HAPPY BIRTHDAY HATTIE !!! it’s that time of year again , the day we celebrate you , which means of course I have an essay due . keeping things simple ; I LOVE YOU . there aren’t words to describe just how much I love you , though of course I’m going to give it a shot - get your tissues ready , I know you’re a secret softie .

who would have thought we’d go from complete strangers , you being far too cool for me - so no change there then - to this . you are much more than just my best friend , my partner ( in crime and other ventures ) , the piece of me I miss when you’re not around . you’re the better half of me and I wouldn’t have it any other way . you make me laugh more than anyone I’ve ever met , you make me cry , you’ve made me realise things about myself I hadn’t even considered before we met , and I can safely say I can’t imagine my life without you . I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have you in my life . I don’t think there’s anyone out there who doesn’t know just how much I love you . you’re incredible , I know you don’t see it but I do ; you’re talented , funny , kind , beautiful and so much more , and I couldn’t be prouder to say we are as close as we are . I hope you know just how blessed I am to love you .

now I’m going to finish this up here , partially to stop me from rambling and ending up an incoherent mess , but also because there is more to come in person ( you know I like to spoil you ) - and please god I don’t want to set a painfully high bar for next year . but the sentiment remains the same ; I love you , more than you know , and I’m looking forward to adopting all our cats and other animals together ; starting with the fish . little ivy and harley junior need a good home .
