Another blanket had gone missing from the Lost Ones' supply, and Lilly had been sent out to find it. Or rather, she had offered to go, because she knew for sure that it had been Rose. Again. Damien and Lilly had already told her that if she needed anything she just had to ask. Yet Rose had completely ignored their act of kindness, and stolen from them. Aside from angering Lilly, she had pissed off a lot of Lost Ones too.
Lilly had decided to try the Jolly Roger first, since the Pirates rarely came off the ship, unless it was for food or water. They hated the Lost Ones, they hated Indians and they hated Pan; you couldn't really go anywhere on the island without encountering one of the three. Despite her mission to find Rose and retrieve what she had taken, Lilly had still taken a few minutes for herself, to pull off her boots and walk through the cool water, rather than on the hot sand.
During her walk, her eyes roamed the edge of the forest - you could never let your guard down on the island - and she spotted something stretched between two trees. Pulling herself away from the sea, Lilly walked closer to see what it was; she couldn't be exactly sure from so far away. As she drew closer to what she could only presume was a hammock, Lilly made out a figure laying in the folds of the blanket. Said someone was clearly resting, and now she could even make out who it was. Rose.
A smirk curled onto Lilly's lips - it was the perfect opportunity a small revenge. She crept towards the hammock, trying to avoid making a single sound. Today luck was on her side, and Lilly managed to reach the side of the hammock before she pushed Rose out of it, jumping into it herself. She couldn't stop the grin that spread across her face as she spoke, "You're making this too easy - if you're gonna steal, at least try to get away with it."

Rose had taken a spare blanket from the Lost Ones camp and went about trying to find a spot to make a hammock. Despite her friendships with Damien and Lilly, and their reassurance that if she needed anything from them, she could ask, she still had the tendency to steal. After all, she was a pirate. That’s what pirates did.
She had had doubts about whether or not she belonged with the pirates. Now, carrying the large blanket on her back, her doubts were subdued temporarily. Though there were things she had revealed to Damien and Lilly, willing or otherwise, there were still ways she kept herself at a distance from them. One of those ways was not asking them for their help.
Rose found a perfect place near the beach to set up her hammock. Two trees, situated next to each other, bended over in such a way that made stringing up a hammock quite easy. First, she tied two ends of the blanket to each tree, and then she adjusted the blanket, testing it to make sure it could carry her weight. She double knotted the ends of the blanket just to be sure. She needed to be confident that the hammock wouldn’t tear or fall apart. The blanket she had stolen seemed strong enough, and she gave it another tug just to test it. Now that she knew it wouldn’t give out on her, she decided to hop right on it and rest.
Rose didn’t rest for very long. Her eyes had been closed for maybe ten minutes when she felt something push against her makeshift hammock. Rose didn’t even get to see what had pushed it. As soon as she felt herself jolted awake, her hammock had been flipped over, and she fell flat on her face.

Lilly may have been a little dizzy, but seeing Rose lean over him and lower herself so they were that close made her feel like she had never been more steady. Her gaze hardened each second her eyes lingered on the scene before her. “Don’t make me go mouth-to-mouth on you like I had to after that mermaid attack.” Perhaps Rose was almost as drunk as Damien was, and had been imagining things. That didn’t actually happen, did it? Lilly’s breath caught in her throat as Rose moved her face closer to his, her lips almost brushing against his. She adored Rose and how sweet she usually was, but she coldn’t ignore the bubbling rage in her stomach. Was it from the alcohol, or was it from the way Rose stared at Damien?
When Rose began to laugh Lilly let go of a breath she hadn’t known she was holding. Then again, as soon as she rubbed her nose against his, the anger began to boil again. Then he did the same back. Lilly slid down the log, letting her head rest on the floor. She stared up at the sky and huffed. She couldn’t recall ever feeling this irritable before, and she wasn’t sure what would happen if she continued to watch the strange scenario.
Lilly felt Damien land beside her, but she refused to even acknowledge his presence. That was at least, until he noticed the hickey. Rose, hickey, boyfriend, too many words. Lilly bolted up and attempted to cover the mark by pulling his shirt collar back up. “You won’t be my boyfriend after this, you absolute shit. And anyway, I seem to recall that Rose is your new girlfriend now, so I’ll leave the hickeys to her.”
Rose followed Lilly over to the fire, and she turned at the sound of the girls voice. “No, you and Damien are drunk of your asses. I’m not. Pirate girl, remember?” Rose’s laughing lifted some of the weight of her shoulders, and she followed her gaze back to Damien. At the sight of him, Lilly joined in with the chuckling.
“Not literally,” she grinned. “But they do dance.” Her grin widened at the height difference, and how Rose had to go up onto her tiptoes. “Sounds like a challenge.” “Where I come from, before people dance, all the ladies curtesy, like this,” Lilly pulled away, demonstarting the posture she had been taught as soon as she could walk. “Then all the men bow and they dance. All the ladies wear dresses that billow out around them and everyone looks beautiful. Pardon my enthusiasm.” She giggled before spinning around. “Do you know what I would like to see? Damien attempting to dance.”
