Getting a call from Hailey had scared you even before sheâd spoken.
âHeâs fine.â Hailey reassured you, before she paused. âMostly.â
Hailey explained as much as she could, about how Jay had lost someone right in front of him. He was fine physically, but Hailey was a little worried about how he was coping.
âThanks for calling.â You thanked her, putting down the phone and running straight for the district.
You found Jay in the pantry of the bullpen, sitting on the couch and staring straight ahead, so lost in his thoughts and emotions he hadnât heard you come in.
âHey.â You greeted him quietly, alerting Jay of your presence before you sat down.
âY/N.â Jay was surprised to see you and he smiled but you could see the glint of sadness that was threatening to engulf him.
âJay.â You breathed, reaching out to him. âItâs okay. Iâm here, Iâm right here.â
That was all it took. Jay let out an exhale, letting go of his emotions with the air. You felt his body grow slightly limp and still standing, you put your arms around him, letting him lay his head on your chest.
âItâs okay, baby. Itâs okay.â
Jay let out a little whine, which you knew he only did when the two of you were alone. You knew how bad it was if he was behaving like this in the district, when anyone could walk in on the both of you.
âI know. I know.â You whispered, pressing your lips to the top of his head. âItâs okay.â
You stood there, cradling Jay close to you as he clung onto you, until he was calmed down and he looked up.
âSorry.â
You smiled and ran your fingers through his hair. âWhat is it you always tell me?â You paused. âYou have nothing to be sorry for.â
Jay smiled. âIâll always be here.â You reassured him and Jay just reached for your hand.
Antonio kissing headcanons, please. How he likes to kiss his girlfriend / loved one? đ
yes yes yes i love this one!!!
ââ
â„ antonio literally couldnt care less about where you are or when if we wants to kiss you he will, pda is not definitely not a problem for him
â„ very big on forehead kisses! especially when hes in a rush but doesnt want to leave without kissing you goodbye
â„ speaking of leaving without a kiss, it basically never happens because if he remembers he always makes sure he kisses you before he leaves because if his job taught him one thing its that time and people are precious!
â„ when hes not in a rush though he always holds the back of your head to either comfort you or deepen the kiss
â„ he always cups your face with one hand or both, whatever he can to feel closer to you
â„ when hes drunk his lips are basically always on you, whether hes kissing your lips, your neck, your shoulders, your cheek or literally wherever he can reach until he can get you alone

HALSTEAD!SISTER MASTERLIST
You sat in the childhood home youâd grown up in, the sounds of your father berating you about just another of your choices that he didnât agree with in the background.
This wasnât new. All your life, youâd struggled with it. Logically, you knew what kind of person your father was â he was hard on all of you, but you were sure he cared about the three of you in his own way. Of course, it was much easier to convince yourself when he wasnât berating you.
âA writer? Of all things?â Your fatherâs voice broke through your consciousness harshly. âI told you to do something useful with your life, do you really expect me to feed you for the rest of it?â
You sighed internally. You remembered better days, and maybe if your mother had still been around, Pat Halstead might not have been as cranky as he was now.
You looked up, trying to count the beams on the roof, one of the ways youâd learned to cope when your father got on your case. âY/N Halstead, are you listening to me?â

KELLY SEVERIDE MASTERLIST
âY/L/N, youâre with me. Letâs go.â Casey barked.
The flames were getting higher, reaching out through the windows and there wasnât an accurate count of how many people were actually inside.
You nodded at your captain, glancing at Kelly and giving him a thumbs-up, before you entered after Casey.
âFire Department, call out!â
You navigated your way through the house, already lit up with flames. âYou have three minutes.â Chiefâs voice crackled over the radio.
You nodded to no one in particular. âCasey, Iâll make one round in the kitchen!â
Casey nodded at you. âIf itâs clear, make your way out! Iâll clear the rest of the main room.â
You headed towards the kitchen, your eyes falling on the butane canisters lying on the kitchen floor. âCasey, I got butane canisters here, get out now!â You yelled, turning back towards where you came from. You felt the blast hit you from behind as you flew, landing a few feet away, as you groaned.
âY/L/N!â Casey yelled, heading straight for you, as you lay sprawled on the floor.
You felt two hands haul you off the floor amidst your protests that you were okay as they helped you out.
Your head was still ringing a little when you felt the cool air against your face, flinching as there was another blast from within the house.
âY/N!â Kelly ran straight to you as he rounded the house, coming back to the front after he and Cruz had exited from the back. He tore off his helmet and Casey nodded, letting Kelly take his place to lead you to the ambo.
Sylvie had given you a once-over, and other than a dull ache in your chest you felt fine. Even so, everyone had insisted on getting you to Med to get checked out. You had rolled your eyes but had climbed into the ambo anyway, Kelly following you in.
Now, you were seated in one of the treatment rooms after Connor had sent you for a scan, âjust to be safeâ. Connor opened the door and you didnât like the look on his face.
Kelly stood warily, taking your hand in his and squeezing it.
âWe found an aortic aneurysm.â Connor said, looking up. He put his hands up when he saw the expression on you and Kellyâs face. âLook, it hasnât burst, this is a⊠good thing.â
âA good thing is not having an aortic aneurysm.â You commented snidely.
Connor gave you a small smile. âWe can do this procedure, Y/N.â Connor explained step by step what the surgery entailed. âIf all goes well, youâll be back in action within a few weeks.â
You looked up at Kelly and he smiled back down at you.
âWe caught this early, Y/N. Thatâs rare.â Connor reassured you.
You nodded.
âIâll get an OR ready and weâll do it today, alright?â Connor said, before he left the room.
Kelly didnât leave, staying in the waiting room the moment Connor brought you in for surgery.
Before the surgery was over, 51 stopped by, Casey squeezing Kellyâs shoulder as he sat next to his best friend. âY/N is a fighter, sheâll be fine.â
Kelly nodded. âI know but IâŠâ
Casey nodded. âI know.â He whispered.
The door opened and Connor stepped out, pulling off his surgical cap. âSeveride, everything went well, no complications. Weâre sending her to recovery now and you can go see her in a while, alright? April will come get you.â
It was a mere ten minutes later when April came by to take Kelly to you.
The door swung open and he was glad to see you were already awake. Kelly moved to your side, kissing you gently on your forehead. âHey.â
You smiled up at him.
âI know I shouldnât say Iâm glad today happened.â Kelly whispered. âBut Iâm a little glad.â
You smiled.
âYeah, I guess. Maybe Iâll be more glad when everything stops hurting.â You mumbled.
Kelly smiled, chuckling a little before he pressed another kiss to your temple. âBlessings, Y/N, blessings.â
You smiled, your hand still entwined tightly in his.

Summary: When the air conditioning in the apartment goes out, Y/N drags Connor down to the beach to have some fun on their day off
Warnings: mentions of drugs and illnesses
Word Count: 1,277 Words
"Babe? What are you doing?" Connor asked as he entered our apartment to find me walking around in my underwear.
"What are you talking about?" I question.
"You're close to naked and all of the blinds are open," Connor answered. "People can probably see you."
"I could care less," I counter. "It's like 100 degrees outside and the air conditioning in the building is not working, so I'm sweating like crazy!"
Connor chuckled as he slipped off his shoes. "Well when did the landlord say someone would be by to fix it?"
"Not until tonight," I reply. "I cannot deal with this heat for that long! It's official. I'm gonna die."
"As a doctor, you should know that you won't die until your core temperature reaches about 104 degrees," Connor informed me and stepped forward, placing a hand against my forehead. "And right now I'd say you're at a solid 98."
I swatted his hand away. "Connor, I'm serious! It's too hot in here!"
"Well there's not much I can do about that," Connor spoke as he went to go stand in front of the box fan I had placed on the kitchen island. I could see a sense of relief wash over his face as the cold air hit him. And that's when I got an idea.
"Hey Connor? Do you think we could go to the beach today? We don't have another shift until tomorrow, and I really need to get out of the apartment," I tell him.
"You just want to see me shirtless, don't you?" Connor quizzed with a small smile on his face.
"That may be a contributing factor," I confess. "So can we go? Please!"
"How can I resist that face? And you know what? The beach sounds like a great idea," Connor admitted.
"Yes!" I cheer. "You're the best! I'm gonna go change into my bathing suit. Could you pack up the sunscreen and towels?"
"Yeah," Connor responded. "Go ahead and get ready."
I nodded and made my way into the bedroom where I began digging through the dresser. Since ED doctors didn't get much time off, I didn't get a lot of opportunities to go swimming. Therefore, my bathing suit was all the way at the back of the drawer. I snagged the strap of the top and tugged it free, grabbing the bottoms seconds later. After that, I changed into the bikini and through a summer dress on over it. Lastly, I slipped on my flip flops and joined Connor in the living room. He had a beach bag packed with sunscreen, towels, water, and snacks sitting near the front door, and he was just throwing a shirt over his head as I entered the room.
"How did you get dressed and pack a bag quicker than I could put on my bathing suit?" I implore.
Connor shrugged. "I've got many skills."
"Yeah yeah," I mutter. "You ready to go?"
"Yep. I'm all set. Lets go," Connor said and grabbed his keys from the tray in the front hallway. I scooped up the beach bag on the way out of the apartment, and together Connor and I made our way towards his car.
Since Chicago sat right on the edge of Lake Michigan, it didn't take us long to get to a beach. I mean, practically the whole west border of Chicago was filled with small, sandy areas that came into contact with the water. Connor parked the car in one of the many parking lots near the lake, and the two of grabbed our things before heading down to the beach. The breeze that wafted through the air cooled my body down almost immediately, and I could tell it did the same for Connor. Once we got to the sand, we picked a spot and set our things down, and then started putting on some sunscreen.
"You need some help over there?" I ask when I noticed that Connor was having a bit of trouble applying the sunscreen to his back.
"Please," Connor replied. I laughed and shook my head softly, rubbing the lotion into the bare skin of Connor's back. As soon as I had helped him, Connor offered to help me, and in a minute or two, both of us were protected from the sun's harsh rays.
"To the water we go!" I chirp. However, before I could even begin walking, Connor scooped me up in his arms, leaving me unable to get free. "Connor! What are you doing?" Instead of answering, Connor started the short trek from the sand to the water, and I had a feeling of where this was going. I tried to wiggle out of Connor's arms, but his grasp on me was too strong. And before I knew it, I was being dumped into the freezing cold water of Lake Michigan. I was only under the water for a few seconds before I resurfaced, spitting some extra water out of my mouth. "Connor!"
"What? You said you wanted to go in the water," Connor exclaimed, a small smile prying at his lips.
"Yeah? You're looking a bit too dry, Connor," I retort. With that, I grabbed Connor's hand, and with one good yank, he fell into the water next to me. Seconds later, he came up for air, pushing his wet hair out of his face.
"I'm gonna get you for that," Connor commented. I laughed and splashed water towards Connor, hitting him square in the face, and that's when I knew I was in trouble. "Oh, it's on." Connor sent a huge wave of water my way, and I squealed and attempted to dodge it, but I wasn't quick enough. The water splashed against my arm, and after that, we started a splashing battle. Connor was pretty quick in the water, and it was harder for me to hit him then it was for him to hit me, but it was fun nonetheless. We stayed in the water for about an hour, and after that, we relaxed on the sand and enjoyed the warmth from the sun.
"I'm glad we did this," I tell Connor and turn to face him. "Thanks for coming with."
"Any time I get to spend with my amazing girlfriend is worth it," Connor spoke. "And hey, what do you say to getting ice cream after this?"
"You know I'm always down for dessert," I declare. "What do you want to do in the mean time?"
"I don't think we ever talked about what happened during our last shift. I could tell you about the patients I treated up in the cardio wing and you can tell me about the craziness that happened in the ED," Connor offered.
I smiled. "Sounds great. I actually had an insane day yesterday. I had a grandpa come in with his grandson, and it turns out, the grandson accidentally gave his grandpa the wrong dose of his medicine, so he was high on painkillers."
Connor laughed. "Are you serious?"
"Yeah," I answer. "When I saw the tox screen I thought the grandpa was a drug addict. But the kid stepped forward right away and said it was all his fault. So what about you?"
"Well," Connor started. As Connor began telling his story about a younger woman he was treating for Pericardial Disease, all I could think about was how great a boyfriend I had. Meeting Connor had changed my life, and I hoped that the two of us would spend the rest of our lives together. But for now, all we could was live one day at a time, and at the moment, I was fine with that.

âNewbie, we need you!â You followed Halstead into a trauma room, a firefighter on his gurney. From first glance you didnât recognise him, but his face was badly burned and that didnât mean much. You heard someone mention his name was Borelli and you could focus, it wasnât anyone youâd left behind when youâd run away from Chicago before.

JAY HALSTEAD MASTERLIST
You put your hand on the door, inhaling before you slid it open.
Jay sat in bed, hooked up to two machines, his eyes trained on the door as if he was expecting you.
You entered the room quietly without saying anything.
Jay watched you as you closed the door before moving to one side of the room, leaning on the wall as you pulled your doctorâs coat around you.
âY/N.â
You could feel Jayâs eyes on you, but you couldnât look up at him. You could still feel the adrenaline pumping through your veins from when they had brought him in, as you and Will stood shoulder to shoulder, two doctors standing helplessly outside Jayâs room as Ethan worked on him.
âHow many lives do you think you have?â You asked quietly, your voice shaking a little.
Jay sighed. âY/N, I donât want to fight, alright?â
You dragged your eyes up to look at him, the tears already blurring your vision.
Jayâs face fell. This wasnât the first time the both of you had talked about him constantly getting hurt but Jay could never continue arguing when he noticed how broken you looked.
He extended an arm towards you.
You glared at him but pushed yourself off the wall and put your hand in his anyway, moving so that you were now standing over him at his bedside.
âIâm not asking you to quit. I would never.â You said, looking at him. âBut will you stop coming in to the ED as a patient, please? I donât know how much more scares Will and I can take.â
Jay reached up to wipe away a stray tear that had rolled down your cheek. âIâll be more careful.â He assured you.
âSo you said.â You retorted.
Jay took your hand and brought it up to his lips. âWill you get me out of here soon?â
âYou know for someone who hates hospitalsâŠâ
Jay made a face and you finally cracked a smile, leaning in to give him a kiss.
âForgiven?â He asked.
You mock glared at him but leaned forward, letting your fingers run through his hair. âYouâre not invincible, please remember that.â
Jay smiled, cupping your face gently as he pulled you in for another kiss.

WILL HALSTEAD MASTERLIST
You leaned forward to give Will a kiss as you reached the hospital, your hand firmly entwined in his, the way you liked it.
âWe have drinks with Jay tonight, donât forget.â He reminded you.
Youâd been seeing Will for a while, and other than occasional glimpses of his detective brother breezing through the hallways of Med or a passing greeting, this was the first time you were going to be officially meeting Jay. There was no way youâd forgotten.
âI could never.â You responded, pulling away slightly, in mock shock.
Will chuckled, planting a kiss on your forehead. âIâll see you after work.â
Summary: With the help of his friends Adam makes your anniversary a very memorable one.
Warnings: none
It was yours and Adamâs 3 year anniversary and you knew he was planning something big. He had been nervous for weeks on end. He had insisted that you go round to Kimâs so that her and Hailey could help get you ready. So thatâs where you were, sat in Kimâs living room. Kim was sat in front of you painting your nails and Hailey was behind you, styling your hair. You had told the two of them that you were perfectly capable of doing it yourself, but they refused to let you.
âOkay, so do the two of you know what Adamâs up to?â You questioned.
âNopeâ Kim said.
At the same time Hailey said, âNot a clue.â
âYou know for cops, the both of you are awful liars.â You huffed.
~
A little while later your hair, makeup and all that jazz was done. Kim had left the room and retuned with a box. She passed it to you with a smile. Opening the box, you saw the red scalloped fit and flare mini dress that you had been eyeing up in the shop window for the past couple of weeks.
âAdam gave us the money to go and get it for you.â Hailey said, gesturing to Kim and herself.
~
You walked out into Kimâs living room, your outfit for the night now fully complete. You paired the dress with a pair of black heels, gold hopped earrings and a black clutch bag. Giving a little twirl to show off, you noticed Kevin now in the room. Furrowing your brows at the sight of him, he was wearing a suit with a driver hat.
âYou good Kev?â You asked, giving him a slight nod.
âYour carriage awaits, mâlady.â He said in a British accent, offering you his arm.
Laughing slightly, you took hold of his arm. Kevin let out outside to a black car, one of the ones you guys usually use for work. Opening the back door, he motioned for you to get in. Once in the car, you looked up to see someone sat in the drivers seat, dressed the same as Kevin.
âSarge, is that you.â You asked, leaning forward slightly.
âYou speak a word of this to no one.â He said, smiling at you slightly though the rear view mirror.
You mumbled a âyes sirâ as Kevin got in the passenger side.
~
You had reached your destination and was greeted by Kevin opening your door. Stepping out the car you saw a small area set up with a table and fairy lights hanging from surrounding trees, which surprisingly lit up the area very well. Kevin escorted you over to the decorated area, where Adam stood with his back to you. Letting go of Kevinâs arm, you looked up at him and mouthed âthank youâ.
âThis is beautiful Adam.â You said with a soft voice.
Adam immediately turned around at the sound of your voice. Walking towards you he smiled, taking in just how stunning you look. He gently placed his hands on your waist, your hands going to his arms. Adam leaned down, placing a chaste kiss on your lips.
âHappy anniversary babe. I wish I could take credit for all of this, but I did have some help.â He said with a slight laugh.
âYeah, Iâve noticed.â You laughed back, as Adam led you to the table.
The both of you took at seat at the table and you couldnât help but notice how fidgety Adam was. Before you got a chance to ask him what was bothering him, Antonio came over with two wine glasses and a bottle of wine. Antonio poured the wine and took a step back, smiling at the two of you.
âYour waiter will be out shortly with your food. Enjoy.â And with that he walked off.
âIs this why everyone has been so secretive for the past week?â You asked, taking a sip of your wine.
âMaybe.â Adam replied with a smirk.
The two of you made small talk for a few minutes before Jay came over with two plates of (Y/F/F). The both of you thanking him before he left the two of you to eat.
âYou really did go all out.â You laughed, digging into your meal.
~
Once you had both finished eating, you sat and talked for while about everything and nothing. You noticed that the soft music that was playing in the background had gotten slightly louder. Adam got up out of his seat and walked round to you.
âMay I have this dance?â He asked, holding his hand out for you.
Giggling, you took hold of his hand. Guiding you away from the table Adam placed his arms around your waist, pulling you close to him. Your hands found themselves clasped together around the back of his neck. The two of you swayed to the music silently, just enjoying each otherâs company. Adam spun you round and when you faced him again he was down on one knee. You froze, waiting for him to say something.
âY/N, the past three years have been the best years of my life and thatâs all because of you. Youâve saved my life, literally and figuratively and I canât imagine a life without you in it.â Pausing for a second, Adam pulled a small velvet box out of his pocket. Inside was the most beautiful ring you had ever seen. âI love you so much Y/N. So darlinâ will you become my wife? Will you marry me?â
You were crying, nodding your head yes. You laughed out a âyesâ. Adam stood up, picking you up with him. Spinning the two of you round, Adam placed his lips on yours, giving you a passionate kiss. Placing you back down, Adam took the ring out of the box and placed it on your finger. The sound of clapping and cheering came from behind you. Turing around you saw your friend, who had helped to make this evening amazing
linking hands together during sex prompt with Kelly severide?
Ah I like this! Youâre all fans of Soft!Kelly, arenât you? Iâm loving it. Under a cut for...well obvious reasons. Itâs longer than most of these, and I can totally see this becoming a full length oneshot if anyone wants it.
You were so nervous for this date. You shouldnât have been, but the butterflies in your stomach wouldnât stop. You and Kelly had been friends since youâd started working at 51, youâd been sleeping together for six months when youâd realised youâd started feeling more than just friendship and good sex for him. So you ended things. And a week later heâd turned up at your door to ask you out on a date because heâd started falling for you.
You fixed your dress as the doorbell rang, and picked up your leather jacket. You knew you looked good, but you wanted to look like you belonged on his arm. He leaned in to kiss you at the door, handing over flowers for you. Once they were in water you walked out hand in hand.Â
Kelly was a perfect gentleman, opening the car door for you and even pulling out your chair in the restaurant. It was fancier than either of you normally would have gone for, but he wanted to treat you for your first real date. You attempted to pay, but he refused point blank.
After dinner and a walk along the riverfront he drove you home, walking you to your apartment door. You didnât want the night to end, and when he leaned down and kissed you it felt perfect. Kellyâs arms went around you, and you wrapped yours around his neck, standing on your tiptoes to reach up fully. You separated for air, Kelly pressing his forehead to yours.
âI...should go,â he murmured, and you shook your head.
âWeâve already slept together, Kelly. Weâre already friends. This is just mixing it together.â You pulled your keys out of your bag to open the door, and Kelly lifted you up once you were inside, kicking the door shut behind you.Â
He pulled your dress off, eyes darkening at the lingerie youâd chosen for the evening. But you were both too needy to wait. It had been almost two weeks since youâd had each other, and all you wanted was Kelly in you, surrounding you. He carried you to your bed, shucking off his jeans and shoes as you pulled his shirt off, baring both of you to each other.
The sex youâd had before was always good, normally hard and fast. This time it was slow, you sitting in Kellyâs lap as he entered you. He held your hands in his, his calloused ones swallowing yours as he pressed against you, giving you leverage to move. He moved one away to play with your clit, bringing you closer and closer to your orgasm until the coil in your stomach burst, bringin him over the edge with you.
Before, after youâd come down from the afterglow he would always clean up and leave. Staying the night was strictly forbidden. This time though, he pulled you close to sleep beside you. You pressed a soft kiss to the scar on his chest as he kissed your forehead, both of you falling into a peaceful sleep.
