Might I make a humble request, find out what kind of community organizations exist in your community, are there food banks, transit/cycling advocacy groups, a dsa chapter, a protest group for a cause you support, a strong towns chapter, any sort of thing like that. Find it and attend a meeting or volunteer there, things get better because you work to improve them and if nothing else it gives you a reason to get out of the house and talk to people

This piece was inspired by my favorite WIP and one of my all-time favorite authors - Cream by @ao3animal.  She writes quirky stories with deep mysteries and nuanced characters that I never fail to be completely obsessed with. And I absolutely live for every time Benjamin gets to lay his head in Rey’s lap so she can pet his hair. It’s so SO good!
