These Dystopian Days
No, not a film set – a bucket-wheel coal excavator, with German police in front defending it from climate protesters (photo by Marius Michusch)
@maggs-is-a-muppet why would you hide this in the tags?
Kinda ironic how a musical about working class people rising up and wanting fair treatment was performed on Broadway with ticket prices averaging $177.
I forgot l forgot I made this blog so long ago people don't know what I play till I got asked recently 😅 So this is me playing Schuyler Sisters from @hamiltonthemusical
What she means: Even though Mimi comes back to life at the end of Rent, it is very common for people with an illness like AIDS to temporarily be nearly dead but come back, only to actually die. Mimi most likely dies after canon within the next few days. And Collins is probably going to die within the next couple months or years. Roger will be able to live if he continues to take his AZT, but it's unlikely that he has insurance, so he probably won't be able to afford it forever, not unless he can change he can get a stable job with a good salary ASAP. Benny was willing to evict his friends on Christmas, so is he above evicting Mark after losing all of his loved ones? Mark will probably end up homeless. Maureen and Joanne could take him in, but the couple would have to work through their clear communication issues. Regardless of what happens, it will just be the three of them. This "family" will only last if they actually put work into it. All of them relied on destiny for so long. It was destiny for Mimi and Roger to meet on the same night as Angel and Collins, and for all of them to become a group that same night on Christmas. But when it comes to love, you have to choose to be there for them, choose to put in the effort to be together. Will the three of them ever be strong enough to do that?
Bezüglich deines Kommentars beim Reblog - findet man die deutsche Wicked-Version denn irgendwo? (Hab die bisher noch nie gesehen)
Hi.
Die Version ist tatsächlich nicht sehr bekannt . Sie war unter anderem mit Willemijn Verkaik (Elsa deutsch +Niederländisch und Elphaba am Broadway und West End)
By logic Hispanic newsies must be homophobic then because spn is homophobic in German.
Oh, my sweet Blush heart - I got curious right now and tried to watch a few scenes of the 1992sies movie in German.
And in the original version of Carrying the banner, there's this moment where Blink sings "I smell money", Crutchy answers with "You smell foul" and Mush comes up to Blink and sings "Met this girl last night."
In the German Carrying the Banner, when Mush comes up to Blink, he sings: "Schön war's letzte Nacht" which can basically be translated to: "Last night was beautiful/nice." And... the fact that he doesn't mention any girl and The Look (TM) he gives Blink make it seem like he's referring to a night he spend with Blink.
And I just needed everyone to know that because now I'm imagining Blush spending nights together, just cuddling and being cute.
