Felicity made a small humming noise, tilting her head in the other direction. “I guess I can see it.” She stated finally, then took a seat in the chair the boy’s feet had just vacated. “Yes, I’m in the best bakery on the West Coast. But you’re in my seat in the best bakery on the West Coast.” The girl smirked lightly. “But I’ll forgive if you buy me one of those cupcakes you’re talking about.”

He couldn’t help but laugh. Her seat? Now that was funny. “Excuse me? If this is anyone’s seat, it’s mine, sweetheart.” With a smile, he shook his head, leaning over to point to the “bash x colby’s corner” carving on the edge of the table. “See that? Got in real big trouble for that one. Twice.” He laughed again. “Once from her dad, who definitely was not pleased, and then again by the cop he called. Actually, I believe my mother had some choice words for me when I got home that day, too, but Dad just thought it was funny--he got in trouble, too, just for that. Anyway,” he continued, leaning back in his chair, “had to take a four year break from the corner, but I certainly don’t mind sharing. You’ve been sitting here since I was away?”

brielle’s eyes had fallen on the male making shadows on the wall beside him ages ago. she found people watching entertaining, especially when they were doing something that seemed out of place in such a public setting. she decided to approach him, “what is it? i couldn’t tell from over there,” she told him, motioning to her barstool. “the only one i can do is a bunny and a mediocre dog.”

Sebastian glanced over his shoulder to see who had come over to his corner. Lowering his hands, he chuckled and answered, “A dinosaur... sort of. I’m still working on it. Let’s see that bunny of yours.”

“that’s great, but you’re starting to scare the customers,” she explained, leaning in quietly near his ear before gently knocking his legs off of the chair they’d been propped upon. with one mug of coffee within her grasp and one peppermint hot chocolate, she took a seat opposite the male and slid his favorite towards him. “figured you might like something hot as well as some company.”

He grumbled and pouted when his feet were removed from the chair, adjusting his position in his own seat to make himself comfortable again. However, when the hot chocolate was offered, all negativity dispersed, and a grin found its rightful place on his lips. “It’s like you know me or something,” he teased. He lifted the mug immediately and took a sip. The chocolate was definitely hot, and he hid his grimace as best he could. Patience was never Sebastian’s strong suit.

Rylynn spotted a bakery and figured she would stop in, grab a pastry and coffee. So she stepped in and walked up tp the counter. She asked for her medium coffee and an apple strudel. Rylynn handed the cashier her money and stepped aside to wait for her items, when she heard a guy telling her not to block the light. “Sorry about that. Looks awesome, good job.” She smiled as she apologized and stepped out of the way.

“Thank you,” Sebastian replied wholeheartedly. “At least someone appreciates my artistic abilities.” He took in her uniform and hummed. He knew practically everyone on the force after growing up here and getting into so much trouble when he was younger. “How long have you been here?” he asked. She must have arrived while he was away.

It was way too early and the sun was way too bright. And just to make Felicity’s sour mood worse, she walked in to Middleton’s to find her seat taken. While she had only really been to Middleton twice, seeing someone else sitting where she sat both times still rubbed her the wrong way. She strode up to the male to give him a piece of her mind when she realized what he was doing and stopped short. She furrowed her brow, tilting her head far to the side. “What the hell is that?”

Sebastian rolled his eyes and twisted his head to look at the girl. “It’s a dinosaur. Duh.” Dropping his feet from the chair, he moved to fully face his unamused random companion and laughed. “What’s your issue? You’re in the best bakery on the West Coast. Eat a cupcake and loosen up.”

Sebastian sat in the corner of Middleton’s, a stack of fresh pastries on the table in front of him and his feet propped on the other chair. With a light perfectly aimed at the wall nearby, he’d been keeping himself entertained with shadow puppets. It wasn’t very easy keeping busy with no job, no school, and all this unexpected snow. “Hey! I’ve been practicing this one all day. Don’t block the light.”

Sebastian hummed, taking in Daniel’s comment and mulling it over. He was faced the opposite direction with a bow and arrow in his hand. He’d never tried archery before, but it sounded like a hell of a lot of fun, and he didn’t have anything productive to do, so... “You think?” he questioned, looking back at the older man before releasing the arrow.

“ if you ask me, ” he says, balancing PRECARIOUSLY on the back legs of his chair ( negligent of consequences, you’d think he’d be more cautious than risk-taking ). the BONES of his teeth pinch free the inside of a sunflower seed, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a shell caught between the CURLS of his grown facial hair. “ indefinite space means indefinite possibilities. have you ever wondered how many universes you might exist in? ”

LATE TO THE PARTY, as per usual. 😂

Anyway, hello!! I'm Alissa/Ali, and this is my sweetheart Sebastian! I'm sooooo pumped to get back to this rp and plot with so many new amazing characters. Rather than ramble on (bc I can certainly ramble), I'll go ahead and tell you a bit about Seb.

Sebastian James Ford is THE All-American Boy. He's a descendant of Henry Ford, and his family takes great pride in that fact. The Fords are a patriotic, religious, conservative family, and Sebastian isn't much different.

He's basically from Granite Bay, but he lived on an Air Force base the first two years of his life. Then, of course, he enlisted in the Air Force straight out of high school. He spent a year or so at a base in Seattle and then went abroad to Germany for three years.

He just got back home recently (let's say a couple weeks ago), but he hasn't told anyone that he plans to get his training to become an officer in the Air Force as a pilot.

While he was overseas, he really grew in his faith, reading his bible every morning and figuring out his own beliefs.

Sebastian is a very impulsive guy, but when he decides on doing something, he's incredibly organized with his time and precisely on time.

his charming smile ( foreign yet painstakingly familiar ) had all but hit her like a ton of bricks. after all, it’d been ages since she’d been on the receiving end of his pearly whites — least of all in person — and colby couldn’t help but be even the slightest bit nostalgic no matter how much time had past and her heart had healed. “you’d like that, wouldn’t you? fortunately, my days of pining after you are long behind me like a starry-eyed schoolgirl, don’t you worry,” she replied lightheartedly, the same dimples he had used to joke about sticking pennies in leaving their indentations upon her rosy cheeks. she refrained, however, from complaining about the nickname, her cheeks further coloring at the trails of flour left upon his fingertips. “i might’ve had i known you were coming home today. but as nice as some notice would’ve been…i’m glad you’re home,” she admitted, continuing with a small tilt of her head, “now, do i least get a hug, soldier?”

The young man hummed, eyebrows raised, as if questioning her response to his teasing, but he said no more on the subject. He still had to test the waters with her, something so ridiculous to consider when he had known her so well for years. He had to figure out how to act around her now that they were friends again. One thing he did not need to question was pulling her into his arms before the question ever fully left her lips. “It’s really good to see you, Colby,” he said, hugging her for as long as she’d let him. He could not get enough hugs from his friends and family now that he was home. He needed them as much as they seemed to need them. For a moment, he allowed himself to drift back to high school, holding his girlfriend and whispering the silliest things into her ear to make her laugh. Then he had to come back to reality. There was not much time for dreaming these days.

Celeste began to laugh with him. “Okay So i might have stretched the truth a little.” she said covering for herself. She decided to change topics the familiar face that has graced the bakery for the first time in years .“Anyway, how have you been? I see you found your way home okay.”

The freshly returned soldier shrugged, thinking back on his last few days and the years of service before then. “I’ve been good. Healthy enough. Well, until the earthquake.” His lips quirked into a smile. “I did. Didn’t get lost for even a second. How about you? You’re bigger than I remember--taller, I mean.”

“I could go get one of the nurses to check and see if your sister is a patient here or if anybody has been asking for you if you’d like?” Caitlin asked as she glanced around the room to see if any of the nurses were free. “Can I least take you up to get some X-Rays done? I’m worried that with the amount of pain you’re in that it could be something internal.” 

He nodded, growing frustrated, but he knew the doctor could not be blamed; she was only doing her job. “Sure, yeah. X-rays? If it’s necessary, I guess, but it’s really not bad. I’ve just got a few gashes. Still alive and breathing, right?” he said. Normally he wouldn’t be so argumentative, least of all with a doctor, but something had him questioning everything and everyone today. He couldn’t understand it, but he had a feeling his dad would know all too well how he was feeling.

with arms full of tupperware bins filled to the brim with cookies, a grin rested on her face. “ in spite of the whole earthquake and everything else going on, i made great great grammy gardner’s special chocolate chip cookies— and a lot of them too, just in hopes to cheer everyone up. so, please..take as much as you’d like.”

Sebastian was already reaching for an entire bin of the cookies as he replied, “Well, I mean, if you insist.” He could not forget Great Great Grammy Gardner’s special chocolate chip cookies even if he tried. They were his absolute favorite cookie, and that was saying something when he had dated the daughter of a baker.

With a broom in her hand, Celeste moved around the bakery cleaning up broken glass and ceramic debris while singing quite dramatically Castle On A Cloud. When she looked up she noticed she had captured some attention. “I’m not always like this just so you know.“

After being released from the hospital and then spending the next few days in his bed to heal, Sebastian was finally granted permission to leave the house. He planned to use his first visits with his old friends from school and perhaps check back with the British girl he’d run into when he first arrived back. Sebastian’s feet led him to neither place. Instead, he found himself outside Middleton’s, and he couldn’t pretend he did’t understand why he had gone there first. He supposed it was still instinct from before he left for duty, when he would spend his days with Colby and charm his way into getting samples at the bakery. From what he could tell, Colby wasn’t here, but as he walked through the door, bell chiming, he spotted the youngest Middleton cleaning up and putting on quite the show. He laughed. “Oh, really?” he said, grinning and leaning over the counter. “After three years, I couldn’t be sure.”

“You don’t look okay” Caitlin said, her brow furrowing in concern as she saw how much pain he was in “ I-uh don’t know who Aggie is but I can go to the waiting room and see if your family is in there?” she asked while trying to make out the illegible scrawl on his chart “Has any other doctor been in to check on you?”

“I’m fine. I just need to know where my baby sister is,” Sebastian insisted. He had covered the toddler with his body to protect her from the damage he had suffered, and he was sure she had escaped the earthquake without a scratch. However, now that she wasn’t with him, and his father wasn’t in the room, he worried for them both. He worried for his entire family. “I don’t know. I don’t think so.”

Caitlin’s hand hadn’t stopped throbbing since she had cut it and she couldn’t shake the overwhelming sense of dread that she could be getting sick. She breathed in deeply and did what she always did, got back to work. Caitlin looked around at the chaos of the emergency room, there were doctors and nurses running around everywhere but most of the patients looked like they were being taken of, expect for one person who was lying on a bed in a corner. Caitlin walked over and grabbed their chart from the end of the bed. “Hi I’m Dr. Andrews, how are you feeling?” 

Sebastian was groggy, having just woken up from evidently falling asleep again. He had been in and out of sleep since his father brought him into the hospital, and he hadn’t yet managed to stay awake long enough to have a conversation with anyone. “Hey,” he said, clearing his throat and subsequently groaning due to pain emerging from multiple locations. He looked around, as if trying to find something. “I’m, uh-- I’m fine. I’ll be okay. Where is Aggie? Is Aggie safe? Is she--” He coughed and winced. “Is she with my dad?” What a way to be welcomed home.
