Incredibly alarming that talks of “peace” in Gaza seem to extend no further than a ceasefire. How do you think they’re gonna start off where they left off themselves? Their houses are destroyed, so many have lost mothers and fathers and brothers and children, they still have no clean water and no food. Any area Israel withdraws out of is an area it already knows has been rendered inhospitable. There was even a direct quote by some IOF soldier gleefully stating how he “wasn’t sure Palestinians could go back to their homes.” So what happens when the US “succeeds at negotiating a ceasefire”? Who will be responsible for helping the Palestinians rebuild all that they’ve lost?

This is just a friendly reminder not to post about non-Palestine related interests from the 7th to ideally the 9th. I would love to go back to Goemon posting, but there are more important things.
This goes beyond this upcoming strike, but I would like to remind everyone, including myself, that
Educating others on Palestine is important, if not essential, and
There is a right and wrong way to do it
Spring Break, Easter, and the like are approaching, and these breaks would make great opportunities to protest and advocate for a ceasefire, as well as educate family and friends since many of us will visit with them.
However, it is important to remember that not everyone is "chronically online" as the kids say. Unfortunately, some of those closest to you are completely unaware of what is happening in Palestine, or are completely misinformed by the rampant misinformation being spread. So, in order to effectively communicate why we are calling for a ceasefire, why we are boycotting, why this is a genocide, you yourself need to 1) understand why and 2) assume good faith in others.
Yes, it is horribly racist when someone assumes all Palestinians are terrorists, but this is what popular media is feeding them; assume good faith, though feel free to disengage with anyone not willing to listen to common sense. Yes, this is a genocide, but throwing around buzzwords like "settler colonialism," "ethnic cleansing," and the like mean absolutely nothing if you do not know what these words mean and what they have to do with Palestine (this isn't to say that you shouldn't use them, as they are accurate, but you shouldn't use them if you yourself don't know what they mean). Now is the time to pick up a book or read a reputable news source. You aren't going to get far with anyone if you immediately jump to statements we, the internet, understand and have context for, but your family and friends unfortunately don't.
Please, during this strike or in preparation for these upcoming holidays, take the time to learn the facts and develop the ability to explain why we're pro-Palestine:
30,000+ Palestinians are dead, in comparison to the 1,139 dead Israeli citizens (both group's lives matter, but this has gone on for far too long; this is no longer a war or about defense, this is outright genocidal)
72,000+ Palestinians have been wounded in the attacks, and medical aid is unavailable
20 Palestinians have starved to death already, and this is only the beginning
Jewish Voices for Peace, the United Nations, the World Food Programme, Doctors without Borders, Save the Children, and many other charities and human-rights organizations have called for a ceasefire
Read into the BDS movement and why certain brands were chosen to be boycotted
Read The Question of Palestine, The Hundred Year's War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonialism and Resistance, and The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine in particular, alongside other Palestine-related books (many of these are provided as free PDFs online if you simply search them, and I would link to these free sources, but unfortunately it would make you automatically download the PDF instead of redirecting you to a website so I have left them out)
Keep speaking out and standing up for Palestine. Thank you.

EXACTLY!
I am not going to vote to sacrifice Palestine to genocide, just so middle America can pretend they are standing with the 'lesser evil'
This is what I mean by the redline we will not cross. There is no room to compromise on genocide. There is no 'lesser evil' here, there is only evil.
And you need to stand up to it right now!
You stand up and fight, here and now
or you surrender forever
Your choice.

A note to Christians supporting Israel: Jesus was a native Palestinian man. His mother was from Nazareth, he was born in Bethlehem, which are both places in Palestine.
To support Israel’s attacks on Palestinian people is also supporting the genocide of Jesus’ brothers and sisters.
Jesus’ whole message was to spread love and encourage resistance upon the oppressors of him and his people.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
Mashallah, and may the holy month of Ramadan bring good tidings to our Muslim brothers and sisters who are suffering in Palestine.

Watching the NYT cover the genocide rolling out every hot button issue and hoping it sways opinion against Palestine
NYT: Palestinians hate LGBTQ
NYT: Palestinians Beat their Wives
NYT: Palestinians don't want girls in school
NYT: Palestinians don't want women wearing make-up
NYT: Palestinians force women to wear veils
NYT: Palestinians use propaganda
NYT: Palestinians make children work
Guess what, NYT? Ultra Conservative groups in the US do all this, too. Where's your breaking coverage on their lives?

The IOF has bought robot militarized dogs with our tax money to hunt down Palestinans.
What more proof of genocide and distopian acts of violence and death does the world need?
They test bombs and guns and new war inventions to.sell to other countries as war tested when really they were tested on babies. They were tested on innocent men, women, and children. Slaughtering thousands without really knowing how terrible their deaths were going to be.
Permanent Ceasefire Now!
Humanitarian Aid Now!
Save Rafah Now!
Save North Gaza Now!

In case you lost it - a link to the eSIM donation guide. Even if you feel sick and powerless, you can at least do this. And even if you really, really can't donate, you can always at least share this and remind others.

a man self immolated in front of the israeli embassy in washington dc yesterday. not just any man. an active member of the us air force. he live streamed his death, and said that he refused to be complicit in a genocide any longer. he said that compared to what palestinians were facing every day, setting himself alight was nothing.
let me reiterate. an active duty air force member burned himself alive because he was so disgusted by what the us government was openly supporting. he live-streamed his own suicide, so the whole world could bear witness as a man in his military uniform set himself on fire to protest his government’s complicity in the horrors that we have all been forced to watch happen in real time. he became a new horror. footage of the immolation blurs him out the moment the fire catches, but you can hear him. it is over in seconds, really, but you can hear him screaming. he shouts “free palestine” until his body physically cannot make any sounds other than guttural screams of agony. and then he falls silent. a police officer arrives and points a gun at his still burning body, shouting at him to get down on the ground. and it is over.
his name was Aaron Bushnell. he was twenty five years old. and he isn’t here anymore because the political ruling class has decided that genocide is perfectly fine as long as it preserves imperialism. in the coming days, people will try to discredit him. to say that he was mentally unstable. they will try to bury his actions to save face and defend israel’s propaganda. do not let them. aaron knew what he was doing. he knew what he was doing when he put on his military uniform, set up his twitch stream, and made his final walk up to the embassy. he knew what would happen to him when he flicked that lighter. do not let them forget. aaron’s blood is on the hands of the political ruling class.

in light of israel's looming invasion on rafah, south africa implored the icj to call for the protection of palestinians with new preliminary orders. the icj denied this request, insisting that its january orders would be sufficient enough in ensuring the safety of people residing in rafah.
we have all seen how israel responded to the icj verdict earlier this month. they have all but intensified their attacks on palestinians, their favorite of whom seem to be children. this will end in a bloodbath. palestinians, already malnourished and living in literal tents, will be bombarded, they will be shot, they will be slaughtered. and when i say palestinians, a lot of them are actual toddlers. the videos coming out of this are proof enough.
at this point, it has been made amply clear that palestinians will never experience safety in their own homeland. a lot of the families in gaza are trying to raise funds to get out of it, because there's nowhere left to go.
there is nowhere left to go. if these people don't get the funds necessary to escape, they will die.
it's vital that you go to operation olive branch's spreadsheet, choose a family that resonates with you, and donate as much as you can to their gofundme. every last dollar counts. one dollar could be the difference between life and death for a family. please don't fall victim to the bystander effect. your contribution counts, however little it may be. and whether you're able to donate or not, spread this to as many people as you can. each second we stay silent is a second an entire family is brutally massacred.
