My students need transportation to a local farm and a mineral museum. My students are limited in many resources at home and at school because of the low-economic area we live in. Many do not often get the chance to travel outside of their neighborhood, or city, and unfortunately all of our field trips this year have been walking ones. But i’m trying to change that. I’ve been tasked to raise money to pay for the busses for both field trips. One to Alsted Farms and the other to the Mineral Museum. At the Alsted Farms, students will learn learn about growing their own food, and get the opportunity to pick strawberries and raspberries! At the Mineral Museum students will learn how minerals and mining affect each of us. I hope both trips will show our youth how beautiful are planet is, and why we must fight so hard to protect it and the people and animals that live on it. Help me make learning a fun and engaging experience. Your help will brighten young minds, open up the world and bring a joy to learning. We are down to the wire and need to raise the money quickly or we will have to unforunately cancel the trips and break many hearts hoping to get out of the classroom during these last few hot weeks.
