Immortal Heart Society: Legacy Edition v1.1 is out!

New update for Immortal Heart Society: Legacy is out!

What this includes:

- Alanna Season 2, Episodes 1 - 6 of Emilio Season 1

- Better menu navigation, some UI additions, added animations

- The game now automatically asks you to input your name upon the first startup, afterwards, you can edit your name whenever you want in the main menu using the pencil icon

- Android builds ready to play!

great news: thanks to some kind souls i managed to get my hands on the og ui from the lovestruck app + some dialogue choices for ihs: legacy :D currently revamping alanna's s1 + s2 with dialogue choices as well as added animations!

i got 10/12 episodes of alanna’s second season coded in, if i’m not terribly busy i think i could finish emilio’s first season as well by next week and publish the new update 🤔 (with android builds available for download as well!)

to this day i still wonder who wrote alanna’s route…i wish i could send them many grateful messages because alanna’s route (especially her season 1) is just. one of my favorite things ever from lovestruck along with vivienne and nora

i initially fell in love with the writing for alanna’s route bc of all the mess that i liked: the one who trusts too much x the one who finds it difficult to trust anyone at all! exes with benefits that are pretending they aren’t in love still! the terror of wanting to get closer but pulling back at the last second because: wake up! remember how badly this person has hurt you before!!!

but…rereading it now 2-3 years later after alanna’s route launched, my appreciation has massivelyyyy grown beyond the fun tropes that i liked. after having experiences extremely similar to alanna and fmc’s dynamic in these recent years, going thru her route now hits all the painful but familiar notes so it makes me want to bash my head in but also at the same time it’s… very comforting? 😭 whoever wrote alanna’s route hit the nail on the head with all these feelings and especially fmc’s inner narration

OH and same goes for mc's blush sprite going over her 1930s sprite's hair aaaahhh im so glad i can fix these minor annoyances now

one minor thing that bothered me about alanna's season 2 in the og lovestruck app is mc constantly talking about not being able to find madeleine's necklace when... it is clearly on madeleine's sprite since they didn't really bother to edit it out for when they bump into her in the 1930s lmao

thankfully with ihs: legacy i can get rid of this minor annoyance with the power of photo editing! yay!

someone asked me on reddit whether ihs: legacy will come to android, and the answer is yup! the next update will come with a slight navigation overhaul + android builds avail for download + alanna s2 and emilio’s s1

right now i’m coding both of those routes simultaneously, with 5/12 episodes for alanna done and 2/12 for emilio :]

worked some more on ihs: legacy today! i already coded a bit of alanna s2, but i decided to start on emilio's route as well to change it up a bit occasionally so i don't get too burnt out from coding alanna's lol. i also improved the menu navigation and added in cash and rafe's route placeholders :]

initially this was only a small project for me just to see how ren'py works + to make a playable version of alanna's route for myself, but now that im invested in it... i'm aiming to finish the routes in this order: alanna -> emilio -> rafe -> cash!

Immortal Heart Society: Legacy Edition

over the holidays i found myself missing the feeling of playing one of my favorite ls routes on the app, aka alanna mckenna, so i got to work and i'd like to happily announce that my ren'py remake, entitled Immortal Heart Society: Legacy Edition is officially out!

the remake isn't 100% perfect yet, due to missing the og app ui elements as well as dialogue choices, but the entire first season of alanna's route is playable!

currently coded in 8 episodes out of alanna's first season!! as i watch recordings for the remake, i realize this is also my first time rereading alanna's route since lovestruck shut down, and i forgot how many good moments she had in season one alone. so cute
