Good enough. | Eve!Reader x —?Content: Angst. Imposter syndrome. Self-hate.

Eating that stupid apple. Falling for his charms.

They were initially called Eve, the first woman made from the rib of the first man, Adam. A match made in Heaven to bless Eden.

But they found out that they were, in fact, NOT the first woman. Actually, a mere replacement meant to be obedient and not question Adam's authority much less God's one — the apple had been both a curse and a blessing in disguise. Eve broke down crying, initially pain swallowed her whole before it turned into rage.

Safe to say that God cursed her, but casted the two of them aside. Tossed into the cruel world. Eden was but a memory, not even a good one.

Adam had cursed, yelled and even held her forearms to shake her because "how could you?!", yet Eve was expresionless, her heart had been shattered and whatever Adam was saying wasn't worth it. His voice was enchanting to hear though, but his words weren't worth listening to.

Eve and Adam. No. Adam and Eve had a family though it was a loveless relationship, solely up to procreate and populate Earth. Or something. And their children were free to do as they please. Yes, even killing.

Eve was numb inside, but she did cry at the loss of something. Perhaps, her innocence, how she didn't want to be a mother, the painful process of birth... Ah yes, her children had been cursed with a terrible mother, Eve hugged Cain as she apologized profusely.

She didn't even care she went to Hell whereas Adam went to Heaven. Of course Adam did, motherfucker always got everything on a silver platter.

And now, down here, a beautiful and stunning figure... Eve hated that Lucifer, the one that made her commit the first known sin in the first place, he wasn't even enamored by her. Much like Adam, Lucifer was hung up on Lilith.

Was Eve... worth something? Not at all. Clearly just a shadow.

Hence why they changed their looks, their name, everything that could tie them to her previous miserable life. Eve was no longer.

However, (Y/N) was their new chosen identity and made them feel happy for once, could Hell be kinder than Eden and Earth?

WIP Fanfiction: How Adam and our dearest ____ raised a kid in heaven is an experiment that the creator himself suggests.

Sera, the high seraphim, requested both Adam and ______ to come to her office. While waiting for the two important angels, Sera cradled someone in her arms. She was humming as she moved around her big office. As she craddled the little one in her arm's, Sera was giggling and laughing as she was moving slowly around her office before hearing several footsteps and a familiar, loud voice. Sera sighs and sits down on her chair, looking formally at the door open, revealing Adam and his second-hand woman, Lute. Behind them, _____ looked calm and graceful as usual with her soft smile. Both angels walk closer to Sera.

"Greetings, Adam. _____, I have requested both of you because I have important tasks for both of you."

Sera explains that as she craddled the little one on her arms, she made Adam and _____ confused. 

"My dearest friend, may I ask why it is important? Has Adam done something wrong this time?"

______ asks, which makes Adam gasp and scoff. 

"Excuse me, you motherfu."

"You are excused, Adam, the first of men."

_____ cut off Adam while keeping her soft smile on her face. Adam clenched his fist before he attacked with another snarky response. Sera cut them off.

"Before you respond with a vulgar word, Adam, I must warn you that there is a child."

Sera warned Adam, as she is now glaring at Adam, which makes Adam nervously sweat before shutting himself up.

You see, why is that a problem? After all, we don't judge the cover of the book!" ______ smiled at the angel and gently pinched his cheek before walking up to Adam and staying by his side the entire day! listening to him about rock and his rant about his work and sera _____ is currently at work helping Sera with some of the problem on earth and as well Hell and its being overpopulated yes _____ she knows about the extermination and how her Husband Adam leads it and every time when the extermination start she always reminds Adam to be careful which He always reply "Chillax babe i am The Adam! the first man!! they wont lay a scratch on me okay? now stop worrying Babe cause that type of stuff doesn't suit you at all!" _____felt her cheek being cupped, she look at Adam in the eyes and sighed and kiss him by the cheek and hold his hand "I know, i know... its just that... i don't want that someday when i waited that portal to be open and i didn't see you...i-" "Hey! As soon as the door was opened, Second Hand Lieutenant Lute Adams entered the room. "Sir, it's about to start," she said as she looked down, knowing that the couple were kissing once she heard the room was quiet. The hug was broken by Adam's sigh and he pulled away.

"See, he did everything on your checklist!"

The woman stood up and pointed out that this demon called Angel Dust did everything on the checklist. On the top of the court, where the seraphims are, the beautiful seraphim looked at them.

"He was selfless; he stopped Niffty from stealing, and he stuck it to that Mothman."

The blonde demon listed down what Angel Dust did while her face was smiling brightly because of what Angel Dust did.

"Do you think demons should be redeemed?"

Sera said quite quietly, not looking at her but down the court. The seraphim looked at Sera speechless and didn't know what to say to her question.

"I don't know Sera."

The seraphim fiddled with her ring on her finger, feeling nerveous at the situation that even the head seraphim asked her a question about it. All she heard from Sera was a small humm of reply to her unsure question. ____ turned her head down to the court where this daughter of the morningstar was trying to reason out heaven that the demon had descended to be redeemed and live in heaven.

"Uhh...well.." Adam was speechless because the blonde hair demon named Charlie was right. He turned to the audience and then looked up to make eye contact with ___, which gave him a smile of reassurance, which Adam smiled back at and turned his head towards Charlie.

"Then why isn't it here then, huh?"

Adam said while both hands of his pointing at the crystal ball with an angel dust face on it.

"Yeah. Why isn't he here?" the young seraphim named Emily questioned, and ___ turned her head towards the young seraphim, agreeing with what she said. Although ___ does not say a word to the entire court, she still uses her actions to express her opinion.

After Emily questioned all of the other angels, they nodded in agreement, saying that if angel dust is good, why isn't he in heaven?

"Wait." Charlie's voice changes from once higher to a little bit lower and more serious.

"None of you know what gets someone into heaven."

Charlie asks while looking at everyone in the audience. She looks up to where the seraphim are, and she makes eye contact with ___.

"Seaphina..?"

Charlie mumbled a little but pulled away from her eye contact with the seraphim and looked at the other angels in the audience.

"This question stops now. We know when a soul arrives. We know when they pass divine judgment."

Sera said, looking as strict as ever, and her voice is now more serious, which sends a shiver down her spine. She looked at her and bit her lips as she wanted to protest, but she couldn't.

___ fiddles her ring and looks at Adam, who looks back at her and gives her a smile of reassuring, which makes her happy. ____ looks back at Sera and listened to her.

"it is our job to ensure these souls are safe."

Sera continued as she looked at everyone, hoping that they would stop asking questions about what the princess of hell said.

(I'm going to skip the musical part.)

____ Stared at the person that she loved the most, did something so horrible, her wings open and ready to fly towards Adam, and demanded an explanation. As she was ready to fly down, she felt someone hand on her shoulders. She turned her head and saw it was Emily, the youngest seraphim holding her back, while Sera raised her hand, indicating that everyone needs to be quiet. She took a deep breath and ran her hands on her hair, arranging a little bit, and looked at the princess of hell and a former exterminator.

"I'm sorry, but this court finds that there is no evidence that souls and hell can be redeemed."

"Oh! Fuck! Yes, I win."

Adam cheered

"Suck it! Bitch! You better save the date because we are coming to your hotel first!"

Adam mumbled towards the former exterminator and the princess of hell while he slowly walked towards them, which gave off an intimidation aura.

As Sera finally said and ____ looked at her in shock, she walked towards her, held her hand, and gently squeezed it.

"But, sera, you saw this demon. They Check all the lists. What do you mean that you don’t find the evide-"

"Enough ____, this topic is close."

____ was cut off and felt Sera's hand pull away while turning back to court while she stood there, confused, shocked, and irritated. She turns her head towards the pincess of hell and looks her in the eyes with sorry

"Is that really you, Seraphina?"

Charlie silently said as Adam and Lucie looked at the pathetic princess on the floor, looking at Seraphim, which Adam tripped.

'HEY! Stop looking at my wife! She's not going to help you! "

Adam yelled, which crossed his hand, and looked at Charlie, glaring.

Adam snapped his finger, and a portal opened behind the demons back, sucking both demons in while they protested.

"Charlie, don't give up on this! I'll figure something out, I promise!!"

Emily frantically said while standing there in shock, looking at Adam and his new-found personality. I mean, yeah, Adam was quite a dick during their thousands of years in marriage, but she never thought that there was more to his personality than being more brutal.

"That wasn't called Adam."

Sera glared at the first man.

"Yeah, but did you see the looks on their faces?"

Adam was cut off by what he said when he looked at the woman that he loved and glared at him in anger. He turned around and flew away, leaving her husband, which the man followed her with a worried look on his face.

Adam said as he opened the door of their home, which once was full of joy and happiness and now is filled with quietness and a thick atmosphere.

"Talk about what, Adam? Are you killing an innocent soul?!"

Adam tried to reason with her as he took off his LED mask and put it on a table.

and hold her hands gently while looking at her.

"Look, babe, they are in hell because they did something bad while they were on earth. Please _____ understand me on this one, k?"

Adam squeezed her hand gently while rubbing her hand with his thumb.

____ felt her tears roll down her cheek and look at Adam.

"Don't you feel a little guilty? They are your children with Eve."

____gently said while looking at Adam in the eyes.

"Don't you feel at least sorrow?"

Adam stayed quiet and sighed. he hated lying to her. but in this situation, it justifiable.

"I did feel guilty. I really did."

A little lie wouldn't hurt.
