when i think of my future, the thing that always comes to mind is me and my lover finding a place to call home, spending days painting and decorating, building furniture, eating takeout on the floor because we forgot to get chairs, having a day off and spending most of it lazing around and watching movies, listening to songs on a shitty radio, on a station that plays old music, and waltzing to it even though there’s still so much to do. pouring both of our hearts into it, making it a place that radiates love and warmth and safety. in a way, it’ll be like parts of our souls are scattered around our home, in the decorations we choose, the photos we display, the accidental scratch on the floor that we covered up with a rug. even though it won’t be ours forever, there will always be a small part of us that lingers.

honestly though not to sound like the joker but the sooner you realize "normality" is a social construct and everyone's concept of "normal" is personal and subjective and you will never be "normal" or "socially acceptable" to everyone so you might as well just find or make a space and community where you can be the version of yourself that makes you happy the sooner your life will change for the better
