Anonymous: "0004 is there anything near you you can take with you?"

Of course there is! It's Jaune and Brendan's dorm room, after all.

Both boys grab their backpacks from the ends of their beds and, after removing the school supplies, sling them onto their backs. Brendan stuffs a spare set of clothes into his, and after a moment of thought, Jaune does the same.

Reaching for their bedside tables, both boys grab their belts, adorned with Pokéballs. Jaune has two, while Brendan has three.

citrinemotacill: "A0004: Jaune says "Hell yes!" Then kicks the wooden boards out of the way. Charging out the door, he realises that he doesn't actually know where the Student Store is, and waits for Brendan to take the lead.

Anonymous: "A0004: Leave the room, use the daylight to search for other people,supplies and a flashlight. It might be a good idea to hide during the day and travel at night. If you're not mistaken, there's less nocturnal Pokémon, right?"

Jaune runs into the hallway, with Brendan following close behind. It's a madhouse in the corridor. Students rush for the stairs at either end of the hallway, gripping tightly to whatever belongings they managed to carry. Residential Advisors bang loudly on the remaining closed doors with rubber mallets, frantically trying to rouse anyone still sleeping. A few students turn to look at Jaune's display of readiness as they pass, but they're obviously preoccupied with the evacuation orders.

Jaune turns to Brendan, explaining his lack of knowledge pertaining to the location of the Student Union.

"You don't know?" He asks incredulously. "Well, I guess if you only eat in the cafeteria and bought all your supplies beforehand... Anyways, it's not far. We just have to leave via the front entrance, turn right, and walk a block. It's only three doors down."

He places a hand under his chin, though. "Before we leave, we might want to see if we can get some more information from the RAs."

Anonymous: "A00003: Think over the evacuation plan you detailed out with Brendan and your other friends."

Jaune ponders for a bit. They hadn't really put together a plan, not seriously at least. It was mostly centered around doing what the adults had told them, like a fire drill. As for the others in their group of friends, most had either already left campus, or...

He didn't want to think about it.

sirjude: "A0003 : Agree with Brendan and escape, the 4th floor would mean certain death if anything came stalking upstairs."

As the two come to an agreement, they begin to actually plan a course of action to escape. Brendan suggests heading to the Student Store to see what supplies they might be able to wrangle up.

It doesn't take long before the furniture in front of the door is cleared away. As the two stare at the thin wooden board separating them from a dangerous new world, Brendan turns to Jaune.

"Do you think we're ready to go?"

Anonymous: "A0002 can you peek at the window?"

sirjude: "A0002 : Try to look out the window. Also grab your bat again since there could still be trouble, best not to make it double."

Ignoring Brendan's question for the moment, Jaune fumbles around the pile of furniture and retrieves the baseball bat he'd thrown. It doesn't look any worse for the wear after being flung into the wall.

Upon crossing the room, he peers out the window. It's too dark to see much outside, especially with the street lamps out. Apparently the power outage isn't limited to only this building. Jaune and Brendan's room is on the fourth floor, overlooking a deserted street below. There are similar buildings both across the street and flanking this one.

candlequestgm: "[A002] "uh, maybe? are we? What's going on? What's with the siren? Why do we even have a siren?"" Anonymous: "A0002 Ask Brendan what's happened within the past while as far as he remembers."

The other boy hops out of his bed, and fixes Janue with a level stare. "Still a bit sleepy? Don't you remember? The wild Pokémon from around the city have all gone crazy. The city's been almost completely overtaken, and it looks like the University is next.

"I'm guessing that noise is the the evacuation siren. We were told to stay in our rooms until either someone came and got us, or we heard that sound.

"Maybe we should get out of here."

perigm: "A0002: Ask to see Brendan's inventory."

Brendan has just hopped out of bed, and as a result, isn't carrying anything other other than the baseball bat.

Anonymous: "A0002 MAke a mental map of your surroundings. Pokemon center, houses, shop?"

Jaune is currently on Celadon University's campus, which is in the eastern-central part of the city. To the north lies the Northern Residential District, where the city's main Pokémon Center is. To the west is the Casino District, and in the south, the Tourist District.

The University has a small Pokémon Healing Station in its Student Union, and in the Medical departments. There's also a Student Store in the Union.

citrinemotacill: "A0001: Jaune freezes then turns dramatically towards the voice. Before screaming and throwing the bat away when he sees them."

As Jaune turns toward the source of the question, he can see a black shadow rising up from the second bed in the room. Screaming again, he flings the baseball bat to the side, hearing it clang against the wall and fall to the floor with a metallic crash. The figure covers its ears and winces, obviously still sensitive from waking up.

Anonymous: "A0001: Find a light switch and turn it on, then identify whoever's in the room with you."

Jaune feels around the door frame for the light switch. He manages to find it, but when he flips it to the "on" position, nothing happens. It seems the power is out.

However, in the few minutes since he woke up, the light from outside has gotten brighter, so can now make out the features of the other person. It's Jaune's roommate, Brendan. He had also slept in his clothes, it seems.

Brendan looks at Jaune with trepidation for a second before reaching under his pillow and pulling out another baseball bat. "What's going on? Are we under attack?"

theemeraldstag: "A0000 Jaune looks around his room and picks up the nearest weapon or item that can be used as a weapon"

It's still very dark in the room, so Jaune can't make out much. He stumbles to the wall and feels his foot knock against something. The item then tips over and clatters to the ground. He feels around for a bit before grabbing the offending item. It's an aluminum baseball bat. Jaune swings it a couple times.

citrinemotacill: "A0000; run from the building screaming"

As he grips the bat, Jaune feels himself overcome with a frenzy. He takes a deep breath, and belts out a loud scream that even manages to drown out the siren. He starts to run for where he knows the door to be...

And smashes into the barricade made out of desks and chairs placed in front. He and the furniture topple into a heap with a crash. A well-placed chair smashes him in the left arm, leaving him with a major bruise.

Behind him, there is a loud snort, followed by a coughing fit. Jaune now recognizes one of the sounds that had accompanied the siren: snoring. The owner of the noise then speaks.

"Jaune? What's going on? Did they get in?"

Jaune sits up in his bed. The dorm room is dark, but a there's a small amount of light coming in from the window. It seems dawn is not far away.

As he tries to discern what awoke him, he realizes that it's currently very loud in the room. There are a few different noises assaulting him, but the one that he focuses on is what sounds like an air-raid siren.

It's a good thing he went to sleep with his black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans still on. It's time to get out of here. Celadon University isn't safe anymore.

Celadon City is under siege.

Wild Pokémon have been attacking the city in droves for a week. Only three districts remain: The Gym District, the Northern Residential District, and Celadon University. And now, the third is about to fall. 

Evolutions is a choose-your-own-adventure story in the vein of RWBYQuest. Through the input of you, the readers, you will play as Jaune Arc, and hope to unravel the mystery of the attacking hordes.

Reach the Pokémon Center in the Northern Residential District and gather a force to restore the crippled city. All the while, be on the lookout for a way to stop the siege.

The quest updates relative to the amount of asks received and the schedule of the GM. Much like RWBYQuest, suggestions depend on a numbers system. If you do not use the system, your ask will be thrown out.

And finally, the characters in RWBY have vastly different motives and backgrounds in Celadon City. A friend in one may be an enemy in another. Be careful who you trust. The Characters page will update whenever a new person is found. When new information about a character is discovered, the page may update to reflect the new data.
