Slowly but surely my Milan series on isolation/solitude is reaching it’s conclusion. How does one react to being alone, seperated, in a pitch black room submerged in a monotonous (loud) soundscape. Is it soothing, or does it makes you anxious. Will you sit still (and even close your eyes), or will you nervously adjust your posture, look around for nothing to see (or even run away). And how to capture that reaction. The first images were easy to pick, by ‘story’ and by aesthetics. But the mass of hundreds of images tell an equally appealing story.. all the different reactions put together.
