I'm an adult, if that makes you uncomfortable you have no obligation to stay. This website is tailor made by you and you alone ¡¡block to your hearts content!!
I think I've only seen two posts about Pitch Pearl misunderstanding but I've never seen it with the common deaged Ellie/Dani trope.
deaged Elle having a hard time controlling her powers so they can't cover up that she's a hybrid. Let there be a misunderstanding that the ghost hero accidentally Knocked Up the son of the local Ghost Hunters. Danny learns duplication so he can do ghost battles while he takes care of Ellie when she's in a younger state. Of course, commit to the bit Danny Fenton will absolutely take a chance to not have his identity exposed.
After Ellie gets settled and it's normalized that Danny has a kid, something goes wrong with Dan's stabilization and ends up reverting back to his core. Danny ends up angry with himself for not looking after Dan well, which to the public looks like he's mad at Phantom for getting him knocked up again.
Teen dad Danny Fenton moving into Crime Alley and getting a reputation for helping. Street kids willing to babysit Ellie and Dan while he’s job hunting can spend the night, have a meal, get cash, whichever they choose. Sec workers who do Ellie’s hair/nails/babysit some nights also get the same benefits. He will treat anyone with injuries for the low price of showing Ellie and Dan their guns/taking them to the observatory/getting him job opportunities.
All of the people in Crime Alley know the single meta dad with two kids, who has helped half the alley at least. Everyone is also aware of how Ellie calls her other parent ‘The Bastard’, and how bad their nightmares are, the ones they have to call Danny for(A few of his repeat guests have seen the scars and burns on his arms. Some of the older street kids recognize that hunted look he gets when people touch him when he doesn’t know they are there. Some of the sec workers notice how protective he is of his kids, and the younger workers. No matter who they are, they all notice how Dan gets quiet and angry when asked about his ‘other dad’. They all have sworn never to let those kids go back to the other dad, Danny included. They are a part of Crime Alley now, and they protect their own)
Danny doesn’t realize how far his reputation goes/how much everyone trusts him until two of his regulars bring in an injured Red Hood, promising him whatever he wants in exchange for him helping their boss.
Jason tends to get extra pissy around his death day.
The bats assume it's just because of the anniversary triggering trauma and try to give him extra space on that day. Which isn't completely wrong, but not quite right either.
Enter Danny: 19 year old half time dead kid.
Who learns about Jason's Death Day and is appalled to learn how the Bats deal with it.
.
"Dude, you don't celebrate your Death Day?"
"No?? Why the fuck would I celebrate the most traumatic day of my life???"
"Because it was the most traumatic day of your life! It needs to be acknowledged! And you need something pleasant a fun to take the edge off the hurt! I'm not saying throw a huge party or anything. Just, you should be spending the day with your Fraid, your family. With them doing something nice just for you. My Fraid spends the day watching space documentaries and then the night stargazing with me."
Damian, early into his stay with his Father and right at the precipice of his hatred of Tim, finds a sword. It is named Soul Shredder, and rumored to have belonged to a very strong spirit of vengeance.
He decides to use it to prove he is superior to Drake.
He takes the sword, walks up behind Drake's unsuspecting form, and with one clean cut; he lops off his head.
The reaction of Father is instant; he screams. It's a hollow, broken thing. It's full of grief and rage and pain, and Damian takes one look at his Fathers eyes and knows it is time to run.
This is not a victory.
This is not an achievement.
He will not be praised.
He is going to be hunted to the ends of the earth.
He turns and flees, just in time to hear Grayson scream as well; horrified turning to enraged.
He runs from them for months. At one point even Todd joined in, congratulating Damian on making Father willing to break his code and kill the Joker if it meant help in hunting him down. After that Todd had struck, managing to take Damian's arm in a moment of weakness.
At six months, he finds himself cornered.
Grandfather and Mother had agreed with Father upon hearing how badly Damian had shamed himself, and were watching apathetically from behind the Batman.
Batman, Nightwing, and Red Hood move forward as one.
Batman, Nightwing, and Red Hood strike as one.
Damian blinks...and falls backwards, letting go of the sword he just grabbed.
Drake turns around, startled, head still attached to his neck.
Ears ringing, Damian can't hear whatever Father is saying as he pats him down for injuries. Can't hear whatever Drake says as he moves forward cautiously to do his own injury check.
All he can think of is that he has been given a second chance, and he cannot allow anything to happen to Drake.
Or; Damian touches Soul Shredder, the blade of the Fright Knight. It was in the Batcave for storage, since apparently Constantine won it in a skewed deal and didn't want it around him.
As a result, he's thrown into a nightmare of his own worst subconscious fears; being rejected after doing what he was supposed to do, and losing a fight.
Now, he's overly paranoid of anything at all happening to Tim.
All honesty I don't like that feature and have had it turned off since they added it.
For me I use the read more feature to define where I think a turning point that will grab a reader is. Usually, that's the third paragraph for my writing style. If I don't use the read more button I am at the mercy of tumblr. I've been here well over a decade and do not trust that that will go well. Also who's to say they'll remove it at random like they have with other features.
Thanks for pointing it out if others were unaware.
Please, I am begging the Danny Phantom fandom to learn to use the "read more" feature
Just add it, anywhere after the 3rd paragraph please.
I keep having to scroll past so much damn text for fic I saw the first sentence of and knew it wasn't for me.
On mobile it's the sandwich looking sticker. Here look I'll use it now:
Look at that magic.
Please I'm begging you, if you think people won't read the fic, the people who wouldn't have read it anyway are the only ones scrolling past.
Danny puts up with a lot of stress, okay.
His coping mechanism is....okay, it's a little weird, he's not gonna lie.
It is widely known that he has a human form and a ghost form; it is not widely known that his ghost form can do pretty much whatever he wants it to.
This includes making it smaller. Changing the ghost tail to a fish one. Making the suit be scales instead of a suit.
He does it so many times he now officially has three forms, and one of them is purely for himself and no one else.
His stress relief is to go to the aquarium, switch to the tiny merman form, and hide in the rocks of his favorite exhibit; the shark exhibit.
He stays in the back, away from the people visiting it's sight, and just vibes. He's even made a small cave the sharks can't fit into a tiny little nest.
No one would expect him there. No one would be looking for him there. He was free to just...take a moment.
Well, so he thought.
Because the humans visiting did see him. Multiple times.
They took pictures.
Now the Amity Park Aquarium is in some deep shit with Atlantis, because there's documented proof that they're keeping a literal baby mer in there as a spectacle.
