Dungeon Meshi made me, a lifelong non-eater of breakfast, into someone who eats breakfast every day.
I’m not sure what category of film rec that counts as, but it definitely counts as one.

It's about time Frodo introduced Sam to his parents! Thorin, being stubborn self, absolutely refuses that his son gets courted before he turns at least 100 years old. Bilbo on the other hand is absolutely delighted that his son is courting the son of his dear friend Hamfast Gamgee. But this doesn't help with Thorin's heated response to this. Frodo was furious and arguments continued on for days before Thorin agreed to get to know Sam. Not even an hour later Thorin is already giving his blessing. Frodo thinks Sam survived by pure luck while Bilbo believes it's Hobbit charm. Also I think it would be very funny if the term dating used in the first drawing is like slang used by kids. Thorin being old and all doesnt get it and Bilbo thinks its very amusing.
Btw I have to apologize if the quality of my art worsened, school and work have been tough but i am determined to give you all content!

Thank you. You're doing great, btw. 🥰
*through gritted teeth* you are not a child taking a test with the purpose of getting the highest score, you are an adult trying new things and finding ways to enjoy your life, make mistakes, be a beginner, be mediocre, be where you need to be, be unlikeable, just. be.

Great catch...I guess he also has a slightly more opposed orientation and definitely more human-like musculature to his arms, so maybe they wanted him to look more definitively like a skin-changed man than a full bear?
Something about Beorn's bear form design in the Hobbit movies has always looked off to me but I never could figure out why. It's because they made his hind legs digitigrade
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Actual bears' hind legs are plantigrade
Tumblr media
Why did they do this. It just looks strange and un-bear-like
Tumblr media
Look at this it looks so weird. Also this gif is so fucking funny why is he falling like that. Anatomically incorrect bear be upon ye

Finally revealing my artwork for the second year of @thorinsspringforge!
A very special thank you to @xenomorphic-warrior, who partnered with me for this year, who wrote a melancholic and touching fanfic about Thorin, who wakes up as a ghost in Erebor after his death, watching as his loved ones live on without him. A presence follows him, however, and he learns he isn't the only apparition who haunts the halls of the Lonely Mountain...
Please check out the fanfic, which I have linked above! <3 And please check out the other contributions as well :)

Okay, you know what? After reading this post, I jokingly said we should all just make a pact to reblog it five times a day forever. So I'm gonna do this louder for the people in the back:
AO3 WAS CREATED BY FANS, FOR FANS
AO3 IS RUN BY FANS (VOLUNTEERS, NO LESS)
AO3 IS PART OF THE NON-PROFIT, ORGANIZATION FOR TRANSFORMATIVE WORKS
AO3 IS NOT OWNED BY ANY COMPANIES AND DOES NOT EARN REVENUE
AO3 OPERATES ON DONATIONS FROM FANS
again:
AO3 WAS CREATED BY FANS, FOR FANS

I don’t know if anyone has ever done this before but, here ya go… The Different Types of Fanfiction!
I probably left a few out, but these are the most common, compared to their base fiction’s canon plot. Enjoy! XD

I go through the same thing when I explain that my mother who was born in 1951 in Idaho died of aggressive metastasizing breast cancer when she was 38 and her sister has had endometriosis, cervical cancer and fibromyalgia. There's no history of any of these in our family. They used to call that generation "Downwinders" because they lived down wind from the nuclear testing sites in New Mexico.
when doctors ask if i have any history of cancer in my family and i have to say that yes my grandmother had 2 types of gastrointestinal cancer and they're like oh wow okay so we'll keep an eye out for that but i'm like no it was probably just all the nuclear radiation and they're like ok hm ok what the fuck do you mean and it's very weird seeing the look on american doctors' faces when you have to explain to them that believe it or not atomic bombs were dropped on this earth 2 generations ago and it did have consequences

I have four and they are all so amazing. I'd gladly have 6 or 8 if we had the proper social network and familial support to make it work.
Thanks for the question, Anon! I had to combine the “10” with the “more than 10” because I ran out of space! Hope it works.
For me I have a lot of health issues and can’t work because of it, and family issues as well, but if it was a perfect world, I would choose two kids. That way they have each other.

TIL:
The Great Molasses Flood, also known as the Boston Molasses Disaster,[1][2][a] was a disaster that occurred on Wednesday, January 15, 1919, in the North End neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts.
A large storage tank filled with 2.3 million U.S. gallons (8,700 cubic meters)[4] of molasses, weighing approximately[b] 13,000 short tons (12,000 metric tons), burst, and the resultant wave of molasses rushed through the streets at an estimated 35 miles per hour (56 kilometers per hour), killing 21 people and injuring 150.[5] The event entered local folklore and residents reported for decades afterwards that the area still smelled of molasses on hot summer days.[5][6]
35mph!!! 👀
As I gaze at the structural column in Copley Station, cracked nearly in two and held together with zip ties that have been carefully painted over to match the column underneath, I feel my soul intertwined with that of a small Italian boy of days gone by, who also stopped to look up at a large, groaning, newly painted tank full of molasses
