New bag, who dis? 😎
This one made from red super skinny jeans and bootcut denim- both from H&M circa 2006. I had to make the panels narrower because of the skinny jeans. Getting all the measurements right were really tough, so it took some adjustments, but this might be one of my favorite projects yet. ❤️💙❤️

I made another bag! I used 3 of my old pants and now have 3 new pairs of shorts and a new tote bag! I’ve been focusing more time on measuring and cutting- making sure everything is precise and even. The more I use the machine, the more polished I’ll get. 😅

My new tote bag! My first project using a sewing machine. How much would this retail for?

This was also just a regular ol’ boring ol’ plain-ass tee-shirt, and now its a super-cute, ultra-fabulous, ready-for-the-summer-2016 tank!

This shirt belonged to my late Opa. I didn’t ever see him wear this, nor do I know the origin of it. But I had it tailored to fit me a little better (he was an XXL), and I’ll think of him each time I wear it now.

This was probably my least favorite of my new tanks, but when I put it on with the black skinnies, it just seemed to work. Do I look like a cheap gay hooker? Maybe... But it works!!

I’m a short-sleeved collared shirt kind of guy. Paired with some skinnies, this is my go-to look these days. The shirt pictured was actually two to begin with. A strong collar is a nice addition to any outfit.

What do you do when you have too many t-shirts? Make them into tanks!

I love me a good cardigan. I had this nice quality charcoal thick knit sweater, but I never really wore it. It needed a bit of spice. So I took my favorite pair of jeans (the ‘09 - ‘11 version, the “Drain” style from H&M) and made the pant legs into arms. This is not easy to do, especially sewing denim, and especially by hand. Luckily, this was my week off between jobs in summer of 2014. It took me about 16 hours altogether.

My brother has a lot of shirts. He gave me a few of his graphic tees and asked me to make them interesting. I really liked this orange and charcoal together, and haven’t really seen a bicolor shirt split diagonally. I’m not sure how often my brother wears this, but I’m pretty sure its gotten him plenty of dates with many beautiful women.

Two shirts from Urban Outfitters. Both were given to me as Birthday gifts on different birthdays by official BFF Ashley. The striped shirt wraps around the green shirt in the front. Instead of sewing on the seams like one would normally do, I had to sew the edges very carefully.

Another acrylic paint situation. This shirt is symbolic of the way most of us are controlled by the establishment. Just puppets, marionettes in a big giant capitalist parade. ...Either that or I just thought it was a cute design ;)
(apologies for the bad photo quality)

This is definitely one of my favorite t-shirts. So simple and so easy to make. I remember making this shirt when I was hanging out with my friend Seanny at the University of Maryland. Not quite sure why I carried around acrylic paint with me. It very well may have been scotch tape that I used for this. I outlined the design of the lightning bolt with the tape and painted within the shape. Once it dried, I removed the tape. Acrylic paint doesn’t wash out, but it does crack so you get a cool weathered texture, if that’s what you’re going for.

Not too much to say about this one. Both of these shirts were from Urban Outfitters so I knew they’d match. This isn’t the most original idea, but its fun to custom make a new shirt for yourself sometimes. Sewn by hand.

Martina and I met doing some promotional modeling for a brand called Desigual (just try to pronounce it correctly - I dare you). The pattern you see on the shirt I’m wearing is one of their signature prints. As you can guess, the whole shirt was made of that pattern, but I decided to tone it down a bit. I attached it (by hand) to a plain gray long sleeve cotton jersey shirt. On second though, just the cuffs would’ve probably been enough, but it was a fun project.
Martina is wearing a wool long sleeve sweater from H&M that I got on sale. The only thing different about that is that I cut off the collar. I use it to layer over button-downs. I think it looks great on her though. Who doesn’t love some side-boob?
