The entire camp overflows with bleeding hearts; if Astarion could feed on metaphors, he'd never go hungry another day in his life.

It's a shaggy white thing, far cleaner than it has any right to be for having been wandering the wilderness with its once-owner. It's been behaved so far, too, but Astarion knows better than to be won over by something so simple as that.

"It'll get into the supplies, you know," Astarion says, primly, from where he's sitting by the fire. "I hope whoever extended the invitation to our newest little camp hanger-on thought far enough ahead to arrange for a leash and a tether at night."

Shadowheart is beside him, knelt by the fire to allow a sausage on a stick to slowly char. "Come, now," she tells him. "We don't keep you leashed at night, and you stand to sink your teeth into something far more valuable than a few scraps here and there."

Was inspired to make a little comic about a funny glitch I saw in one of LostInFaerun's videos. I like to post my rough drafts sometimes to compare to the finished product and look back on my work. Haven't placed the dialogue yet and I don't know how much detail I'll put into this one yet. Want to keep it a pretty simple comic, but hope you like how it's coming along!

Also had a tone of fun doodling Karlach and Astarion! I've wanted to try drawing them for so long so this was a good excuse to practice.

my favorite astarlach again.

so they are clearing goblins camp and ofc astarion has a lot of fun. he enjoys his freedom. his euphoria is shown on his face, he is in blood, his hair is a mess and there is creepy smile with these little fangs which are slightly seen. oh it’s delicious for him. for somebody he would look scary but for karlach? she is hypnotized by the wicked little freak. she is hypnotized by how he enjoys this bloodshed. Even though they are killing goblins for good, for helping tieflings, she can't help but notice that Astarion is enjoying the cruelty of this carnage. Karlach sees clearly an echo of the darkness that she has always felt in him somehow but at this moment it can be shown without him caring how it will affect the opinion of the group.

It surprises her how some kind of realization of her developing feelings for him come exactly at this moment. and after Astarion kills the last goblin and takes a look in her direction he sees her in blue flames. Her eyes are beautifully burning, her engine in the chest is pulsating with blue light. She is just standing and looking at him intently. And it’s the first time he sees her blue flame and finds out she can do it.

“Gods, what is this? You can’t stop surprising me, aren’t you?”

after some time he will understand why she lights up with a blue flame or she will tell him herself. ofc he guessed she finds him beautiful (who didn’t?) and he gives her sparks as she likes to say to him but now its even more pleasant for Astarion to see the confirmation of these feelings in a such novel way. As for him it will take some time to confess to her and admit to himself that he also took a few glimpses of her during the battle and was mesmerized by her fearsome gaze and eyes burning with fire when she broke goblins’ backs and decapitated them like a furious animal in her barbarian rage. People will find it scary but not Astarion. Her strength and energy attracted and fascinated him. And maybe, maybe all of these will make him fantasize what is it like to be held it these strong arms. Feeling extremely warm like you are bathed in the sunlight? Feeling safe?
