchata.

She smiled back at him and you finally sat down to join them.

Shohei nodded and grabbed the sauce and put some on the first taco. He took a bite and everyone was staring at him. He had his eyes closed and was savoring the taste.

You giggled at him and he opened his eyes to see all of you staring at him. He swallowed his food and shyly cleaned his face with a napkin

“What do you think?” You father asked.

You smiled as you looked at him. He really is the love of your life. You can’t imagine a different person being in his spot. Definitely not any of those white boys you dated.

You all finished eating and your father with shohei went into the living room to watch some tv. You and your mother went into the kitchen to wash the dishes together and talk.

“I really like him for you. He seems really good for you. He is kind and oh gosh is he cute” your mom said.

“Mom do you have a crush on my boyfriend?” You said while giggling.

“Don’t tell your father. He get jealous very easily” your mom sad while smiling.

You both finished cleaning the kitchen and your mom went into the living room to say goodnight to shohei as she was getting tired. It was only 11pm but this was around the time your parents went to bed.

Your father also said goodnight and followed your mom into their bedroom on the first floor.

You and shohei watched tv for a bit and cuddled on the couch.

“I’m still craving you because of that kiss you gave me earlier.” Shohei said.

You giggled. “My hungry boy”

You yawned and snuggled into shoheis chest.

“Time for bed?” He asked

You nodded.

You got up from the couch and Shohei picked you up bridal style.

“Let’s go to bed baby” he said.

You went up the stairs and then down a hall towards another set of stairs where your room was up in the attic. It was pretty spacious up there so you chose it as your room. Your parents room was on the first floor. The layout of the first floor was the front door and a little space there to take off your shoes and hang your jackets then the living room to the left and the kitchen and dinner table to the right. There was a hall by the living room that lead to your parents room and a bathroom. The second floor was four rooms facing each other on opposite ends. One of the rooms was a spacious bathroom and one of them was a storage room the others were office space or a guest room. Then there’s a small little short hallway that has a set of stairs going to the attic where your bedroom was.

Shohei took you up the stairs to your room and laid you down on your bed.

“Where’s my luggage?” Shohei asked.

you giggled.

“My dad probably put you in a guest room so we don’t sleepy together. Knowing how protective he is over me that’s definitely what happened” you said.

He started walking towards the stairs.

“No showyyyy stay with me. Just sleep in your undies.” You said.

“Baby I gotta brush my teeth.” He said.

You groaned and got up because you also had to do that. You helped him find his luggage and he took it up to your room while you were in the bathroom.

He finally joined you in bed and he was sleeping in his undies. So we’re you so it was very nice to feel his skin on your skin. Seeing him under the moonlight that entered through skylight in your room. Gosh was he so magical. You really do love every single part of this man. His personality, his smile, his kindness, his body. Oh god his body is so amazing. He’s big and he’s buff. He’s a total himbo and a really nice cuddle bear. You can’t get enough of him.

You lay your head on his chest and fell asleep hearing the way his heart beats for you.

A bit of info before we start: you and shohei have been dating for awhile but because of his busy schedule he hasn’t been able to go on many dates with you let alone dedicate a whole day to you. So during the off season you ask him if he wants to go to Oregon and meet you parents. Youre originally from Los Angeles but your parents had moved to a rural town in Oregon when you got accepted into university and got the opportunity to live on campus.

- this is very detailed and a bit of a slow burn? Not sure if that’s the correct term but it’s very sweet 💗

“Hey showy, I was wondering if you’d like to meet my parents” you say out of the blue.

Shohei freezes and stares at his iPad blankly.

“Showyyyy” you whine.

He looked up at you. “Yes of course my love. I’d love to meet your parents” he said nervously.

He gave you a small smile but you knew he was faking it.

“Baby don’t overthink it so much. They love you already with what I tell them about you so I’m sure they’re gonna love you even more when they meet you” you say.

“Do they know I’m a professional baseball player?” He asked.

“No I didn’t want them to tell everyone they knew so I just told them you play baseball a lot and your name is Shohei. Also that you’re a couple years older than me, very tall, handsome, a total sweetheart, and an amazing boyfriend” you answered.

He still looked very nervous.

“Baby it’s gonna be alright. I was hoping we could fly out next week and stay at their home. You don’t have to worry about paparazzis, I know you worry about me having no privacy. My parents live in a rural town so it’s just like ten thousand or so people who live there and my parents house is a bit far away from the town and closer to the woods. We will have all the privacy we want” you reassured him.

“Okay baby I’ll start preparing things for our trip” he said.

“No need to babe. I was already looking at the tickets and my parents said they would go pick us up at the airport. We would just need to see if ippei could drop us off at LAX if not we can Uber it” you said.

He stared at his iPad blankly again.

“Baby it’s gonna be okay it’s just my parents. Also my childhood pets. Oh my gosh I’m so excited for you to meet my dog penguin and my cats! I have a black cat named luna and a tuxedo cat named Luke!” You gushed.

He stared at you with a smile on his face.

“To see you all happy and smiley, I would do anything” he said.

You blushed.

“I’ll call ippei and let him know. What day will we fly out?” He asked.

“Next Wednesday.” You replied.

“Thank you ippei!” You said as you grabbed your luggage.

He smiled at you then spoke to shohei.

“I’ll let you know when we land.” Shohei said to Ippei.

Ippei nodded and wish you both a safe flight.

You walked into the airport with shohei. Both of you wearing masks and there was some people with cameras taking pics of shohei. You were walking a bit in front of him so nobody really gave you any attention which is what you preferred.

Shohei waved at them and apologized to them for not being able to answer their questions as he was in a rush.

You were up ahead just waiting for him to get past the crowd.

He was walking towards you so you kept walking and it’s something you are used to as he is afraid of people knowing who you are and stalking you. He doesn’t want your school life to get affected by his fame and the invasion of privacy that comes with it.

He caught up with you as you waited for him by the security checkpoint. You both went through security and got some food then went to your gate and waited your flight.

“I’m nervous” he said.

“Oh baby I’ve known that for a week now” you said.

“I’m just worried they won’t like me because my Spanish isn’t the best” he said.

“Oh baby no don’t say that. That doesn’t matter to them. What matters is how amazing you are to me and how much you love me” you said.

You both finally make it to Oregon and you walk ahead of Shohei and see your parents holding a sign with your name on it. You see your mom holding your dog penguin.

“Mami! Papa!” You say excitedly as you hurry towards them.

They hug you and kiss you and tell you how much they missed you. You give penguin some head scratchies and she wags her tail and sticks her tongue out happily.

There’s a crowd of paparazzi close to the escalators that you just came down from. They ran towards the escalators and you see shohei coming down them. He looks at you and you can tell that he’s very nervous.

You tell your parents to walk with you away from the crowd and you look back at shohei as he’s talking to the paparazzi and staring at you. They keep asking him if he’s going to think about being traded or whatever just a bunch of baseball stuff. As well as asking him why he’s in Oregon and if he has some brand deal here

“Mi vida (my life) where is your boyfriend?” Your mother asks.

“Mami he’s the one being surrounded by that crowd. He will follow us shortly. He doesn’t want my privacy to be invaded so in public we sometimes keep a distance.” You replied.

“He’s ashamed to show you to the public?” Your father asks angrily.

“No apá (dad) he just doesn’t want me to get stalked my crazy fans or have paparazzi take pictures of me when I’m at school or at the store” you replied.

“Don’t get mad so easily he’s just protecting our daughter you old man” said your mother.

You giggled at how she talks to your father.

“You’re also old so don’t make it seem like I’m the only crazy old person here” your father replied.

You giggled even more.

Shohei was walking towards you so you told you parents to hurry along and walk forward.

“Oh my gosh mi amor (my love) está muy guapo tu novio (your boyfriend is very handsome).” Your mom said.

You blushed. “Si ma es muy lindo. (Yes mom Hes so beautiful).” You replied.

Shohei was a few steps behind you as you waited to cross the street and go towards the parking structure where your parents were parked. Gladly the paparazzi didn’t follow shohei into the parking structure.

You reached your parents car and shohei was still a bit behind. You left your bags with your parents and went to go hug shohei. He stopped walking when he saw you running towards him. He grabbed you a lifted you up a bit. You wrapped your arms around him.

“I’ve been needing your hugs sho sho” you said.

“I know my love. I’m sorry it’s like this.” He said.

He set you down and gave you a quick kiss on the lips.

You held his hand as you both walked towards your parents.

Your mom walked towards you both and immediately hugged Shohei.

He smiled and shyly hugged her back.

“You’re so tall and handsome mijo (son). I’m glad my beautiful child is with someone as beautiful as them” you mother said

Shohei blushed “thank you. I am so lucky to have them as my partner.”

You all walked towards your dad and he shook Shohei’s hand then did the dude bro hug with him and practically smacked him in the back.

You and your mom laughed at how your dad most likely did that on purpose to scare Shohei.

“Here let me put those bags in the car my son” your dad said.

Shohei handed him the bags but helped him at the same time.

You all got into the car and your parents just started talking about you and your childhood during the ride to their home. Telling Shohei all the embarrassing things you did as a kid and telling him all the white guys you had crushes on. Telling him how your room was covered in boy band posters and you had cardboard cut outs and one time your mom caught you kissing a poster of Justin Bieber. That part made Shohei laugh hard. It was a very nice to see how your parents and the love of your life were laughing together and having a good time with your embarrassing moments of childhood and your teen years.

- there will be more parts to this. Second one will be cutesty and third one I plan to make it into a romantic part with some smut 🫦. Stay tuned my fellow shobaes! Let me know if my writing skills suck. It’s been awhile since I’ve wrote something that isn’t a research paper.
