Why does my job refuse to understand that you actually need to be trained for some things...

More and more I find myself annoyed/upset about my job. We've acquired some neurosurgeons I'm not very fond of
Hm.
#like tantrum throwers and they enjoy yelling and just making everyone's lives difficult#and even though our service is the fastest growing and one of the most productive we still get treated like dirt🤪

No bc I'm genuinely considering PA school
#like I thought about doing it when I was in my surgical tech program#but I was like- let me finish this first and see how it goes#the main thing that worries me is like patient interaction and stuff like that but I think the comfort with that comes with time & practice#mads speaks

My favorite surgeon taught me how to do a two hand suture tie today and he said he'll teach me one hand ties once I get these down 🥰
And then he told me that if I want to go to PA school or FA school, he will pay for it as long as I come and work for him when I graduate 🥹

Working full time, neuro/spine team lead, and decided to coordinate a side gig with one of our neurosurgeons at the surgery center he's started operating at bc they don't have scrubs who know spine 🤪

It feels so amazing to consistently be recognized by the surgeons I work with, especially my neurosurgeons. I'm actually about to become the neurosurgery team lead. I'm so happy my co-workers talked me into training in neuro/spine at the start of this year bc I fell in love with it 🥺

After a week of CBT and paperwork, I got to be in the OR for the first time since March when my school shut down clinicals! So far I really am enjoying where I work and my co-workers! ☺️
