HANG THE MOON REVIEW
When starting this I was in some sort of a reading slump, but this book completely pulled me out of that reading slump. The writing was beautiful, the characters were very well developed. I am kinda obsessed with this book.
Romance: 4/5
Writing: 5/5
Characters: 5/5
Romance
The romance in this book was amazing. I was a fan of how it had LGBTQIA+ rep with multiple characters being part of that community. This book is a own voices queer book and I loved that. I enjoyed that Annie was bi, but she didn’t end up with a woman. I enjoyed this because in media when a character is bi they end up with a woman because that is how bi is portrayed in a lot of media (not in all) and I really liked seeing that, as I am bi myself.
Writing
The writing was phenomenal. The written kept me intrigued the whole time. It makes me really want to read other books by this author. I am really excited that there is going to be a companion novel following Margot.
Characters
The characters were really relatable. They just made you connect to them. Which is something I love when reading. The characters were just amazing.
Conclusion
I love this book. My rating is 4.5/5. It is really good and I don’t really have any complaints.

REALM BREAKER REVIEW
Tumblr media
The book is amazing. I loved every second of reading this. The world was so detailed and the story was overall amazing. I loved how the world has so much I had to use the map, which I love. The map has everything you could ever want from a map. For short yes, yes I would recommend this book to everyone.
World Building: 5/5
Characters: 5/5
Plot: 5/5
Romance: 5/5
Overall: 5/5
World Building
The world building was executed so well. I felt like I didn’t have to reread to understand the world, and that the world was so detailed but was shown in a easy way to understand. Also you got a map to show where things are, the creatures in the water. It was just beautiful.
Characters
The characters were developed so well. For a lot of the characters I felt connected to easily. And the characters I didn’t love when I first met in the end cared about a lot. For example Domachridhan I wasn’t the biggest fan of, but by the end of the book I would cry if anything happened to him. And that goes for all of the characters except Taristan and Erida. My favorite character is Sorasa the assassin. Her character was so interesting and I loved every chapter in her perspective.
Plot
The plot was very solid. It had a good cast of characters to execute the plot. I loved how the whole plot had a connection to the first line, which is “No mortal alive had ever seen a spindle.” And the plot has to do with spindleblades and spindleblood. Also as someone who loves Red Queen and was expecting a plot twist I wasn’t expecting what what happened to have happened.
Romance
I enjoyed the romance or lack of romance in this book. I really appreciated not having romance in a book because in every ya fantasy there is romance and a lot of the time it is just a side plot. As an asexual person I really liked that there really wasn’t romance.
Quotes
As I read this book I put together my favorite quotes ( a lot of these are from Sorasa chapters ) so here they are:
“Again I wished for Garion, if only to push him into harms way.
But I am alone. It’s the road I’ve chosen.” - p.g. 104
- I love this quote. Sorasa is a queen and the road she chose was right.
“‘Let alone a lady.’
Or a princess or a fairy queen or any other hero in a story for children and fools” - p.g. 116
- honestly I relate to this quote. Like Coryane sometimes I don’t want to be some hero in a story (sometimes).
“While lower peoples of most kingdoms are free to wed as they choose, man, woman, between or neither.” - p.g. 136
- So I don’t like Erida, but I do love that it includes people who aren’t man or woman in this quote.
“Maybe he’ll drown, Sorasa thought idly, half a wish.” - p.g. 285
- I really just find this quote funny. Sorasa really didn’t like Dom and I still don’t love Dom but I don’t want anything to happen to him.
“One insufferable immortal life is worth the Guild. It is a cost I am happy to pay.” - p.g. 364
- (another Sorasa quote) I love how much her character changes from this point on.
“Smashed rails in either side of the galley. Lost cargo. A dead captain, along with a dozen members of the crew. All in all, not so bad for a battle with a sea serpent.” - p.g. 480
- I honestly love how beautifully written this is.
“Our only hope is surprise. Get a sword, get a dagger, get any weapons we can. Fight until the numbers are back on our side. Let Dom do the heavy lifting. I could manage the rest.
Above all else, she knew, keep Corayne an- Amarat alive” - p.g. 518
- one this is beautifully written. Two I love how Sorasa realizes what needs to happen.
Overall read this book it is amazing and I love. It is one of the best books of 2021. I loved Red Queen and I love Realm Breaker just as much. So in conclusion GO READ THIS BOOK.

If This Gets Out by Sophie Gonzales and Cale Deitrich
I got this book via NetGalley. This book is a Queer coming of age novel. This book has great lgbtq+ representation.
This book has a character that is out and one that is not. The relationship isn’t exactly a slow burn, but it is still a good romance.
This book had a slow start, but overall really enjoyed it. I would rate it a 3.5 but if I were to round it, it would be a 3/5 stars.
Overall I would recommend this to anyone who wants a queer romance. I am not the biggest fan of romance but it was really good.

Bone Criers Moon Review
Tumblr media
Bone Criers Moon by Kathryn Purdie is an epic high fantasy. I read this book because I saw it all over social media when the sequel Bone Criers Dawn was released at the end of March.
Characters: 4/5
World-building: 4.5/5
Plot: 5/5
Romance: 3/5
Overall Story: 4.75/5
The Characters
The characters were pretty solid. My favorite is Sabine. The friendship between Ailesse and Sabine was one of my favorite parts. I wasn’t a fan Bastien I don’t really know why. At the beginning I thought I would grow to like this character (I didn’t). Overall the characters were pretty good.
The World-building
All I really have to say about the world-building was that it explained things without having an info dump. And I rarely didn’t understand something.
The Plot
The plot was so good. The plot is Sabine trying to get to Ailesse and Ailesse and Bastien trying to break their bond. There was also a few plot twists near the end that really surprised me. They were executed very well.
Romance (SPOILERS kinda)
So the romance is between Ailesse and Bastien. The main two tropes were soulmates and enemies to lovers. The soulmates was really good because it made sense. But even though Bastien had kidnapped Ailesse she forgave him which was not something I enjoyed. Especially with how it was done. Most of the time that trope is something I enjoy, but not for these characters.
Overall Story
The overall story is amazing. Once I read the second one I think it will be my favorite duology beating Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. But all in all this story was very well rounded.

Today I wanted to do another review and since last night I finished Trouble Girls by Julia Lynn Rubin I thought I’d review it.
I received an arc from a goodreads giveaway and I never expected it to be this good.
Characters: 3.5/5
Romance: 4.5/5
Plot: 5/5
Thriller Aspect: 5/5
Overall: 4/5
Okay so this books had pretty solid characters. There were just a few i wasn’t really a fan of. Also Trixie and Lux were such powerful characters, they are just elite characters. I also loved that it was queer. And Trixie just has a never trust a man vibe which you see from the first page.
The romance was just fun to see the relationship grow as the story goes on.
The plot was amazing. A lot of the time there is either a good plot or good characters. This book had both. It was just beautifully written.
The thriller aspect was really fun to see play put.
And the overall story was just fun to follow along. Also I love how there is a page that says content warning because not many books have that. If you want to get into thrillers I would recommend checking this book out. All in all it is a beautifully written fun story.
This book will be released June 1st, 2021. And thank you to goodreads for hosting this giveaway.

I just finished this book it was the last shadowhunters book I had to read, so I thought I would review it.
I really enjoyed this book. In none of the novellas I got bored.
Characters: 4/5
Novellas: 4.5/5
Story Overall: 5/5
I loved seeing the backstories of the characters. I also really liked the last story which were Magnus’s voicemail during City of Lost souls. I felt like it was a fun way to show how they kept calling him.
I also enjoyed seeing Tessa and how she was there when Jocelyn first went to Magnus with Clary.
Overall this book is really good, I would just recommend reading it after City of Lost Souls. Also it has our favorite high warlock as the main character.
That was my review from good reads, but I want to expand on it. This book had very entertaining stories. It isn’t the most entertaining novella in this series, but it gave a lot of backstory on the characters. This introduces you to Anna Lightwood which is one of the main characters in the Last Hours trilogy which was super fun to see.
