Eyebrows shoot up as Fiyero looks at the girl in the chair. He knows who she is: Nessarose Thropp, the daughter of Eminent Frex Thropp, heir to the title, for some reason, and sister to the green girl he had danced with just minutes ago. Now both Galinda and Elphaba have disappeared, and a small crowd has gathered around him.

The boy looks away for a moment, searches for the munchkin Galinda had convinced to escort Nessarose to the Ozdust, Biq or whatever his name is, but he doesn’t see him. Fiyero takes a couple of steps away from the people who surrounded him, and gets closer to Nessarose. Careful not to spill the drink in his hand. His cheeks are hot, but the boy couldn’t tell whether it’s for the alcohol or for what she had said. “Miss Nessarose! Look, if you’re referring to my dance with your sister... I can assure you Galinda was perfectly fine with it. Matter of fact, she was there too.”

Blue eyes scan the green girl from her feet to the very tip of her hair, and a sceptical expression forms on Fiyero’s features. He forces himself to suppress a laugh, but curls his lips in a sarcastic half smile nonetheless.

“Is that so?” he asks her, his tone is amused, there’s a glint in his hues as he focuses on her dark ones. “I mean, sounds fake, but okay. Is this a way to force me to introduce myself or something? Whew, I haven’t done this in a while.” The Winkie prince sighs dramatically, then extends one hand for her to shake. He isn’t going to shy away from her touch, she could be purple, for all he cares. He’s more concerned about her absolute lack of excitement in having him before her. “I’m Fiyero Tiggular, prince of the Vinkus. Or Winkie. Please don’t swoon, unless you want me to catch you, that is.”

An annoyed sigh escapes him, as Fiyero looks over at the girl sitting opposed to him at the desk. The library has long gone silent, not a soul has remained, they’ve all gone to enjoy that fine friday night. Each one of them. Except for Elphaba and Fiyero.

Glinda is nowhere to be found, too busy with the upcoming Lurinemas ball the university will held to be seen by anyone outside her room and/or her favourite shopping centres. And that leaves her best friend and her boyfriend on their own, and of course with an upcoming linguification exam, Elphaba wasn’t going to let him go without testing him first. Even if it took all day and night, apparently.

“Come on. Are you serious? I’ve done my best, and this paper isn’t terrible. I say it’s enough progress, now come on, let’s go do something fun!”
