if video game company execs had brains capable of thinking more than one financial quarter into the future they would be pushing to onboard the 50-65 age market so they could have a solid base of retirees with low mobility and lots of disposable income in 10+ years but because they're short-term shit-for-smarts they're gonna have to wait like half a century to really rake in that sweet sweet old person money and most of that generation won't even be able to afford a 70$ AAA price tag. idiots. fuckin fools.

"I thought you were better now; I haven't heard you complain in ages!"
Reasons why a person who suffers from a disability/chronic pain/etc might stop mentioning it:
They got tired of talking about it
They were worried it was annoying people
They stopped receiving sympathy
No one seemed to care anymore
It was depressing them
They were attempting to focus on the good things for a while
It just felt so pointless and hopeless
They were told to stop
Lots of severe health issues never go away. Keep in mind that a friend who has a disability or chronic pain might still be struggling even if they don't bring it up any more.

usually the comment section of a post is a dreadful, horrifying place, but not on this post
you found a safehaven
everyone in the comments is just talking about their favorite soup

It’s wild when you’re disabled and have adapted your entire life to be able to function even a little bit and people will still think you’ve “given up” or “let the illnesses win” because you allow yourself to rest. Grind mindset is garbage.

He has regular insurance under the name of “Batman,” to go with his Batman drivers’ license where he’s wearing the cowl in the ID photo and the address is “the Batcave.”
Bruce Wayne has regular insurance for all of his cars — including the Batmobile — and listed “Batman” as an insured driver. Everyone assumes it’s a joke.
By legal standards the Batmobile is considered a scooter and is exempt from insurance requirements.
Wayne Enterprises has a special insurance division that allows people to purchase insurance anonymously. Bruce Wayne is a little bit conflicted by the fact that a good portion of the local villains take advantage of this.
One of the reasons Gotham is considered a terrible place to live is that vehicle insurance is not mandatory.

"low support needs disabled people are often not believed to have a disability at all and therefore struggle to get accommodations."
"high support needs disabled people's accommodations are often seen as 'too much' and therefore are not met."
"neurodivergent people's needs are often dismissed because nothing is physically wrong with them."
"physically disabled people people often cannot physically access buildings and people refuse to do anything about it."
"invisibly disabled people are seen as lazy by society."
"visibly disabled people are ostracized from society."
IT'S ALMOST LIKE THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE DISABILITY
