This is where I come to cry about Sengen, Gen and DCST in general 😭💚💜 Follows and likes with @fieryjeanne | You can check @fieryjeannearchives for more DCST brainrot
Gen, sulking: You always say mean things to me, Senku-chan! I’m the type that grows with praise, you know?
Senku: You got to be kidding me… This is the result of Mummy and Daddy spoiling you when you were growing up. If praises can get you to work, then I would’ve spoiled you.
Gen: Then say good things about me.
Senku: Hah? Are you seriously saying that?
Gen: …
Senku: You try really hard even though you’re actually a coward.
Gen: Hu-huh?
Senku: That’s your good point.
Gen, still processing that Senku actually said it: …
Gen: Tell me more.
Senku: Hah?! Why would I?!
Gen: [more sulking]
Senku, hesitantly: You put a lot of effort in secret, you pay attention to other people and you’re considerate.
Gen Asagiri in April 5756 shortly after Taiju and Yuzuriha got married: [touches Senku's hand] There's no shame in being single and you know... you always have me. *winks*
Senku Ishigami, confused but grateful for a companion that is always there for him: Corny. But gee, thanks.
Gen: *left eye twitching*
Senku, on a random Tuesday in year 5770 while computing a formula for a machine in a chalkboard:
...
Eh?
...
[Senku's eyes widening, his ears turning red, and the chalk breaking]
i can't help but associate the two of my favorite media to each other 🙏 i think SenGen would fit Aristotle and Dante (in an AU) with how Dante and Senku both retains that child-like wonder all throughout and knowing the universe better business and how Ari and Gen believed that they could always do anything they set they mind into. (i want to write an AU desperately but unfortunately i have real life responsibilities)
They didn't show it, but I like to think that Senku's reaction to Gen and Magma's sudden disappearance was a brief moment of worry, followed by some unexpected annoyance (that he didn't bother to understand because there was no time for that), before concluding that the mentalist probably followed Magma to stop him from getting into (too much) trouble.
So, once they are safe and returning home he doesn't miss the chance to tease him about it.
🧪, snickering: Oh yeah, nice try at babysitting Magma, mentalist.
🃏: Har har, very funny, Senku-chan. I wasn't even planning on doing that, mind you. I just had the bad luck of seeing him acting suspiciously and he ended up hitting me on the head and taking me with him.
🧪: He did what?
🃏: Right? I don't even know why I ended up helping him later!
🌋, overhearing their conversation: Oh yeah, that was fun! I can see why you keep him around. I wouldn't mind having him as a sidekick when I become chief.
