i randomly started thinking of my old Gabpay fic idea from whatever months ago and i am so sorry to any fellow Gabpay shippers out there who will most likely never get to see it cuz i'm probably never gonna write it but i swear it's so fucking good

Unpopular opinion: Jason/Kelsi makes no sense. Their first ever interaction is of him stripping her (taking her hat) so she can be more feminine (long hair go swoosh) and then forcing her to shoot the game ball (it’s totally going to get lost. Her first ever gift from a school friend and she has to immediately throw it away).

Ryan/Kelsi on the other hand, makes lots of sense. They’re both in the drama club. They talk each other’s language (“What key?”). They both get exasperated by Sharpay (those exaggerated eyerolls lol). They both still work with Sharpay despite this. They both like hats.

HSM2 screwed it up by pairing Kelsi with Jason damn it. And if they were going to pair Ryan with dancing Martha, then at least give her some actual lines, rather than just stick them together right at the end like that.

#i only can see Ryan as gay so i don't ship him and Kelsi #but one hundred percent from a personality and matching interests perspective they make so much sense #martha/ryan makes kinda sense but jason/kelsi literally makes no sense #and also one hundred percent agree Martha got done so dirty #i know why they automatically paired Jason with Kelsi in the first movie cuz “every character needs to be in a relationship” #hsm2 really said “we need to keep at least one thing in this movie straight” but didn't even do that right lmao #at least make the forced pairings interesting
