Some Arospec ts headcanons

It’s Aro awareness week, I’m aro and I’m free from uni’s responsibilities for a little while so I HAD to do something with my boys for this :D

Logan

Demiromantic

Would mostly label his attraction as alterous most of the time though (since once he makes a connection with someone it’s hard to differentiate where border is)

Romance neutral when he doesn’t feel romantic attraction (even if he does prefer his media to stay clear of unnecessary romantic sub-plots)

Not big on physical contact in any type of relationship

Doesn’t go out of his way to search for romantic partner or QPP but absolutely open to both options

Will absolutely smack down verbally anyone who tries to discredit his identity or any on the spectrum

Roman

Aromantic

Romance positive most of the time

He goes through periods where he feels romance repulsed, which he knows how to cope with since it used to bother him greatly  thanks to support from friends and family

Does want a QPR

He’d be completely fine without one as long as his dear friends and family are around him or within a reasonable distance

Whoever is his QPP is in for a ride because dramatic boy cannot stop doing the cheesiest things his mind will offer him

Virgil

Greyromantic

Romance neutral/positive most times, sometimes feels repulsed

Most of the times repulsion comes in the form of having to avoid any and all types of media that mentions romance on any regard

Always a ride for him when he feels romantic attraction for someone since it’s such an uncommon occurrance

He becomes flustered very easily and his anxiety does not help to make it easier on him

Not really interested in finding any type of mutually exclusive partnership,  he’s perfectly happy and content by himself with his family and friends there to support him

Patton 

Aromantic

Romance repulsed

Has never cared for romance and has always been cool with it (Why would he care when he has such wonderful friends and family in his life?)

Can and Will physically fight anyone who says friendships or QPP can’t be as meaningful as a romantic relationship

Doesn’t really desire a QPR, he’s good with friends and family (and a possible hundred pets in the future)

If you can’t find even a tiny nick of green on his person somewhere you aren’t really looking

Deceit

Demiromantic

Romance neutral

He can figure pretty well when he starts to feel romantic attraction and separate it from other types (he does a lot of introspection)

Will absolutely join Logan when he gets rambling

Would prefer a QPP than a romantic partner (he’s just had better experiences while in QPRs)

Will have a wedding ceremony eventually and somehow use it at the same time as a way to say fuck you to amatonormativity 

Remus

Greyromantic

Romance positive

He enjoys feeling romantic attraction even though it still feels uncomfortable sometimes (because of it being uncommon)

Would love to be in a mutually exclusive relationship of any type, he just enjoys them greatly 

Incredibly out and proud about being in the aro spectrum and he has always loved green so he’s always thought it was the best possible coincidence

He’ll give absolute hell for any and all exclusionists

some alternate headcanons and ideas for your consideration:

blond logan! he always seems to have dark hair in AUs, so let him take the “blonds are dumb” stereotype and annihilate it single-handedly.

pansexual logan, deceit and remus! aromantic patton and roman! it’s possible to have a lot of love to give even if you don’t desire a romantic relationship. likewise, you can still be attracted to many people even if you don’t express much affection.

the creativitwins being pale and virgil being tan. roman and remus staying inside writing/doing whatever remus does, and virgil spending a lot of time outside because he once read that taking walks through nature helps with anxiety.

(basically do anything that contradicts the idea that you have to be thin and pale to be emo and i will love you forever).

punk 👏 patton and pastel 👏 goth 👏 virgil.

on that note: guro lolita remus and kuro lolita deceit!!

brotherly logicality with a relationship similar to wirt and greg from over the garden wall. oof.

patton being a cat person. this feels pretty canon already but people often make him into a dog person so- just imagine him with a little kitty who usually has trust issues with most people, but a soft spot for him! 

oppositely: virgil as a dog person! maybe he has a service dog or one of those small old pups who are more chilled out. at halloween he puts them into one of those creepy spider costumes that’s too realistic for comfort and it’s great.

deceit with a lisp. he’s still suave and charming, he just also happens to be adorable. make fun of him for it and Perish.

Roman: *holds his hand for Remus to take*

Remus: *licks his entire palm before slapping it into Roman’s grip*

Roman: ergsjfs

Roman and Remus: *fuses*

*blinding light*

King: Ahhhhhh… oh my.

Logan: It actually worked?

King: Oh! Hi Logan! :D

Logan: Hi…

King: Wait, *points at Logan* Eenie *turns to point at Virgil and Patton* Meenie, Miny… *gasps* WHERE IS MY SON!

Patton: Thomas?

King: What?! NO! My son! Where’s my little snake!

Virgil: Wait? You mean-

Deceit *coming downstairs*: What are you all doing to be so loud?

King: My Baby!

Deceit *shakily*: D- Dad?

King *rushes forward to pick Deceit up in his arms*: AH MY BABY! Look at you! You’re grown so much! You were so tiny when I found you. *crying* My little ankle biter!

Deceit: *clinging to King for dear life with all his arms crying into his shoulder*

Logan *watching them both*: I- this is to pure to possess.

David’s Fic-Rec Friday:  2019/11/15

Hey guys.  Sorry about missing last week.  I… wasn’t in the best head space.  But I’m back in the swing of things and am here with ten new stories for you to peruse.  Let’s get started, shall we?

Drunk on Rosewater by CelticTeddy (aka @hufflepuffxfox)

A human AU set at a theatre cast party.  Patton has dragged Virgil along, despite the latter’s hesitance, to get him to socialize with the other members of the production.  Virgil doesn’t have much of a good time, until accidentally spilling a drink all over himself and the party’s host, one lead actor by the name of Roman, who’s flirty and cocky, but still quite thoughtful when interacting with the sarcastic techie.  There are mentions of anxiety and alcohol consumption, but otherwise it’s a nice piece that’s worth a read.

Well, not so bad, really by Bakurakrazie (aka @bilgisticallykosher)

Based on @ironwoman359′s Sanders’ Sanctuary for Borrowers/Tinies AU (@sanders-sanctuary-au), this rather nice oneshot sees an unnamed borrower being abandoned by their owner and offered to the sinister Shadow Man, who’s already got one (rather dramatic sounding) captive in his clutches.  But this tiny’s about to discover that things aren’t always as bad as they seem.  While it helps to know some of the lore for the overall story, this oneshot can also stand on its own.  And either way, it’s an excellent piece of literature.

The time with the paint by Teethteethteethteethteethteethteeth (Tumblr Account Unknown)

A short drabble about Remus being left alone with some paint, and the insanity that ensues from his ADHD brain.  A very nice and simple look at a sympathetic approach to Remus’ character.  Certainly worth a look.

The Stormy Side by NumberOneEverything (aka @11coffee-queen11)

A simple tale of Virgil having Reverse Seasonal Affective Disorder.  Which means that instead of being someone who gets depressed during certain times of the year, he’s someone whose anxiety is actually lessened during certain kinds of seasons and weather.  Because Virgil delights in the strange joy of a raging downpour, even if he ends up getting sick from it, though luckily Patton’s always on hand to help with that.  A nice character piece.

Goodnight Kiss by crowsofmurder (aka @sanders-sthetis-and-fics)

A college AU featuring an insomniac Roman and a hypocritically up-late-studying Logan.  Roman doesn’t like the idea of Logan burning himself out trying to cram for his exams late at night, so manages to persuade him to get some rest and pick up where he left off in the morning.  Combined with some pre-romantic Logince hints, it’s a sweet story and a good reminder to us all to take care of ourselves, and each other.

House Hunting by EJWalters (aka @kittykatwriteystuff)

A short piece about Vampire Couple Roman and Logan arguing about their new house.  Roman wants to live in a mansion, but Logan’s not interested in blowing their entire centuries old savings on something they don’t really need.  As mentioned before, they are vampires, which could be problematic, and there is a brief allusion to adult content.  But otherwise it’s a sweet little story and definitely worth your time.

Halloween Party by HelloColdWorld (aka @oh-star-how-the-mighty-fall)

A modern fantasy AU featuring a quartet of witches putting on a Halloween party for their friends and neighbors.  A simple yet excellent story about holiday fun.  There are mentions of anxiety and witchcraft, so do mind yourself.  But otherwise it’s a hell of a holiday fun time.

Nobody Matters Like You by patheticjazzhands (Tumblr Account Unknown)

A human AU featuring a 19 year old Patton being found by his friend Roman crying in a stairwell.  Patton’s ex-girlfriend has just dropped off a souvenir from their failed relationship in the form of his newborn daughter.  He’s not ready to be a dad, but Roman’s assurances, plus his own parental instincts kicking in, seem to suggest otherwise.  There is mention of adult content, though it’s only alluded to.  Otherwise, this story is heart wretchingly beautiful in all the right ways.

I’ll Always Come Back For You. by mikey-girl12 (Tumblr Account Unknown)

A fantasy tale about King Roman going on a mission with his best knight, Virgil, while his husband Logan stays behind with their son Patton.  And no matter what happens, Roman promises that he will always come back to them, no matter what.  There is mention of violence, wounds, and blood, though nothing too graphic.  So as long as you’re careful, this story is still worth a read.

adopt don’t shop by lovelylogans (Tumblr Account Unknown)

A lovely piece about our four boys looking to adopt a pet.  They’re split fifty-fifty on whether to get a cat or a dog.  But a visit to their local shelter brings an unexpected someone into their lives, a someone who immediately warms his way into their hearts in a way that defies their own personal preferences.  An absolutely adorable work.

i think i'd like non-binary labels better if they weren't just all the most disgustingly corny shit ever concieved. like phrases inclusive of non-binary people are ALWAYS some shit like "attention ladies/gentlemen/PAL-LY-O'S!" or "one day you'll get a boyfriend/girlfriend/special lil squishy person :3" or "hey dudes/dudettes/dude-illi-doo-dees" or "to all my kings, queens, and silly little royal friends..." like you know what. don't ever refer to me as a non-binary person actually if that's how it's gonna be just call me dude it's not that hard

It’s midnight and Virgil can’t sleep. Again.

He’s been staring up at the ceiling for hours, desperately trying to fall asleep, to no avail. Too many thoughts were swirling around his mind. Too many possibilities and problems and questions. No amount of counting sheep could help him now.

He gives up. With a sigh, Virgil pushes himself off his bed and wraps a robe around himself. If sleep was avoiding him tonight, he might as well do something even half way productive. In sock silent feet, he makes his way into the kitchen, his mind already on the coffee he was going to make.

Just as he reaches for the door knob, it turns and the door swings open to reveal a very sleepy prince.

“Ro? Why are you awake?”

Roman yawns and rubs his eyes.

“I could ask you the same question.”

“Couldn’t sleep.”

“Same.”

Virgil took a step forward, wrapping his arms around the taller side and resting his head on the prince’s shoulder. Roman immediately returned the embrace, sighing softly in contentment. Neither of them moved for a while.

“I have a proposition for you.”

Roman’s breath tickled Virgil’s neck.

“I’m all ears.”

“You and I go up to my room and cuddle.”

“That’s—“ The anxious side cut himself off with a yawn. “That’s a brilliant idea.”

The two sides sunk out, reappearing in the creative side’s room. Virgil smiled. It always smelled like new books and pine needles in Roman’s room.

“Come on, dearest.”

The prince effortlessly swept Virgil off his feet and carried him the short distance to the bed before gingerly laying him down. Then he flopped down on top of the other side with a huff.

“Get off, you leech!”

“No. You’re warm.”

“Then at least roll over so I can breathe!”

Roman whined, but did as he was told before latching on to the anxious side once more, pulling him onto his chest.

“We should do this more often.”

“I agree wholeheartedly, stormcloud.”
