AITA? My doctor said I needed a COVID test and had me pee on a stick that he put in his pocket before asking me to leave.

:P I cannot resist doing a woke-oid take:
The question is not, you see, why that lady didn't feel the need to specify there were tits
But rather, why did the artists, by default, assume there were none
you know what really gets my goat?

I love watching early episodes of Futurama; the year 3000, and people still have VHS tapes and floppy disks. Because like, the world at the time only had barely a hint of of the digital tech around today, just 24 years later. So even when the people working on the futuristic sci-fi show were coming up with wacky nonsense, they also used what they were familiar with. Which was VHS tapes and floppy disks. There is some kind of irony in there, and maybe also a weird metaphor too, because I'm nostalgic for a show about a fictional future which also contained many retro references to media that came before it, and as I watched the show over the years, I saw it slowly include more and more "modern" facts of the real future, that was actually the present

Male small mayfly, Baetinae, Baetidae
Male small mayflies in the family Baetidae differ from females in that they have seven eyes rather than five - 3 simple eyes, 2 compound eyes, and 2 turbinate eyes on top of the head. These upward-facing eyes are thought to be used for spotting females during aerial mating.

"this is why we can't have nice things" is a foolish and backwards principle anyway. If something can be easily ruined by a child then it isn't nice at all, it is pitiful and embarrassing. Praise your child for culling the weak.

I so sorry for all the people for who this is a serious and genuine issue but I am starting to feel nauseous when I read the phrase ~"this makes me feel unsafe"~
I can see where it is coming from. No, you cannot always tell 100% what specific action you fear from what specific person at what specific time. In fact, even if on the contrary you rationally KNOW no one is going to physically hurt you in that specific situation, just sensing the hostility/indifference and how it makes you speculate about an even worse situation in the future can hurt all by itself. A diffuse sense of anxiety can be almost as awful as physical harm and keep you from living a normal, healthy life. There was a rightful pushback against the dismissive claim that people were just being "too sensitive".
At the same time, "this makes me feel unsafe" is a case where inclusive/therapeuthic/social justice speak is now being pushed ad absurdum.
"Feeling unsafe" is a serious issue. You are a bad person if you do not take it seriously.
Ergo actual, physical, gruesome, ongoing genocidal violence should better not be protested if the protest makes someone "feel unsafe"
Tens of thousands of children may be butchered in an ongoing massacre, but our top story tonight is that someone is "feeling unsafe"
