My dog needs help

I'm so sorry to ask for help again, but Panda is really not doing well. Yesterday she stopped eating and had a seizure, we immediately got her to the veterinary clinic. The vet established that she has canine parvovirus, the affects of the virus could be deadly if not treated right. She's getting even weaker, keeps vomiting and still refuses to eat. The treatment is expensive but we already spent all of our emergency money on diagnostics and tests. I'm really afraid to lose her...

So my puppy has suddenly gotten very fucking sick and I need so much help bc rent is also due soon and this was just a very sudden hit.

Hey everyone, for those of you who don’t know, I was rear ended 6 weeks ago and the person totaled my car and broke my leg. They officially totaled my car out and the insurance is covering $18,575 (about $1,000 more than Kelley Blue Book value luckily!) but to pay off the car is $19,720. Thankfully about $700 of it is taken care of, but I’m still short $445. I don’t have family to ask since my grandparents ans my mom and dad both died, and I can’t try to get a new car until this one is paid off, and that means I have to extend the rental and it’s just more and more money being wasted so I’m so extremely stressed trying to figure anything out.

I’m truly so sorry to bother and if it’s possible to get any help I would forever be in gratitude. Life has been an absolute whirlwind of anxiety and stress since mom and dad died and Covid and then this accident. I could even try to pay people back partly this next paycheck and the following one. I am truly sorry to ask for help like this I just don’t know what to do. I called my adjustor to ask about subrogation which someone was nice enough to explain to me but that can take a very long time apparently, and I didn’t have Gap Insurance to cover the difference. This whole accident has been a nightmare, but I’m truly thankful I only walked away with a broken leg, I know it could have been much much worse.

I am now hoping maybe tumblr can be so wonderful again and help with something that's a little more selfish but... I was recently pregnant and had a miscarriage. Thanks to the resulting hospital bills, my husband and I are struggling to come up with money for our extremely delayed honeymoon (thank you covid for that one).

So essentially everything kinda sucks right now. But if you want to send us $5 to help us get a rental car or tickets to Disneyland or something, that'd be so sweet.

Ollie turns a whole year old this month. He has been quite an adventure--he could not be more different from Chantey.

I'm excited to say that, at a whole 1yr old, Ollie is finally down to maybe 2 accidents a week. So he's ALMOST potty trained. He has been... a challenge in that regard, but he has recently learned that he can tell us when he needs to potty and we will take him outside immediately. So yay!

His trainer has been out of town fighting fires, but recently got back. Thank goodness, as Ollie is pretty shy and has been trying to bite people. With... not much warning. There's no teeth baring, no growling, no defensive stance. The only reason we even know it is coming is because he tried to get our little old neighbor, tried to get the handyman, and tried to get my FIL. And recently, tried to get a high schooler who didn't listen when we said "Do not try to pet, stay back". Ollie did actually succeed in putting a hole in the back of the kids shorts 😬 so he nearly got him on the behind.

Anyways trainer is putting together a desensitization routine. We're going to be getting Ollie a backpack and training him to relate the backpack to "work", as well as some blinders to help him focus on me/the trainer. We're still looking for his dream snack--the ultimate end all be all treat he'll do anything for.

Ollie also will be getting a muzzle to prevent any further snapping attempts in the meantime. I don't know why I didn't think of that...

Scarlett Johansson is suing Disney over a Black Widow contract breach after the movie was released day and date on Disney Plus. This is despite Johansson’s contract reportedly assuring her that the movie would be released exclusively in theaters.

This news comes by way of The Wall Street Journal, which reports a large part of Johansson’s salary was based on the movie’s box office performance in theaters. Because the movie was released to Disney Plus sources familiar with the lawsuit say the move to streaming cost Johansson more than $50 million.

Despite the fancy survey, changes to the UI and TOS reveal we’re getting the service in the future whether we want it or not. Obviously, Post+ is a terrible idea that is trying to bank revenue on user content. Unlike patreon or onlyfans, tumblr’s primary focus is on FAN content. The legality of this is NOT in the users favor and as the new tumblr TOS states, said users will be entirely liable for whatever legal matters arise.

SO WHAT ARE WE DOING?

Besides filling out the survey, it’s time to show tumblr we mean business and show our displeasure by hitting them where it hurts.
